Mistake

Kai finally made it home. The main gate is now guarded by a highly functioning robot who has a software to scan people coming in or going out. He can see if they are not one of the residents or if they have been infected by the virus.

The twins greeted Kai on the way. They are over seeing the cleansing project that will clean the soil completely. There is now a hill of dirt made of the soil dug up from the villa area inside their space rings ready to be dumped into the mountains. Kai will help them plant the resilient and lush grass from his space.

This will also be the case for the animal shelter he will have built alongside the flat houses to sell high quality food to the base at a steep price. Kai had been confused by what he will do with all this space in the future but then it came to him, It can use it to get wealth.

Kai may have had difficulties with his adopted family but they did show him the importance of having wealth. It may be unclear what he will need all that money for but having more is definitely better than having non.

Reports came in, only seventy homes have families living in them which means Kai has more than 230 empty villas for his own use. Taking out the 23 people who are in his space, he decided to let them live in the outside world so they will see the real world as it is instead of what it used to be.

"You may choose a house here and live there. It is up to you whether you live alone or together but you won't be able your change your mind later." Kai said giving the soldiers a place to stay.

As time goes by, he will slowly increase the number of robots they can command using their individual red bolt commander ring. It is important they learn to adjust into the apocalypse.

Before going into his villa he went to inspect the Wang ancestral property so he can turn it into a hospital. Kai assigned some of the people under him to clean the place up as soon as they finish moving in.

The place is certainly big enough. Kai then went home but as soon as he entered he is dodging a glass full of water. Looking at the situation he saw Huo Gin seated in the kitchen counter while seemingly waiting for him.

"Hello to you too dear betrothed." Kai said sarcastically.

"Why the hell are you stealing my family's property? You better come back to your senses or I will burn this place to the ground." She shouted but Kai just chuckled.

"Your Huo family failed to do the one thing I wanted them to do which was to play politics and keep the noise out of this place so I can work and live in peace. I had one job for them which Is why I had tolerated them in the first place but the blew it." Kai took a seat on the other side.

"This will not stand. My family will return and when that happens you will not even have a cave to live in let a lone this luxurious villa." She sounds angry.

"It is a done deal at his point. After showing the base leader my ability to defend this place and offered to build a hospital that will have all the medication currently unavailable in the base, everyone welcomes me with open arms." Kai told her flatly.

"That can't be." Disbelief evident in her eyes. How can her family lose to a kid?

"I don't have all the time in the world to convince you but you are not a prisoner here. You can leave and find out all of this for yourself." Kai massaged his eyebrows suddenly feeling annoyed.

"Are you saying I don't have to marry you?" She widened her eyes.

"You don't. In fact you can take your things and leave this very moment." Kai said in response.

"Is that what you want?" She asked him not knowing what's answer she wants to hear from the man who took away a very important part of her.

"I don't know you. Maybe you are a great person maybe not but you and me were forced into this situation. You can leave now and focus of getting your power back or you can stay here for whatever reason." Kai stood up and went to his room.

The villa is cleaned daily by the nanny. Kai took out his children and let them stay here since he is around. The girl he decided to name Vania while the boy he named Nathaniel they will be called Waters, his family name. Their nanny is called Melissa while the many is called Benjamin.

Nate and Vania are very lively children who like playing with animals inside his space or at least they want to but are too small to be allowed to.

Kai would bathe and change them when he is home. The only thing that he is currently struggling with is how to get them to eat when he feeds them. When he came home sounds of babies can be heard which confused Huo Gin as she packs her belongings to leave.

There is no way she will stay willingly with a man who has done so much wrong to her family and still not be called a traitor. She knows better than anyone how powerful her family is. They will not be dismissed so easily by anyone. If she stays here then she will become a prisoner.

The Huo family has one of the territories belonging to a family that did not survive the last attack. Although the place is not as large and protected as the villa area it is also very big but understandably the family is not happy about it.

They all loved their place before and being kicked out like this is very embarrassing especially since the base leader seems to accept this situation now that Kai is going to build a hospital.

"The power he demonstrated today is immense. What are we going to do?" Huo Guo asked his father who sat at the head of the table with a thoughtful expression.

"Should we give up?" Huo Guo's wife asked. The men turned to her.

"He embarrassed our family and lowered the prestige of the Huo family. There is no way this can be settled just like this." Huo Jun spoke.

"The boy needs to remember our name. We are not a bunch of no bodies to be kicked and dismissed easily. Our family has been around for several hundreds of years for a reason." Old man Huo said calmly but his words are imbued with deep emotion everyone suddenly felt the this is the right way. Kai Waters must be taught a lesson.

Unbeknownst to them, a cloaked small recording device is silently transmitting their conversation back to Phil who is responsible for sorting out the recorded data and report it to Kai if it is of any interest to him.

Kai had learned cloaking technology from the manual that was given to him a long time ago when he was still learning to make a chip.

He decided to make it these days after coming back because his action of taking over the Huo territory will undoubtedly be very dangerous for him. If someone is plotting against him he needs to know and prepare for it which is why he has these devices all over the central base.

He doesn't sit around filtering it for the useful information, Phil has a program running in Kai's home system that will send him the relevant feeds. This is the beauty of machines, they make life very convenient and process data faster than a human brain can ever hope to.

In the week Kai has been home, he has achieved a lot of things because of the liquid chip in his body. He spends most of his time in the second floor that he didn't check in to see that Huo Gin went back to her home and left behind her servants. Paige and her little sister.

Kai's group finished transforming the Wang estate into a large hospital. He stocked it with adequate supplies and equipment for it to function as a high end hospital during normal times. He then sent someone to paste a notice stating the need for health care workers, cleaners but the maintenance team will consist of his robots to ensure everything is always operational and to reduce human error.

Kai didn't even have to device prices because Phil quickly complied a list of common ailments and their corresponding medicine. The relevant price tag is attached for each medication. The fact that Kai has developed new computer chips has helped the hospital system with efficiency.

Kai can just put his robots in the hospital to diagnose and prescribe medication but a human touch is required. As a result he made them responsible for complex and unclear ailments diagnoses but the rest will be done by humans.

The entire base became very lively with applications being submitted. Kai had a place where forms were provided. People just had to show up fill the forms and put them in a box.

Kai's new chief of staff just scanned them and selected the right people before printing out the list of hired people displaying their names on the board a day later. The hospital managed to hire 83 people for now at least they will earn enough work points to live well considering the times.

The several leaders wanted to buy the smart bracelets and Kai is only too eager to sell it to them. Of course he is selling the first model which does not have the what he now calls training space.

His soldiers are usually inside the game training when they are not doing clean up around the villa area. After cutting off the infected blood on the soil, the previous soil was put in several space rings and dumped in the mountains.

Kai transplanted the green and lush grass from her space giving it to his working robots to plant it all over his territory. A large vacant plot of land was dug up a few meters deep and a metal plate was placed afterwards he gave the soil from space to help the territory grow some food.

Kai then manufactured a lot of glass to make a long line of glass houses to help grow food. This place is very special because Kai used black soil and some spring water to help the state of food.

This project took an entire week while Kai was mostly at home with the children, most of his people were working night and day to make this place a success. Looking at the complete work of several glass houses with fertile soil. He can almost see the money rolling in.

The first thing to do though before the planting even begins is to reinforce the glass houses with some runes similar to the ones used on weapons but this time it is to toughen the glass walls so they don't break and ensure the snow or hot weather doesn't ruin the crops. Unfortunately he has to personally do this task but it is not all that bad.

There are cameras everywhere here, if someone does something foul they can be stopped sooner. The other families became increasingly aware of how capable Kai Waters is and were scrambling for his attention. Unfortunately Kai is not a social person all they managed to do is make him annoyed.

The Wang family had retrieved their princess from prison and although she has suffered she is now well protected and surrounded by her family. When she heard what had happened all this time she realized the future has been affected somewhat and she doesn't know the cause.

The first attack wasn't supposed to happen until the hot season arrives. During this season, the currently cold weather will return to the hot temperature which will not happen for the next year at least but now she is not sure.

What she is sure of is the arrival of the necromancy who likes to be referred to as lady green. When zombies and skeletons are under her control, their eye sockets will glow green even in the dark.

If she is not wrong the first to become lady green's lover is Liu Aang who already has a fiancé and she will not have a good ending after trying to go against the necromancer time and time again.

This Linda is very beautiful but gets dumped regardless of her powerful fire supernatural ability. All the men who were with lady green sort of lost their minds and destroyed everyone who stood in her way. Linda was actually killed by her own fiancé just to prove to lady green that he is not in love with her. How miserable.

Looking at another variable in this life, Kai Waters whom she had targeted at that time just to ensure her own family's survival but she got bested at every corner. She lost so badly against this one person that he destroyed her completely leaving her contemplating if she hadn't provoked that monster would she be one of the most powerful people in the world right now instead of being confined in her own home 'for her own protection' by her brother and father who seem to have lost all confidence in her?

She shouldn't have condemned Kai for the things he hadn't done yet. It is clear to her now. She made a huge mistake at that time.
