8 Chapter 8

Shiro held Sophia's hand tightly in his as they continued their walk together on the beach that happened to be very close to the house they were staying at.

"Stop looking at me all the time," Sophia lowered her gaze as she couldn't help but take notice of the fact that he had been throwing his eyes towards her very often, instead of enjoying the view before them, his action making her grow flustered as time ticked further away.

"It's not my fault you look so beautiful in the moonlight," Shiro flashed her a broad smile, leaving his sweet comment to affect her further.

"Well, you're being extra sweet today. Is something going on?" Sophia questioned his lovely dovely behaviour jokingly with a sly smile on her face.

"Of course," He placed his hand on her waist as he nonchalantly admitted to her suspicions then softly drew her body closer to his.

"It's you that's going on and on around in my mind. When I'm with you, my whole world is running. Everything works with you near me." He skillfully spoke of his sweet and well-thought words then leaned to capture her lips tenderly while Sophia couldn't help but feel weak at the interaction and fall silent once he pulled away, out of embarrassment.

"Come on, let's go back to our room. Tomorrow I'm going to take you to a beautiful place they told me." Shiro promised her as he gently intertwines his fingers with his girlfriend's and the two went on with their walk, now towards the house that could be seen at the top of the hill.

Sophia had woke up in a good mood after the nice night and calm sleep she had passed at the embrace of her boyfriend. She had finished her morning routine and was going down the stairs to go to the kitchen for breakfast, as that was the only thing in her mind for the moment but as soon as she entered that area and saw the only person who was there, she felt her good mood flying out the window. Seeing her ex, first thing in the morning sure was not pleasant.

"Good morning Babe," Jay greeted her with a smile just before he took a bite of the slice of bread with jam he was holding in his hand.

"I'm not your baby." Sophia retorted quite angrily before she proceeded to ignore his existence and take a sit in the farthest chair.

"Once upon a time you liked to hear that endearing world rolling out of my lips, and many more pet calling words too" Jay continued his teasing but Sophia gave him no reaction and just went on eating her breakfast which Shiro had prepared for her early morning and had left it on the table wrapped nicely with her name on a sticky note before he had gone for his morning run.

Jay found himself getting slightly more and more annoyed as the time ticked away by her treatment but he tried to appear nonchalant nonetheless and pretend like he did not care. An act that he couldn't keep for long as he stood up from his seat soon enough and went to take a seat on the chair right opposite Sophia, hoping to tick her enough and gain her attention.

"Eating my love? Good morning." Shiro suddenly entered the room, getting the attention of them both as he appeared quite covered in sweat yet still did not hesitate to approach Sophia and leave a small kiss on her forehead, and proceed to take a seat next to her.

The rest of the group did not take long to join them in the kitchen, making the room to get filled with voices and usual and unusual morning conversations. The couples being sweet with each other as the rest laughed at the cheesiness mostly.

"Guys, can you stop please stop being so all over each other? There exist single people here too. How come you aren't thinking about our feelings? " Jamie ended up expressing his complaint, half-jokingly half not. since he was indeed feeling fed up with hose Joel kept feeding Dimitra as if she had no hands of her own and Shiro did not take his eyes of Sophia which led to them giggling every time they were to make eye contact. It was just too much happiness to not feel bothersome.

"Sorry," Dimitra felt a bit ashamed so she apologized with a smile while the others laughed undisturbed for they didn't plan to take his words seriously.

Sophia's smile, however, couldn't help but freeze on her lips when she felt something suddenly touching her foot under the table and was horrified to understand that it was nothing else but Jay's leg cuddling hers, most likely on purpose.

Sophia gave him a stern sharp look, trying to showcase her anger and how bothering she found his audacity but he just smiled a little and ignored her as she had been doing a few minutes ago to him.

"Bro, can you pass me the juice," Jay threw his eyes towards Shiro and spoke comfortably to him and Shiro just looked at Jamie and gave him a signal to grab the box since it made more sense for him to pass it over because he was closer to it.

"Guys, I arrived~" A voice disturbed their moment as Theo rushed happily inside with his suitcase in his hand.

"Oh look who arrived~ but hadn't you said that you would reach here by the afternoon?" Jamie raised an eyebrow at his roommate and best friend because he surely had told him over text to not await him before afternoon yet here he was.

"Yes, but Lisa offered to hand over my assignment to my teacher in my stead since she claimed to know him, and it would make things easier for me" Theo explained his lucky turn of event because he certainly considered it to his advantage because if she had not done so, he would have been left to wait for his teacher till one pm as scheduled.

"And where did you see Lisa, as far as I know she has early classes to attend" Joel spoke to him in the wonder of what this guy had to do with his best friend while Theo pulled the chair next to Jamie.

"Since we slept together, she told me before she left about it and I gave her my assignment," Theo replied nonchalantly with his mouth now stuffed with some food that he had not hesitated to dive in while everyone else had turned their heads his way and were staring at him with wide eyes.

"When you say together, how much together do you mean exactly?" Sophia dared to ask him as even though she knew Lisa well and in no way she could be considered someone to agree to sleep with someone she barely knows just for fun, there still existed a small percentage of doubt.

"E? ​​I mean together in the same house. Well, wasn't it you who told me to go and keep her company because you felt bad that you left her alone?" Theo reminded them and continued to eat comfortably.

"Yes, of course, right," Dimitra smiled, feeling relieved that they had misunderstood his words.

"I'm Joel, Dimitra 's boyfriend by the way, nice to meet you," Joel took his chance to introduce himself to the guy which he was meeting for the first time in his life.

"Who, to whom?" Theo glanced at him with wide eyes, since the information came to him a little abruptly, letting him be shocked because he had thought that Dimitra was single.

"What did you not understand dude. He is her boyfriend. Wake up!" Jamie scolded him a bit, as he lifted his hand and hit the back of his head lightly, intending to bring him back to reality and make him behave right.

Theo glanced at his friend briefly before he met Joel's gaze again and smiled awkwardly then proceeded to greet him properly and exchange a typical nice to meet you, in order to not appear rude.

They went on all together to discuss and their plans for the day, where they should go and what they should eat while one of them had forgotten to mention something really important.

Dimitra was laying down admiring the beautiful view before her while waiting for her boyfriend Joel to return from his walk with Jamie as the two had expressed their desire to go visit a shop and none other seemed willing to join them on that.

"Can I sit with you?" A voice drew her attention making her turn to see who was talking to her.

"Of course, why not." Theo felt relieved upon hearing her positive reply and with a smile he sat next to her on the white sand, looking at the gentle sea.

"I did not know you had a boy. I was a little surprised." He admitted to his previous behaviour and Dimitra smiled awkwardly for a reason that she couldn't explain well either.

From the first time Dimitra has seen him, she had a strange feeling and this fact was making her want to avoid him since her feelings for Joel were real and she did not want to risk losing him just because she so happened to come across another guy that she considered attractive.

"Em, It's logical you wouldn't know. It did not occur as a topic so I never mentioned it" Dimitra turned her gaze to the sea again, avoiding looking him in the eyes.

"You will not ask me why I was surprised," Theo reduced the distance between them slightly as he replied to her and she turned around bringing their eyes to meet unintentionally.

"Do you want me to say it in words or show you the reason?" He whispered while he dared to lower his gaze to her lips and lean his face a bit closer to hers, intended to let her know that he was interested in her no matter if she had a boyfriend or not.

"Did you find it baby?" Sophia spoke as soon as she heard the door of her bedroom open behind her and with a smile she turned around, expecting Shiro to be the one that came in since she had been waiting for him to find his phone and then together take off to sightsee around the city.

"I expected that one day you would call me that again but I did not think it would be so soon," Jay gave her a sly smile as he proceeded to walk further inside, leaving her slightly taken aback by his unexpected presence.

"What are you doing here? Are you crazy? Get out quickly!" Sophia urged him in panic and tried to push him towards the door again but he did not seem to bulge.

"Come on babe, Shiro will be late, I hid his cell phone well, he will not find it easily," Jay informed her of his doings as he turned around and engulfed her in a hug.

"Are you crazy? Get away from me !! We are not together, do you understand that?" Sophia shouted at him as she tried to take his hands away from her waist, her eyes glaring at him as sternly as she could master. Yet her clearly angered state did not stop him from leaning and capturing her lips with passion, making Sophia's eyes roll from his unexpected act.

She tried to free herself reflexively but soon his kiss started getting too sweet to want to get away from it and without even she realized it, her lips had invited him to continue.

"Apparently your lips do not drive me away like your words" He whispered against her lips as he slightly pulled away and she found herself shocked over her own actions and the fact that she had reciprocated that kiss.

She found herself weak before him, under his warm breath and strong arms and she could most likely have lost herself at that moment if it wasn't for a knock on the door that brought her back to reality.

"Sophia my love, why did you lock the door?"Shiro's voice echoed from the other side as he knocked on the door once more, wondering if the door was indeed locked or it was stuck somehow.

"Oh, God !!! Hide!! Quickly!" Sophia urged him and Jay found himself panicking a bit while at the same time he still had not realized how he got involved in such a situation and the gravity of his own actions.
