69 Hannibal's Attempt to Escape

Hannibal seemed to be planning to take advantage of the situation and escape, which infuriated Dylan.

"Damn it!" Dylan thought.

Hannibal was trying to escape, and Dylan wasn't having it.

He quickly activated his time-slowing ability.

Hannibal's movements slowed down, resembling that of a turtle.

Without hesitation, Dylan ran over and stood in front of Hannibal, waiting for him.

As Hannibal noticed Dylan, his expression shifted from smugness to astonishment.

Not wasting any time, Dylan grabbed Hannibal by the collar and stopped the time-slowing ability.

Due to the inertia of his body, Hannibal continued to move forward, but Dylan effortlessly pulled him back.

Dylan's enhanced strength, honed over a millennium, made grabbing Hannibal feel like catching a chick.

Anyone else would have been tossed away.

Hannibal's face was now filled with fear.

"B-bro, are you even human?" he stammered.

He couldn't believe how Dylan had managed to catch up to him so quickly.

Angrily, Dylan asked, "Why were you running?"

"Bro, I was just scared of you guys. I just wanted to keep my distance. I didn't mean any harm," Hannibal quickly explained, his hands gesturing nervously.

Dylan dragged him back to the briefing room and threw him to the ground.

"If you dare to run again, I'll use this on you!" Dylan warned, waving a gun in front of Hannibal.

Hannibal froze at the sight of the gun. "Bro, I swear I won't run again! I'll be a good boy!"

Seeing that Hannibal was being honest, Dylan spoke up, "I'll ask you one last question."

"Bro, go ahead!" Hannibal said eagerly.

"You mentioned that the guys in the pickup truck wanted you to join them. Did they tell you who they are or where they're from?"

Dylan had stopped Hannibal from escaping just to ask this question.

Hannibal sat up straight and tried to recall.

"Oh, yes, yes, I remember now. They said they were from some nightclub called... uh... Royal Club."

As soon as Hannibal mentioned "Royal Club," Dylan froze.

It sounded familiar. He felt like he had been there before, but the memory was hazy due to the passage of time.

"Royal Club? I know it!" Dylan exclaimed.Dylan's eyes lit up as he looked at Georgia.

"Yeah, is there any entertainment spot in all of Bluewater Bay that Georgia doesn't know about?"

Alberta also looked anxiously at Georgia, knowing that her brother Clarence was likely there.

"Where is it?"

"In the city center, a bit of a distance from here!"

Upon hearing Georgia's response, Alberta became excited.

"Can we go there now?"

Alberta looked at Dylan, eager for a response.

Dylan didn't immediately reply to Alberta. He deliberated carefully for a moment before making a decision.

"Alberta, now that we know where your brother might be, it's important to note that the situation there is unclear.

How about this: since we're already at your college today, let's clear out the zombies on campus first, gather some crystals to strengthen ourselves.

Then, tonight, we'll go back and make a solid plan to go there tomorrow.

 It's safer that way."

After Dylan spoke, Georgia nodded in agreement and added, "Alberta, Dylan's right.

The Royal No.1 in Bluewater Bay is no joke.

The headquarters alone has thousands of staff members, and they have quite a notorious reputation.

We've tried raiding it several times but faced obstacles from their powerful connections.

They can dispatch five cars at once to gather information.

You can imagine how strong their influence is.

We need to discuss and plan carefully before taking any action."

Hearing Georgia's words, Alberta couldn't help but become more cautious.

With Georgia's understanding of Bluewater Bay, the situation was likely as described.

Although she was eager to see her brother, rushing in without assessing the situation would be unwise and could endanger everyone.

Dylan was right; the priority was to strengthen themselves first.

That way, they could handle any unexpected situations with ease.

"Okay! I'll follow your lead! As long as I know my brother is alive, I'll feel relieved! At least for now, he's safe."

Dylan felt relieved seeing Alberta's understanding.

"Good! Since we're here, let's go clear out the zombies. Can't make this trip for nothing!"

"Alright, let's go!"

With Dylan's signal, the girls immediately sprang into action.

"Hey, hey, bro, can you take me with you? I want to go in too. I want to see how Miranda is doing now!"

Hannibal stood up hastily as Dylan and the others were about to leave.

Dylan glanced at him and asked, "Besides being fast, do you have any other skills?"

Hannibal pondered for a moment.

"Um, it seems like being fast is my only skill! But don't worry, big bro, I won't cause you any trouble.""If things go south, I'll just run. I won't cause you any trouble!

" Dylan knew that Hannibal must have awakened the ability of speed, which, aside from being fast, didn't offer any other advantages.

However, with higher levels, his speed would increase, making ambushes possible.

"Suit yourself!" Dylan didn't bother with him anymore.

If he wanted to follow, he could, but Dylan wouldn't take responsibility for him.

Dylan and the others got into the car and continued towards the female dormitory area

. Meanwhile, Hannibal picked up a machete left behind by someone in the pickup truck and accelerated to catch up.

The female dormitory consisted of about a dozen rows of six-story buildings, making it tedious to clear them one by one.

Dylan used the same method as before, having Jodie play the flute to lure the zombies over, then taking the opportunity to kill them.

Everyone was accustomed to working together, and Dylan also let Kelly and the two nurses practice their skills.

After killing all the zombies that could be lured out of the female dormitory, three hours had passed.

Upon counting the loot, Dylan found they had gained a lot—2000 crystals in total.

Jodie was particularly exhausted, almost out of breath from playing the flute.

However, it was still early, and Dylan didn't want to end things yet.

There were likely many zombies in the male dormitory as well, but he didn't want to make another trip.

Making noise to attract zombies was too risky, compared to Jodie's flute ability.

One was a direct rush to attack, while the other was standing there stupidly, allowing them to be killed.

Could they be compared?

Hannibal, who had been following Dylan and the others closely, was amazed to see them harvesting zombies like cutting vegetables, one after another.

He was utterly shocked.

 Who were these people?

They were so formidable! Thankfully, he had been honest and hadn't offended them.

Otherwise, he wouldn't even know how he died.

Now that Dylan and the others had stopped, Hannibal took the opportunity to approach them.

"Big bro! You guys are amazing, I really admire you!" Hannibal said with a shy smile.

Dylan glanced at him and ignored him.

Hannibal continued with a grin, "Big bro, did you encounter any difficulties? Why did you stop?"

"My friend is tired and can't attract any more zombies."

Dylan pointed to Jodie, who was resting nearby.

Hannibal looked at Jodie with admiration.

He had just witnessed her abilities firsthand.

It was because of her that Dylan and the others could be so efficient.

Without her, they wouldn't have been able to attract so many zombies.

Wait? Couldn't attract zombies? Hannibal's eyes lit up with an idea.
