Invisible Helper
The boy woke up and wanted to go to the bathroom. The place he is at has its private bathroom which is very convenient. After struggling he managed to complete his business and then he looked at the place.
His bed is very large and he somehow knew it is a king size bed, the floor has tiles and a brown fluffy carpet near the bed there is another one near the large couch in the corner facing the floor to ceiling windows and a small round table. It's quite luxurious.
He walked around the house and saw another two bedrooms a quarter smaller than the master bedroom but still fully furnished and lavishly decorated. He saw a kitchen and a seating area with beautiful furniture. There is also a study with a large book shelf, a desk and a chair. There is a computer on the desk and a small tablet on the side.
Walking in the desk, he sat down and the computer lit up. "Welcome sir Kai, would you like to log into your windows?"
The large young man jumped up and looked around. He can't speak. "Scanning, the owner is injured and can not give verbal confirmation. Young master Kai you may simply nod and the butler will take care of it for you." The voice is mechanical and cold but it brings a strange sense of comfort to Kai's nerves.
Kai nodded and the computer is turned on. He went to check the information about the situation of the outside world. From history to economics.
He had found his ID in the bedroom. His name is Wang Kai. According to the internet, he is the second son of the Wang family and is not favored by the entire family because of his origin.
Mr. Wang had married young, he and his wife loved each other but they had lost their son to a kidnapping when he was young. The couple had a daughter after a while but the mother was told she will not be able to bare anymore children.
They adopted a son at the time because Mrs. Wang started to have a mental illness and the doctor suggested they find a son that slightly resembles the both of them and fool her into thinking he is her lost son.
The plan worked and the crisis was temporarily defused but, a tv program that traces parentage of random orphans found the real child and the news were published throughout the televised news channels.
From that day on, everyone found out the actions of the family at the time but no one thought the boy is pitiful, they all thought he was fortunate to have been adopted by the second richest family in the country.
From then on, he was pushed to the background and was slowly forgotten by the world and his adopted family wished he was never adopted to begin with.
The internet has some news about him. It is said he is an obese loser who keeps trying to fight the real young master for the family assets. Reading the nasty comments about him in the internet, he didn't feel upset.
He felt like it is logical for someone to seek out the attention of their parents but the only way to get it seemed to be through fighting for power so they will see that he is competent too.
He found a system network in the computer and typed a few words. "Yes, sir Kai, we may communicate this way."
"Do I live with the family?" He typed.
"Yes but you have a separate villa so that your presence does not upset the Madame."
"Can I change the locks?"
"This villa is in the same community as the main house but it solely belongs to you. You may do as you wish. Would you like me to contact the fasted lock smith and make an order for you?"
"Do I have money to pay for it?"
"You have 2 billion in your account currently. Although you never used it before. You said it's disgusting pay off money."
"These floor to ceiling windows are they bullets proof?"
"No but they are stronger than most glasses."
"Can I get the bullet proof ones?"
"They are sold but they are very expensive."
"Get it and set everything up so that I don't have to speak with them when they get here to put it up."
"Yes sir. If I may, it will cost extra to get it done in a short time."
"It's not my money."
"I will notify the housing authority that you will be making adjustments to the villa? It is mandatory."
"Send the email to whomever is in charge."
"The wording of this email Sir?"
"Surprise me."
"Very well Sir."
He got off the computer and went for another look around the house, specifically the gym in the first floor. It even has its own separate bathroom.
The ground floor has one guest room, a seating area, and the kitchen. When coming outside there is a garden that looks well tended. A chair with stone table under a large cherry blossom tree. The picture is very peaceful and beautiful.
The rest of the place has open green grass and a beautiful pathway of trimmed bushes. It's very beautiful outside. Being here made him look on in appreciation. The air seems weird though.
It is fresh but there is a certain stench that feels oddly familiar to him. He went back inside after a while.
The day is spent like this, in the afternoon the man with the tray came again with the same creepy stare like he wants to stab him in the face. Kai took his pills while the servant is still stranding outside the main door.
"Second young master what is the meaning of this?" The man asked with clenched teeth. But Kai just shut the door in his face.
Kai opened the fridge and ate a prepared serving of a chicken dish. He then went to rest when the book from earlier started glowing. Kai thinks he must have forgotten that books can also do this.
To ensure the book doesn't disturb his rest, he opened his closet and threw it inside. Losing the closet door he slept soundly on his very comfortable king size bed.
