Apocalypse Reign: The Harem System

This is a novel that combines elements of post-apocalyptic survival and supernatural abilities. The story is set against the backdrop of a zombie outbreak, where the protagonist, Michal, unexpectedly awakens a mysterious system called the "Harem System." This system grants him superhuman abilities and promises that as long as he rescues beautiful girls and makes them his women, he will receive system rewards, enabling him to rise to the top in the post-apocalyptic world. Michal was originally an orphan working as a security guard in a luxurious residential area, often despised and ridiculed by his wealthy classmates. When the apocalypse strikes, he finds himself trapped with the aloof class beauty, Simona. Simona, who had previously shown little interest in Michal, is now forced to seek his help and even knelt down and begged to follow him. Using his newfound powers, Michal not only manages to protect himself and Simona but also gradually attracts other female characters, such as the top student, the sports goddess, a mature lady, and a stunning celebrity, bringing them all back to his refuge. In the harsh post-apocalyptic environment, Michal must face not only the threat of zombies but also the treachery of human nature. He has to make decisive choices, using his wisdom and strength to lead the women around him to survive and gradually expand his influence. Michal's growth and adventures, along with his complex relationships with the numerous female characters, form the core attraction of this story.

I choose you tonight

When the two woke up, it was already dark. Michal stretched and felt hungry, ready to eat. Eileen woke up as well, and they went downstairs together.

Simona, Wendy, and Vera were already waiting for them on the ground floor. All the food was distributed by Michal, and they couldn't have dinner until he woke up.

Seeing Michal come downstairs, Wendy quickly greeted him with a smile, "Michal, you're awake? We're really hungry. Can we have dinner now?"

"Yeah, I overslept. Sorry about that," Michal said with a smile.

Wendy's face showed a mischievous expression as she joked, "It seems you've gotten stronger! You lasted longer than you make love with me. Is there something special about this new resident? Did she excite you more than I do?"

Eileen blushed deeply at Wendy's words, lowering her head in embarrassment, wanting to find a hole to hide in.

Michal knew Wendy and the others had heard the sounds from the first floor, but he didn't mind. Instead, he patted Wendy's head and said proudly, "She's a ballet teacher, so what do you think? She can put her knees over her shoulders as a pillow! "

"What's the matter? Feeling a bit jealous? Don't worry, next time with you, I'll aim for two hours."

"What? Last time I nearly died in bed, and now you're talking about two hours? No way, no way!" Wendy quickly ran off. Recalling the fear of being dominated by Michal that night still sent shivers down her spine. Begging for mercy hadn't helped then!

Watching her run away, Michal chuckled and started taking out food to prepare dinner. This time, he took out a pack of noodles, a bag of rice, a bottle of cooking oil, some chicken essence, MSG, salt, and even some fresh vegetables—all things he had scavenged from the convenience store.

Everyone was stunned to see Michal pull out so many items.

"Michal, where did you get all those things?" Wendy asked, her face full of disbelief. When Michal had returned earlier with just the new resident, he hadn't brought any visible supplies. Now he was producing all these items from seemingly nowhere.

"Of course, I have a place to store them. But where exactly, that's for me to know," Michal replied with a smile. "So, does anyone here know how to cook?"

Simona and Wendy shook their heads. Like Michal, they were first-year students and came from wealthy families where they never had to cook for themselves.

Vera also shook her head. As a third-tier actress, cooking was something her assistant handled, and she had never even set foot in a kitchen.

Eileen, however, nodded. "I... I can cook. I'm not sure if it will suit everyone's tastes, though."

Wendy's eyes lit up. "Wow! Eileen, you can cook? That's amazing! We've been eating bread and sausages for days, and we're sick of it! Anything you make will be better than that!"

"Exactly! Eileen, we can help you. Just tell us what to do," Simona added eagerly.

Even Vera chimed in, "I... I can try to help, though I might not be very good at it."

Eating sausages, bread, and vacuum-sealed chicken might be fine as snacks, but having them as the main meals every day was unbearable. The idea of fresh-cooked rice and vegetables was heavenly.

"Alright then, let's get started. Wendy, you can wash the vegetables. Simona and Vera, you can help with chopping. I'll make stir-fried noodles for everyone," Eileen directed.

"Okay!" they all responded, rolling up their sleeves and getting to work. Being stuck in the villa with zombies outside had been boring, and helping with cooking was a welcome change. It was also the first time they had ever cooked, making them both curious and excited.

Soon, the kitchen was bustling with activity, and the smell of stir-fried noodles began to waft into the living room.

Michal couldn't help but take a deep breath. "Mmm! Smells amazing! It's the fifth day of the apocalypse, and getting to eat freshly cooked food is such a treat. No more sausages and vacuum-sealed chicken—those things taste like preservatives."

Shortly, Eileen brought out the first bowl of stir-fried noodles and placed it in front of Michal with a smile. "Michal, try this."

"Sure," Michal said, picking up his chopsticks. One bite and his eyes widened in delight. He hadn't expected the first hot meal during the apocalypse to be so delicious.

"This is really good, Eileen. Were you a chef as well as a dance teacher?" Michal praised.

"No, no, I just enjoy cooking. I'll make more dishes for everyone tomorrow," Eileen said, blushing and lowering her head at the compliment.

Seeing Michal enjoying the stir-fried noodles she made, Eileen felt a sense of accomplishment. She wasn't completely useless after all; she did have some skills.

"You can make other dishes too? That's great! From now on, you can be in charge of food distribution," Michal said happily. In this era, finding a girl who loved to cook was a rare gem. Eileen wasn't just beautiful and flexible; she could also cook. She truly had countless qualities. No wonder Hank had been so obsessed with her.

But now, the one who had won her over was Michal. If Hank knew, he would be furious, perhaps even turning over in his grave.

The three girls, Vera, Wendy, and Simona, enjoyed their stir-fried noodles, showing expressions of delight. After consuming so many vacuum-sealed and packaged foods, they were tired of the taste of preservatives.

A simple bowl of stir-fried noodles, which they might not have even glanced at in peacetime due to their privileged backgrounds, now tasted better than anything they had ever had.

The three young women couldn't help but praise the dish:

"This is so good! I can't believe we get to eat hot stir-fried noodles during the apocalypse. I'm so touched!"

"Even the best food I had before can't compare to this. Thank you, Eileen!"

"This tastes like mom's cooking. I'm almost in tears!"

Seeing everyone enjoy her cooking, Eileen felt happy and relieved. It was great that everyone liked it, proving she had some value and wasn't completely useless.

After finishing their noodles, Wendy and the others eagerly cleaned the dishes and tidied up. After all, Eileen had cooked for them; they felt it was only fair to do their part.

Each had their own thoughts. Eileen, being the fourth woman to join the villa, immediately demonstrated her worth by cooking a dish that even Michal praised. This made the others feel a bit uneasy and competitive. They didn't want to become useless or redundant.

They quickly washed the dishes and cleaned the table. Michal, satisfied, sat back, digesting his meal. He then looked at everyone and said, "Now that we're full, we can rest. Who wants to join me upstairs tonight? Any volunteers?"

Michal's room was upstairs, while the women's rooms were downstairs. It was obvious what would happen if they went upstairs with him. Michal had just had a sex bout with Eileen, and now he was ready for more?

Volunteers? Considering how strong and energetic he was, who could keep up with him?

The women blushed, no one daring to speak. Michal smirked and said, "Oh, no volunteers? Alright then, I'll just pick. Wendy, I choose you tonight"

Wendy's eyes widened in shock as she pointed at herself. "Me? Oh no!"

"No! Didn't I say we'd go for two hours next time?" Michal said with a grin.

"Oh my god! Please spare me, dear husband!" Wendy exclaimed, looking utterly resigned.
