18 Chapter 18

"My ladybug, I arrived~!" Joel announced happily his entrance by the apartment's doorstep and Dimitra ran on his open arms as soon as she heard his booming cheerful voice.

"My love, finally you got here. Give me a minute and I will be ready to go." Dimitra pecked his lips briefly then hurriedly left to her apartment to change clothes and get ready for their scheduled date.

Lisa who was standing next to Joel laughed a bit at the interaction then proceeded to avoid looking around in fear of seeing a certain someone whom she would like to forget the existence of altogether at that moment.

"Lisa at last! You found the way back, huh ?!" Christin commented as soon as her eyes fell on Lisa who for some reason seemed to be hiding behind the young man, whom Christin still didn't know.

"Hello, Christin. Let me introduce you, this is Joel, Dimitra's boyfriend and this is Christin." Lisa put an act on and proceeded to make the introductions as happily as she could manage at that moment.

She watched for a bit Joel and Christin having a simple friendly conversation, pretending like she was interested in it, then once she found the opportunity to slip away she did so, grabbing brush from a box at a corner and entering a room in which Shiro was not present in, in order to give a helping hand at painting.

She looked around admiring for a moment the work Theo and Jay had done, as those were the ones currently working on that room then she took off her jacket and placed it by a chair, rolling up her sleeve and getting into working at what was Dimitra's post just some minutes ago.

After painting for a few minutes, Lisa couldn't help but wonder whose room was this going to be so she spoke her words out loud, hoping to learn who was painting their room purple as that was also her favourite colour and the reason why she had died her hair purple.

"Whose room will this be?"

"Eh ?! I think Christin's. Why are you asking?" Jay responded as he was painting with a long roll right next to her.

"Damn it. We are wasting, my royal purple for someone like her? Oh no dude, this doesn't feel right!!" Lisa uttered and her words made the two boys who were painting in the same room with her giggle a bit.

"I heard that, you idiot !!" Christin's voice followed right after her comment and now the two boys couldn't help but burst out laughing as Lisa smirked at her friend, making it obvious that she had spoken so purposely to tease her. She was in search of something that would light up her mood after all so what better than to annoy someone.

"Pst, bring the ladder here for a moment. Let me go up and leave her a note" Lisa whispered in a low voice at Theo as he had the ladder on his side and he proceeded to get it to her with a mischievous smile for he understood that he was helping in creating trouble.

As Lisa climbed the stairs, Theo tried to hold it still for her to ensure her safety but as he was doing so, his gaze fell on Dimitra's boyfriend. He looked happy and well dressed which made him compare his own self with him in his head. The thought was brief yet it made him get lost in his more thoughts regarding how he could win against him till he made eye contact with Joel by mistake and immediately turned his eyes upwards towards Lisa.

"It seems that Lisa is behaving well with him. He may have some hope with her after all. My ladybug sure wasn't lying when she said that he was interested in her though. I feel bad that I doubted her for a second. " Joel thought to himself as he now felt calmer since Dimitra had apparently told him the truth and that meant that he had misunderstood the way Theo's gaze towards her which had worried him initially.

His vision suddenly went black as Dimitra returned and happily placed her hand above his eyes and teasingly asked him who was she, an action that made them both smile widely. He took hold of her hands and placed a kiss upon them then turned around and faced her, only to wrap his arms around her waist and lean in to capture her lips, in a slow kiss that had them both smiling in the process, yet their joyful moment had caused Theo's gaze to return at them in a more tentative manner. His attention seemed to have been absorbed by their unnecessary sweet interaction forgetting that he was supposed to hold tightly the ladder and not fool around.

Dimitra and Joel soon gave their goodbyes to the others and left to go on with their date, having Theo's eyes following them like a ghost till they went out of sight.

"Hey!! Wake up !!" Lisa yelled at him as she had stepped down the ladder and was talking to him, telling him that he could take it back to the corner it was yet he didn't seem to be listening at all, making her snap her fingers before his face.

"Ah! Yes, right." That was all he replied before doing what she told him, yet his behaviour had left Lisa puzzled.

"Don't tell me that he always zones out like that?" She asked with a smile on her face, finding it a bit funny and Jay who was painting the wall in front of him monotonously, lost in his own thoughts, suddenly turned and looked at her.

"E !? Why should I tell you? Mind your own business" Jay cut her friendly attempt to tease Theo in an abrupt manner, making Lisa raise an eyebrow at him before she approached him, slightly irritated with the tone and the attitude he responded to her.

"What's wrong, my friend? Where they giving out attitude for free and you decided to buy extra?" She spoke to him with a matching tone he did to her, a smile on her lips and a challenging attitude radiating all over her facial expression with intentions to irritate Jay as much as he had just irritated her.

"We are not friends, so you can stop talking to me as if you know me." His cold reply and stern gaze made her smile grow bigger, as she understood that she had managed to tick his nerves and that sure felt as fair as it felt satisfying.

"How can I not know you? We are friends from the university if you remember. We met through a mutual friend." Lisa reminded him of the lie he had agreed on when they were first introduced and Jay left his pocket face take over his face, finding her words as a subtle way to blackmail him over the secret he shared with Sophia.

"You got a stain"

"Eh ?! Where?"

"Here!" Jay didn't hesitate to bring up his paintbrush and apply paint on Lisa's nose, as a response to the way she cornered him verbally, however upon seeing her surprised expression and her now purple nose he couldn't help back crack a smile.

"Very funny. Now I will show you-" She threatened him the proceeded to dip her brush and splash her paint towards Jay who run away to avoid it at the last minute, leaving the paint to land on Christin who had come in the room to take the ladder and had ended up falling a victim of a sudden paint attack.

"Oh! I am sorry, that wasn't for you. I swear." Lisa told her as Jay and Theo, filled the room with their laughter for the scene sure was hilarious.

"My hair, my clothes, I am gonna kill you". Christin looked like she was about to go off at her but Lisa quickly went and grabbed her shoulders and turned her around.

"Let me take you to the bathroom to clean up. You look pretty with purple all over your face, No worries" Lisa smiled as she proceeded to lead the now blind Christin as she had close her eyes in order to prevent any dripping pain to fall in her eyes.

"Fuck, it stings. If I really go blind because of you, I swear I will get revenge on you." Christin warned her and Lisa just rolled her eyes at her dramatic behaviour right as she escorted her to her apartment and opened the door for her.

"You better speak better to me cause for your information, you are at my mercy right now, so be careful because I won't hesitate to let you smash against a wall or something." Lisa laughed as the whole situation seemed very funny and Christin got scared of her words, thing that made her walk even slower than she was for she did not trust Lisa, especially after that statement of hers, made the sight of her even more hilarious.

"Look, you have the sink right in front of you. Turn it on." She rested Christina's hands on the sink right after they reached the bathroom and then she left without even letting her know that.

"Lisa, come and give me a hug before I get cleaned." Christin joked not knowing that she was left alone, a smile on her face that was aiming to tease her friend and of course to stain her with some of the paint that had covered her.

"Come on~ show me some love." Christin insisted right before she burst out laughing as she imagined Lisa being crumbled into the corner making a strange expression at her.

But her laughter got cut abruptly as she felt someone's hands cupping her face and pulling her in a kiss that made her thoughts vanish and her whole being come to a halt.

"I hope you liked it since you asked me to." A low voice whispered to her, right after she felt the warmth of the touch leaving her skin and leaving her in utter shock. The sound of the voice echoed in her ears for a while, soon making her realize that obviously, it did not belong to Lisa as it was clearly a manly voice.

The question however was, who that voice belonged to? Who had dared to kiss her so suddenly and make her head such a mess, in a breaths timing?
