58 Sent to the Zombies

"They're really carrying food! What's wrong with these zombies? Are some of them still conscious? Why are they helping us? Maybe they're trying their best to not lose their humanity!"

Those who were low in spirits suddenly felt elated.

The news that there was food spread like wildfire and people began to gather.

They all stood behind the soldiers and chattered excitedly.

Their fears completely disappeared.

One person eagerly grabbed the arm of a soldier from behind. 

The soldier, who was just shooting zombies earlier, jolted. He accidentally pressed on the trigger of his gun.

A bullet was shot and a shrill scream came from the crowd.

The noisy crowd instantly became silent. Only a female voice writhing in pain could be heard. The shot had hit a woman on her stomach and blood was gushing out. 

The smell of blood and the woman's high-pitched voice attracted a horde of zombies and they began rushing over.
