45 Trying Out the Touch? Such Good Fortune? Let Me Give It a Try

After dealing with two attacking zombies, Ray looked around.

He was in a hotel's storage room for miscellaneous items, and the two zombies he had killed were the room's cleaners.

It seemed that at the outbreak of the apocalypse, they had hidden in this storage room, but it looked like one of them had been bitten.

Ray glanced at the door again, ensuring it was intact and closed, then withdrew his gaze, "Jarvis, locate the zombies on this floor for me, please."

"Of course, sir!"

Jarvis responded, pausing for less than a second, "Sir, there are twenty-one zombies on this floor."

"There's one five meters to the left, two twelve meters away, two twenty meters away."

"One ten meters to the right, four seventeen meters away, three twenty-five meters away..."

Since Ray was backed by a window, and the back was the outside of the hotel, it wasn't included in the count.

After hearing Jarvis's report, Ray had a plan in mind, "The door to the storage room is on the left, which means there's one wandering nearby outside the door."

However, he had no immediate plan to deal with it, especially since Liu Yuqing and Zhao Zhizhou were still waiting on the roof of the car.

He then turned to look out the window, planning to pull up Liu Yuqing first.

But as he leaned out and his gaze fell on Liu Yuqing, a vast landscape suddenly filled his view.

Earlier, while raiding the police station, Liu Yuqing and Zhao Zhizhou had gotten a lot of blood on them, so they had changed clothes along the way.

Liu Yuqing was in a pink low-neck T-shirt and short denim shorts, while Zhao Zhizhou, having no clothes to change into, wore Liu Yuqing's.

And since Liu Yuqing preferred loose clothing, she had changed into a loose black T-shirt and tight shorts.

From his high vantage point, the figures of the two women were completely visible to him, leaving nothing to the imagination.

"Have you had your fill of looking?"

Liu Yuqing, who was about to reach out her hand, noticed Ray's gaze fixed on her and instantly realized something, her face turning red.

Caught in the act, Ray wasn't embarrassed, instead, he grinned, "Well hidden, slim but quite substantial."

Even so, his actions didn't stop.

"It's not that I've hidden it well, it's that you didn't look closely yesterday," Liu Yuqing retorted without backing down, but after saying this, her face was red all the way to her neck.

That statement was quite revealing!

Zhao Zhizhou, who was covering them with a nail gun, heard their conversation and also realized something, her face turning red as well.

After pulling Liu Yuqing up, Ray grinned at Zhao Zhizhou, "Your turn."

"Okay!"

Zhao Zhizhou was well aware that her assets had probably been thoroughly appraised by him already.

She then put away the nail gun and grabbed Ray's hand, being pulled up by him.

After pulling Zhao Zhizhou up, Ray commented with lingering interest, "D-cup, not bad, quite a match for Yuqing!"

Unlike Liu Yuqing, Zhao Zhizhou was bolder. Hearing his comment, she couldn't help but glare at him, "And the feel isn't bad either, want to give it a try?"

But as soon as the words left her mouth, she was stunned. Did she really just say that?

What surprised her even more was that, normally, she would feel extreme aversion towards her suitors, but now, she didn't feel any repulsion towards Ray's teasing.

"Such good fortune? Let me give it a try."

Ray laughed, rolling up his sleeves as if he was really going to try.

"Get lost!"

Zhao Zhizhou gave him a look, her face slightly red as she turned away, avoiding his hand, and started observing the surroundings out of habit.

Liu Yuqing watched their conversation with amusement, initially thinking Ray was finally going to be put in his place, but he still came out on top. She couldn't help but feel a bit of sympathy for Zhao Zhizhou and gave Ray a look as well, then followed Zhao Zhizhou's lead in surveying their surroundings.

Ray didn't mind, "Stop looking around; this is just a storage room. Jarvis has already scanned it; there are twenty-one zombies distributed around this floor, with the closest one at the door."

Jarvis, as Ray had introduced to them earlier in the car, was said to be a super artificial intelligence program he developed inspired by the Jarvis from that movie.

To this, the women were just momentarily surprised but didn't doubt it.

"Got it."

The two women nodded and shifted their gaze away.

Before moving out, Ray took out two Bluetooth earpieces from his pocket and handed them over, "Wear these. Jarvis will alert you through the Bluetooth earpiece if there's any situation."

"Okay."

The women agreed, each taking an earpiece and putting it on.

"Jarvis, hide the armored vehicle," Ray instructed through the Bluetooth earpiece.

"Right away, sir," Jarvis responded.

Immediately, the sound of the armored vehicle's engine roaring could be heard from outside, then gradually faded away.

"Let's move!"

Ray looked at Liu Yuqing and Zhao Zhizhou, who were ready, drew his military dagger, and stood at the storage room's door, then went to the door and pulled it open.

"Heh heh...heh heh..."

The zombie at the door, hearing the noise, turned around, extending its somewhat rotten hands, ready to pounce.

Ray, holding the nail gun he had taken back from Zhao Zhizhou in one hand and a kukri in the other, charged out of the storage room, leading the way.

With a swift motion of the kukri, he easily killed it.

Liu Yuqing and Zhao Zhizhou followed closely behind him.

Then, moving in a triangular formation, they stepped lightly, approaching the nearest zombie to them.

The second floor was a shopping center designed to satisfy the clothing, daily necessities, and other essential needs of the guests.

Zhao Zhizhou, realizing this, was naturally the happiest, as she was in dire need of suitable clothes.

"Seven meters ahead, there are two," Jarvis's voice came through the Bluetooth earpiece.

Ray and his companions simultaneously looked over, spotting a young male and female zombie dressed in hotel service attire, wandering behind rows of clothing racks.

"Zhizhou left, I'll take the right, Yuqing draw their attention," Ray signaled.

Then, he and Zhao Zhizhou crouched down, splitting to approach the zombies from both sides. When they were in position, Yuqing, who had been standing still, suddenly stood up, attracting the zombies' attention.

But before the zombies could react, Ray and Zhao Zhizhou burst out from either side, easily taking them down.

After that, with clear roles and under Jarvis's guidance, it took them less than five minutes to clear out the zombies on that floor.

Finally, only four zombies wandering near the staircase remained. Ray simply lifted the nail gun, pulling the trigger repeatedly, firing nails that precisely hit their heads, blowing them all up.
