The Deal

''Well.. for starters, could you tell me where is this and what's going on ?'' Michael could only give up and ask.

Aurora seemed to be pleased as her gaze reverted from disdain to cold indifference.

The pressure was eased.

--This, mortal, is my domain. -- Aurora stated, patiently.

--But what you truly need to know is...-- She paused for a second before making the next statement.

--The world as you knew is no more.--

Michael couldn't help but frown at this affirmation.

--What happened before you passed out ?-- The beauty asked Michael with a serious face.

Michael could only shake his head at this question as he wore a complicated expression.

Aurora then sighed

--Human, what if i told you God and the Devil in fact exist?

--What if i told you that little presumptuous ''sacred book'' of yours has a little bit of truth in it ?

When she emphasized the term 'sacred book', it almost came out as a snort.

--What if i told you God and the Devil have made a deal... ?

Michael showed her a incredulous face that said ''Hah? Are you stupid?''

The beauty ignored him and continued.

--A soul agreement that stated ''under no circumstances shall we interfere with the Mortal Realm, we shall only watch.''

Michael was very surprised on the inside but said nothing, allowing Aurora to proceed with the story.

--This agreement was made right after the first great war, when Lucifer fell and God feared for you, his ''greatest creation''.-- The last part came out as if disdaining

--The agreement was then signed by the three parties: God as the Light Faction representative, Lucifer as the Dark Faction representative and Adam, the first human, as humanity's

Aurora's gaze penetrated Michael's body as if seeing through his whole existence.

She then spoke

--You might not be aware but you have a very powerful soul

--One month ago, Lucifer used a divine artifact to harvest your soul's energy and then found a way to breach the Soul Contract, shattering and destroying it.

--That's why you felt so fatigued once you woke up.

--Your memory loss must be a side effect... She mumbled this last part as if putting the pieces together in her head.

She then said with confused eyes.

--I just can't understand how..

--The stated deal was a 3 way lock.

--Even if he managed to steal your soul's energy he would need your consent in order to breach the contract... you would have to be willing.

--Only if 2 of the 3 parties consented, the soul agreement could be undone...-- A light flashed in her eyes and she stared suspiciously, checking for any suspicious expressions.

However Michael only shook his head once again at this statement. He had lost his memories, how could he know a single sentence coming from his mouth had put the world to harm?

*sigh*

--What is done, is done. She said as if trying to convince herself.

--Let's hurry things up... She said impatiently.

The beauty didn't try to hide how much she disliked Michael's company.

--The fact is.. you have been asleep for a month now.

'1 month ?! i have been asleep for a whole month ?! better fucking call it a coma.'' He thought, furrowing his brows.

He felt the urge to scold out loud

But of couse he wouldn't say a thing, it took no sherlock holmes to know this lady only needed a reason and she would kill him without second thoughts.

His left eye twitched a little but that was it.

Aurora then proceeded

--A month ago, Lucifer and his subordinates tried to cross to Earth.

--God was extremely enraged and then used his divine powers to imprison Lucifer and his most powerful subordinates on a limbo between the Void and the Human Realm.

--However at a great cost... For once, since they started talking, her eyes displayed a hint of sadness..

--The weaker ones still managed to transverse and invade earth.

--He then created a system in order to give the humans a chance to fight back, a chance rise in the food chain.

--The Ascension system.

'Ascension system...' Michael repeated on his mind.

--You need to get stronger. God can only delay lucifer and his subordinates for so long.

--Another great war is soon to come and you humans must stand for yourselves.

--Otherwise you will be just like ants trying to stand up to giants. No matter how many of you, it would only take a single slap from a high-demon in order to turn you all into dust.

She said this smilling and Michael wondered if she was picturing it in her head.

'Tsc', he clicked his tongue mentally.

Nevertheless he still got dizzy as he tried to digest everything he heard until now.

He just couldn't believe it, all of this sounded too unreal.

''Why didn't god himself exterminated them all ?'', Michael finally couldn't stand it and blurted

''Isn't him the All-Mighty ?''

''The allfather...''

''The Macgyver of the fuckin universe?''

Aurora surprinsingly chose to ignore the sarcastic remarks and shook her head.

--Entities beyond a certain level of power can't interfere on the mortal plane, there are laws beyond your comprehension that prevents them from doing so.

--Otherwise, let alone Lucifer, stronger entities on the same level as 'God' himself would have invaded Earth a long time ago.

--Unfortunately, those laws can't bind lower existances.

Her voice showing a tinge of regret, she explained

--Angels can interfere on a certain scale, however it's not very advised.

--We won't be able to protect you during the incoming great war. You need to stand up for yourselves.

'Huh, in other words 'fuck you'' and every man for himself eh?' Michael thought

''System, you say ? what is it ?''

--The Ascension System is something god created in order to make humans transcend your current existances.

--It's quite simple, Kill and get stronger

When she said that last sentence, Aurora licked her lips as if appreciating the meaning behind those words.

--Also, In order prepare the terrain for the upcoming calamity, God enhanced Earth

--As a result, Earth has increased at least 5 times in size and so did the gravity. However, Alma[1] now permeates the air, strengthening your bodies to the point where you will be able to sustain it.

--The humans inhabiting the fourth planet have been recalled to earth as well, god doesn't smile upon deserters to the cause...

Michael couldn't help but display a devilish grim once he heard that.

'Finally good news', he thought.

'You fuckin old geezers, i'll deal with you sooner or later.'

'Wait for me, i'll surely kill you with my own hands so i can watch light leaving your eyes'

At this point Michael's smile was so wide it resembled cheshire's. (AN: it's the cat from ''Alice in wonderland'')

The angel frowned for a bit but proceeded with the explanation.

--Say ''status''.

''Status''. Michael obediently repeated then a screen appeared in front of his eyes.

He tried touching it but then noticed it wasn't exactly in front of his eyes, it was in his head.

Aurora smiled but her expression swiftly shifted into a cold one once again.

Michael released a sigh, looked into those gorgeous golden eyes and said: ''Thank you''.

'Well, well, well... she is capable of smiling afterall.' Michael smiled wryly

Aurora waved her right hand, the void cracked and a portal appeared beside Michael.

--This is the last thing i can do for you, this will take you somewhere 'things' are still manageable.

She then warned with a serious face

--Be advised, Earth is now very chaotic and monsters that are able to kill the current you are as numerous as the stars in the sky.

--Once you arrive, find a quiet place and wait for the baptism to end. -- She complemented.

Michael then took a look at [Greed's belt].

[Greed]: +3 all stats, grants user the ability store items into a interspatial rift.

Upgradeable: requires Greed's heart and 1 Star Dust.

He then equipped the belt and then sliced the air with his hand, the space cracked and a dark rift appeared.

He stored all of the items acquired in it and walked in the direction of the portal.

Just when he was about to leave, he suddenly froze, turned around and asked Aurora. ''Wait, what is baptism ?''

She only gave him a delivish smile and with a wave of her right hand, he was sent flying into the portal.

AN: Yep, i just did it. A plot within a plot. Inception much ? Maybe i should try a plot within a plot within a plot.

So, i haven't editted this yet, it's pretty much raw but i see no obvious holes in it.. at least yet.. if you find any, just flame me in the comments and i'll fix it.

I really plan on taking this project seriously so... yea, i plan get better and better at writting and you guys can support me if you find my work pleasant to the eyes.
