48 The Second Phase is About to Begin

Day 25 of the Apocalypse: As dawn breaks and the first rays of sunlight touch the earth, the sky-darkening flock of crows vanishes without a trace, as if they had never appeared.

After more than half a month, those who are still alive finally emerge slowly from the sunless shelters, embracing the long-lost sunlight.

With the absence of the noisy cawing of crows, peace and clarity return to the world, yet the silence is eerily terrifying.

After enduring the nightly assaults of seas of bats and crows, very few living beings remain.

Looking around, aside from zombies and a few mutated animals, no other living creatures can be found, not even a single fly or mosquito.

Skyscrapers and pavilions, having suffered the ravages of crows and bats, are now in ruins, with collapsed buildings and rotting structures, and almost all utility poles, signal towers, and forests have fallen, leaving none standing.
