2 Chapter 2: Introduction of the system
The screen showed various functions and information, and the MC was amazed by the vast array of options available.
The system introduced its ability to create a domain in a small area. The condition for creating a domain was to eliminate everything in the area.
from creating structures and managing resources to gaining power through the system. The system also provided him with the ability to create a domain, which he was determined to do.
'The thing is, I don't know how to create such 'domains' and its restrictions.' Kiyo silently thought to himself as the system prompts in front of him intrigued him.
"Ding! Detecting the Host's confusion…" A notification resounded from the mechanical screen in front of him.
[Dear Host, the following are the requirements to create a domain and how to use the subordination sub-ability:
To create a domain, the Host must fulfilled the following requirements:
1. 10 square meters of space void of living beings.
The area must be owned/conquered by the Host.
Subordination sub-ability:
The people accepted into the host's domain will automatically become his subordinate until the host abandon them (no changes will appear on the surbordinates.) However, each time the subordinates gain strength and eliminate a beast or zombies, the host will gain 'Vilume'
The host could also use 'Vilume' to purchase weapons, skills, empower himself and subordinates, and also build infrastructure inside the domain]
He spent minutes studying the system, learning its mechanics and functions. He also read through the rules and regulations that the system provided. After much research and study, he finally had a plan. He had decided to create a safe haven for himself by creating a domain.
'Are there other ways to earn this 'Vilume' without the help of my subordinates? Will the "subordinates" in question become something like a slave sort of thing that obeys each of my words?' he silently asked the system in front of him.
[Dear Host, the other way of earning Vilume is to accomplish the tasks given by The System or through killing the mutated beasts and zombies.
The subordinates will not feel or notice any changes as it is only known to host, yet they provide Vilume for the host without knowing, any possibility of rebellion is the Host's responsibility and betrayal is not impossible

Kiyo's face immediately darkened as he heard the word 'betrayal', the mocking laughter of his three associates after plotting his death entered his mind. Rage and fury filled him as well as confusion. 'Why? For what fucking reason did they have to do that?' Kiyo questioned for he knew there was no way to find answers to his confusion.
He was determined to find the reason for their betrayal and make them pay. However, there was no time for that now. He had to prepare for the apocalypse, and he knew that he had to be prepared to face it.
He started researching the apocalypse and studying the system in depth to gain as much knowledge as he could. He was determined to create a safe haven for himself and protect himself from the beasts that would undoubtedly roam the streets.
Kiyo suddenly exclaimed with excitement. 'System, can I create a domain before the apocalypse descends?' he asked in the depths of his consciousness wherein the mysterious System lies.
[Ding! The host is free to create a domain anytime as long as the requirements are fulfilled.
Currently, the cost could only create a domain limited to an area of 100 square meters. ]
He was delighted by the answers provided by the system.
A mischievous smile appeared on Kiyo's face. 'It seems like the Gods still favors me in the end' he said out loud inside his mind, whilst planning on how to utilize his current resources to prepare for the impending doom tomorrow.
He quickly headed out, purchasing a small ready-to-move-in villa located in the center of this 3rd-grade city he resides in; it is also reinforced as it is meant to be a house of politicians and people at the top. Costing him a total of $5 million. After paying the deposit of $1 million and signing an installment contract, he left the agency as he quickly headed towards his newly bought home.
The excitement didn't last long as he recalled how his mother turned into a monster right in front of him when the apocalypse descended. Grief and anger filled him; knowing that he couldn't do anything about it. The virus was airborne and his mother just didn't have the resistance towards it.
Kiyo steeled his heart and continued his preparation for the impending chaos.
Browsing his computer in his newly-bought home, Kiyo ordered tons of canned foods, as well as cold weapons and other utilities.

The day of the Apocalypse has descended. Chaos and turmoil erupted all over. People were running around in a panic, trying to escape the imminent danger. The streets were filled with bodies and destruction, and the air was thick with smoke and fumes.
The pungent smell of blood filled the air. Corpses were littered everywhere, some were killed by the zombies, whilst some were murdered by their own kin, as the world order was thrown into naught. It was a terrifying sight and a reminder of the power of the apocalypse.
Kiyo stands calmly at the doorstep of his newly-bought home. Alongside him was his cousin, Yuno.
Yuno was left in the turmoil of his emotions. Disbelief, confusion, and fear filled him as the sound of his panicked heartbeat reverbated, it was the only thing his perception could hear as he was overcome with shock.
After being calmed down by the presence of his cousin, Kiyo. He immediately looked at him differently.
A feeling of gratefulness and a hint of reverence appeared in his gaze. He was truly thankful that his cousin called him to this mini fortress of his; honestly, being asked to move those heavy things around made him a bit irritated.
A hint of realization struck him. It was as if his cousin knew this whole ordeal would happen; which caused him to buy so many necessities enough for a family to live for years, as well as building this mini fortress. The calmness Kiyo showcased also proved his thoughts to be somehow true.

Meanwhile, behind all this chaos all over the city, Kiyo stares blankly at the empty air in front of this. At least that was how it looked to Yuno.
Kiyo was delighted by the notification that he needed the most at this moment.
[Ding! The Apocalypse has Descended. Issuing 1x Newbie gift pack to the Host.

The host has gained various basic stats to improve his survival ability, as well as a slight improvement on the domain]
As if an earthquake struck amidst all the chaos, the surroundings of the villa shook for a while before stopping.
Kiyo noticed that the walls separating the villa from the outside world grew taller and appeared wider than before, there was also this metallic lust that appeared on its surface.
All of these alarmed Yuno, everything felt so unreal to him but he chose not to let his curiosity win and avoid delving deeper into this mysterious power that his best friend as well as cousin, Kiyo, possess.

After checking out all the changes, Kiyo also felt a surge of energy within him. He felt like he could take a bull head on with his raw strength!
A status window appeared before him, showing his current strength.

A heavy feeling weighed down his heart. Looking at his status window once again, as confused as he is, the system didn't provide any explanation this time.
'W-what does it mean… Why is there something else in my body aside from Human genetics that the system scanned…' he thought to himself as curiosity and fear of the unknown filled him.
