Complacency
The next day marked the sixth day after the apocalypse, and the number of bloodthirsty crows had reached an incredibly terrifying level. Looking up, one could see a dense mass of crows, with each flock numbering in the thousands.
The entire city of Su was enveloped in crows, large and small. The day before, ordinary people could still venture out in search of supplies amidst the crows, but today, that was no longer possible. Anyone daring to show themselves would be swarmed and devoured by the crows, their bones and marrow consumed.
Even in the suburbs, where the crows were relatively fewer, stepping outside was extremely dangerous, with the slightest carelessness leading to death on the spot.
