1 The beginning and the end

Aah so hot!!

It's the summer of 2024 and here I am living the life of a loser, going out to get some cold drink and chips, just to laze around like how most of this summer's gone by.

I have no friends except 1 or 2 who I barely converse with, I have no social life either all I do is laze around reading webtoons, anime or manga and I also play games.

I just hope one day I can find something interesting to do, summer's almost gone by and I haven't found 1 interesting thing that I could invest my time in except games and anime and school's about to start tomorrow.

I may be lazy but I ain't irresponsible, so I did my homework and thats precisely why I have nothing better to do except laze around and play games.

The heat should have let down by now but it hasn't let down one bit and it just keeps getting hotter and hotter. I wonder if we'll have to resort to destroying the sun someday lol.

Anyway right now I'm back home now and while I was going back to my room my mom called me

"Hey you lazy bum, do you have no friends? Why don't you go hang out with them instead of sleeping in the house everyday, you should atleast have 1-2 friends right"

"Mom, leave him he has absolutely no friends, none hahaha"

"Shut up sis, I didn't know you were stalking me and you have your information gathering is pathetic I have 2 friends, and while we are talking about friends want me to tell mom about-- aww"

"Stalking you? Don't make me laugh broo, I've been trying my hardest to make sure they don't doubt you are my brother and you speak one word about that shit and I'll make sure I escort you to hell myself."

"Both of you shut up. Nilou I don't know what you are doing in school but make sure not to do something wrong and Saturn it's pretty pathetic for you that you aren't able to socialize at your age"

"Aah, I don't care what you people speak of me. Please, don't disturb me I'm going back to my room."

What a buncha rude bunch, can I even call them my family. How can they be so blunt about me not having any friends and how is it any of their business?

Human interaction is what I loathe the most.

Haa, it's annoying to just think about how humans have such different thinking from each other, not 1 human is similar. It's nothing but exhausting to converse with them.

I'm alone because I chose to be alone, it does make me feel like a loser but at the end of the day, I'm the most peaceful when I'm by myself.

Haa...

And than I slept for the day.

Someone was banging the door hard and I wome up completely frightened.

"Heyy!! Heyy! Heyy!! Gett upp get upp, Saturn"

"Get up broo, we need to get out of here, get upp now"

What the hell, what happened. Why are they knocking the door so hard.

"*Yawn* what is it, why did you wake me up? What time is i---- uwaaaa"

They pulled my arm and ran towards the door while I followed them towards the door I kept asking them what's wrong but nobody answered.

But, soon enough I saw through the window and I was flabbergasted the moment I saw what was outside.

There was a big portal that opened in the sky it covered the entire sky, and there were meteorites falling from the sky there was no moon nor sun and the whole place was pitch dark and the only reason there was any light was because of the street lights and the asteroids falling.

After seeing such an atrocious scenery I pulled them backwords before they could open the door and shouted,

"Damn it!! Are you people insane why are you getting close to the disaster, right now the safest place around is this house a d even if you try to run away you won't make it out of that insanity"

It was insane, the whole area was covered with monsters and there were dragons in the sky. I felt like all these mosnters were too big and if we stayed in the house they won't bother it.

Because not one house was destroyed the only ones being targeted were the humans outside the houses.

The setting of this apocalypse felt too familiar somehow, I am not sure why. I feel like I've seen this scenery before

"Hya hya! Well done all the people who stayed at their houses, that was good thinking. Introductions are In order and I am the Demon lord who has infiltrated this world and I would like to chose those who are worthy to stay on this planet which will be the world of demons from now on, so I have a set of games set out for you and if you pass these games and stay alive until the end, you shall live"

That's what the voice said

"And also the total number of games will be around 100 we'll have fun byeeeeee".

No way, I know this setting.this was too familiar for me since it traumatized me the most out of all the things I experienced.

This! This is the setting of apocal(ypse), it was one of the games I played.

The setting goes like this, there are 7 demon lords in this game that most of the multi verse was destroyed by these 7 demon lords and the only planet left all around the multiverse was Earth.

Yes, earth was the only surviving planet left in all of the infinite universes and these 7 distructive level monsters are the ones who destroyed them.

A flick of their fingers is enough to destroy earth and turn it into rubble.

They have destroyed all the countless universes after making them play these insane games and every last life form was killed because nobody could even go past the 20th level.

Whichever planet didn't have any life forms was destroyed without any games.

The only ones who managed to pass the 20th stage was Earth. The main character and his companions managed to get to the 99th floor but died after clearing the 99th floor.

It was a sick plot twist, in a negative way. The thing was the 7 demon lords were the actual protagonists of the story and not the main character and their companions.

They managed to find the demon lord's weakness on the 99th floor but before they could reach the 100th floor they were cought off guard and were killed

THE PROBLEM IS, THE GAME IS NOWHERE TO BE SEEN OR HEARD OF.

5 MONTHS AGO

One day as usual I was lazing around in my house and than I heard the door bell ring. And when I opened it, there was a package on the ground.

At first I thought It might have been a bomb and causiously opened it but turns out it was a game called "Apocal(ypse)".

I was very traumatized after I played it. Mostly because I was certain they would kill the 7 demon lords because they did find their weakness but were killed by the demon lords even before they could use it.

PRESENT DAY

That's how it ended, yes. That's precisely how it ended. I searched for a sequel with a part 2 on it but there was no mention of the game itself anywhere.

I thought it was probably a sample that was sent to certain people but turns out nobody knows of it.

I felt helpless and I wanted to report the company that made this product but there was no name on the box. Than I wondered why I even put it in the box, it could have been a virus.

It traumatized me so much, I felt really anger and helplessness surge through me and yet I couldn't do anything.

How much I hoped for them to live on after killing the demon lords. How much I wanted to protect them. I felt so helples back than, I felt so useless.

But, but now I have a chance. A chance to both protect the main characters of this acursed story and protect my mother and sister from harm.

"What do we do now, we... We will get killed if we stay inside or go outside. There's no way we can survive this now is there... now that the time has come my children remember that I'll always love you"

"I love you too mom, I never thought I'll die so young *sob* and I love you too big broo"

"Shut up the both of you as a matter of fact I do love the both of you but I also happen to know how to kill that bastard called the demon lord"
