"I guess we'll have to inconvenience you a bit, Helen!"

Howard gently touched Helen's hair, his tone carrying a hint of apology.

"Gulp!"

Helen stared at Howard's hand, swallowing hard repeatedly.

It seemed to her that whether she was put in a backpack or a suitcase didn't matter.

What was important was... when Howard would let her eat.

She was really too hungry!

"See you on the bus in a bit!"

Miranda said softly to Helen, then zipped up the travel bag.

Ding! They reached the first floor!

Howard, accompanied by Miranda and Quinn, hurried back along the route they came, sprinting out the back door.

While the guard soldiers were distracted, they quickly made their way back to the coach bus.

Just as they settled in the bus, they saw Raven and a group of soldiers, each carrying two boxes of ammunition and heavily loaded with supplies, rushing out of the mall.
