The crazy book
The book is sitting quietly in his night stand the next morning. Kai thinks since it is a glowing book, the sky is the limit to what it can do.
He finished showering which is somehow always very awkward for him. He doesn't know why but thinks it is because he is not happy with his weight. He asked the butler to order him some ingredients and watched a video on line to learn how to make breakfast.
He made a simple porridge drank a glass of milk. He saw it on the video but he didn't like the taste of milk in his mouth, immediately wanted to spit it out but...
"Sir milk is very nutritious for your body and the scan said your bones are not strong enough to handle the weight of your body. The milk may help it this sir."
He swallowed the rest of the milk with a grimace. The truth is as Wang Kai in the past he hated milk, this is the body's slow adjustment to the new soul.
A knock came through the door. "The lock smith is here sir, I had ordered the state of the art home security system including a new set of door locks, windows that will have compressed steel plates to shut the entire house in case of an emergency.
"Is all that necessary?"
"No, but you had instructed me to order the most expensive security system in the market. They flew here from the North America. Their resume stated that they have worked with the white house."
"Its it not going to be noisy?"
"It is but it will spend money."
"Alright. You speak to them."
The doors are finally opened and the men and women got inside. The housing office had approved of the work as long as it doesn't change the original outer appearance of the villa.
He took his wallet and went to pick up his computer and left to a nearby hotel. On his way out he took his medication. He has it in his house he just never take it on time which landed him in the hospital many times so one of the main house staff members was assigned to make sure he takes it on time.
Kai left the villa. The news reached the young master who is responsible for all matters that has to do with Kai. He picked up the phone and listened as the person on the other side spoke about the foreign workers in the villa and how noisy it is for the neighbors.
Luckily the Wang family owns a considerable size of that area so the neighbors are not too close. The villas around Kai's villa are all used by the Wang family.
Hearing that Kai spent 600 000 on a home security system made him amused. He is glad the boy is willing to spend the money his family gave him which means he might have given up the absurd idea of fighting him for the family assets.
He told his secretary to pay the rest of the money for the boy if he ends up not able to pay it himself. The secretary is surprised but did as he is told.
The hotel he booked himself in turned out to be his family's and he is allowed to stay as long as he doesn't cause a scene like the last time. He nodded and walked into his room without thinking much about it.
He took out his computer and turned it on. "Sir, are you going to upgrade me soon?"
"I don't have my memories."
"Maybe you can learn again? You have hyperthymesia. And an IQ of 312."
"Does this mean I can upgrade you?"
"You did it before. You needed a few materials to do it again but the assassin who tried to murder you stole half of it however, there is enough to make a difference."
"Why do you want to be upgraded so bad?"
"It is because the new system will allow me to have faster processing power and the new battery you made last summer is enough to allow me to be fully functional for at least two years after we finish charging it."
"Where are the books? I am just curious it doesn't mean I will do it." Kai said feeling bored.
He ordered room service, took his medication and read. The technology in this world is advanced there is even a team working on a brain computer.
He didn't start with these types of books. He read history first. He learned that those drones that have been delivering all his orders were first manufactured 2 decades ago. The housing system followed then the robots for simple tasks such as cleaning robots. Are are also used in the factories for jobs such as assembly lines.
It is cheaper to rent robots they don't need leave or take bathroom breaks or go to sleep as long as they are recharged. The law has made it so humans are hired to a certain extent before hiring robots in a large business.
The department of defense has also improved weaponry system including the missile and other weapons of mass destruction. The UN is still maintaining the peace between countries otherwise they would have destroyed each other by now.
He then delved into the school knowledge from primary school to high schools knowledge. He took an entire week only eating and learning. Afterwards he applied to take his final exam to obtain his diploma.
The butler told him that he had fought in school and then the next day he developed fever while he was grounded at home because the school expelled him and the other kids who were fighting.
His wound is healing well. He has a set of medicine to disinfect and clean it before bandaging it up nicely every two days.
He is wondering why this book keeps bothering him so he decided to make a simple recipe from the book and test whether it works. He ordered the simple ingredients from the online medical store.
Upon delivering, he saw a peculiar aura around the medicine and he instinctively knew its good energy. But he didn't worry too much about it and followed the recipe.
He succeeded in the third try. A blob of mud is then divided into several small pills. He took one and ate it. He had starved himself for this experiment. Kai is delighted to find out that his hunger pangs disappeared after taking this fasting pill. Looking at the pill in wonder, does this mean he can make the other recipes in the book including the weigh loss medical soup?
