"How would it be possible for us to make it out alive…" Hearing what Sandra said next to her, Eileen murmured.

"..." Sandra didn't know what to say at this moment.

Suddenly, a voice pierced through the window of the dormitory and entered her ears.

Vroom!

She heard the loud noise of an engine starting, but at the same time it sounded like the roar of a wild beast, full of power. The loud noise of the engine was followed by a collective roar from a horde of zombies.

'What's with the loud noises? Doesn't the driver know that the noise will attract the zombies?'

Sandra recognized that it was the sound of the vehicle igniting, and she thought to herself. She mourned for the person who had ignited the vehicle.

From the endless roars, you could tell that countless zombies would be attracted to it. It wouldn't be a surprise if the noise attracted up to hundreds of zombies.

She didn't want to look at what was about to happen down there, as she couldn't stomach such a violent scene anymore. For her to watch someone being ripped apart by zombies, it was such tragic scenes that had given Sandra and Eileen nightmares for countless days, as they were unable to rid their mind of this horrific scene.

Just when Sandra thought that the person was about to die, she noticed the roars of zombies sounded different. There was a louder noise that came about, which was the sound of heavy objects colliding into each other. This unusual reaction from the zombies made her expression freeze, and an absurd guess came to mind.

This guess gave her new hope and encouraged her to use her remaining strength to get out of bed. With great difficulty, she supported herself against the wall beside her and walked toward the balcony to have a look outside.

In the next second, Sandra, who had witnessed everything that had happened in the outside world, opened her lips, which had already dried and cracked due to the lack of water. Sandra's mouth was wide open, causing bloody cracks to appear on her lips, yet she didn't even notice it. Her eyes, which had turned dim due to the loss of hope, were shining again. Her shock and disbelief were beyond words. She had thought that it would be a horrible sight of the driver being torn into pieces by the groups of zombies. However, in reality it was the other way around.

She saw a large number of zombies gathered in front of the convenience store that was located near the dormitory building. If someone had trypophobia, they would get goosebumps just by looking at it. The dense population of zombies that gathered around would be enough to make the bravest of people run for their lives. At the very least, it would make anyone drench themselves in cold sweat just by the sight of it.

However, Sandra saw an armored vehicle that was completely black. It was galloping across the horde of zombies. Under the sunlight, that armored vehicle was shining as if it was recently being polished. The vehicle looked solid and its shape and structure were also unique. With all the armor around the vehicle, it looked extremely sturdy.

Under the control of the driver, the armored vehicle was like a wild horse that had been given free rein to run free on the field. The impact it caused couldn't be described in a single word. No matter how many zombies blocked the armored vehicle from the front, nothing could stop it. They would be crushed under the vehicle, blood and broken bones would fly everywhere. Even if the zombies could escape getting crushed, they would be sent flying by the impact of the huge force, along with the zombies that came after them.

This domineering armored vehicle seemed to have transformed into a grim reaper that was mercilessly waving its scythe and reaped the lives of zombies along the way. At the same time it was like a ferocious and violent beast, it devoured the zombies that dared to confront it. This scene was so terrifying and came as a total shock to Sandra.

The zombies were actually something that an average person couldn't deal with or defeat. If someone provoked the zombies, unfortunately what lay ahead was only death. Countless people had died from the zombie outbreak. It was a nightmare-like existence that shrouded her heart, and she couldn't shake it off at all. The zombies were also the reason why she and Eileen were facing death in hiding.

However, the ferocious and terrifying zombies were so weak in front of the armored vehicle and the driver. Killing them was like taking candy from a child, and that was not an exaggeration. The scene allowed no room for dispute, as Sandra saw it with her own eyes.

After about ten minutes, all the zombies near the convenience store were smashed into pieces by the armored vehicle. None of the zombies were left intact. The ground was filled with meat paste, making it seem like hell on Earth. If they were there, they would have probably vomited immediately. In fact, Sandra, who had witnessed everything, felt a little uncomfortable even though she had already seen many disgusting and horrifying scenes during the past couple of days. However, the discomfort only took a few seconds to disappear, and was replaced by joy.

Throughout the time they were trapped in the dormitory, they didn't see a single living person. If the people were alive before, they would all have become zombies by now. The owner of this armored vehicle was undoubtedly a living human being, as zombies would not have the kind of intelligence to operate a vehicle. This reignited the last glimmer of hope in her heart. However, her heart was also troubled by worry.

It was unknown whether the violent man driving the armored vehicle would save them or would he harm them. Even though she was in a difficult situation, Sandra still retained a part of her rationality. However, her worries were soon dispelled.

Sandra saw the armored vehicle stopped right in front of the cafe, and soon, three people appeared. One of them looked familiar and she was the counselor, Marina. She was a kind lecturer and she had a good reputation among students in other universities as well. Judging from their behavior, they seemed to be traveling in a group. If that was the case, there was a good chance for Sandra and Eileen to be rescued if they called for help.

After she put in some thoughts, Sandra did not waste any more time, as the armored vehicle could drive away at any time. She quickly opened the window and waved her arms at the armored vehicle to gain their attention. She could have shouted to attract them, but that would also attract zombies that still wandered in the corridors. If that happened, not only would they not be rescued, they would definitely meet their creator after dying in the hands of the zombies.

Even though this was a miraculous moment, she couldn't afford to lose her cool and do something stupid. As most of the zombies were being wiped out outside the dormitory building, Sandra believed that it was only rational for her to open the windows and wave her hands to signal for help. Hence, she just waved her arms with all her might, hoping that Crowe and the others would notice her presence, and come to rescue Eileen and herself.
