14 Chapter 14

"Dimitra~" Theo's voice boomed on the doorstep of the opposite apartment where the girls' had gathered, cleaning and getting ready to start painting.

They had opened the doors since early morning and the hallway was filled with the voices and the music they had on playing while working, not carrying much about the other neighbours they had around.

"Ah! You are here. Come inside." Dimitra looked over her shoulder upon hearing her name and then with a smile waved at him to approach since she was busy trying to open up a box.

"Let me introduce you. This is one of the boys that live upstairs. They are all good guys and potentially good friends. These are the three girls that will move here as you can see." She moved her hand from right to left and vice versa showing them as she spoke.

"Reina, nice meeting you!" She was the first to walk over to him and give him a proper greeting, accepting his handshake and sharing a friendly smile.

"Likewise. I'm Theo and these two still standing by the doorstep are my friends, Jay and Jin." Theo looked behind him and gestured to his two friends to come closer, making the attention of the girls fall on them for they hadn't even noticed them so far.

"I am Christin, I am very happy to be meeting you. Like very happy." Christin came running from the other room as soon as she took a glimpse of the voices she was hearing and realized that the statements the girls made last night, weren't a joke. These guys were sure handsome.

"And my name is Anna" She joined the introduction and the three boys bowed slightly all together with a little, official greeting them all.

"Where is Sophia?" Was all Jay questioned immediately after he was done with portraying his good manners for he had noticed her absence immediately and all he cared about was her? The only reason he had agreed on helping in this extra work was that Theo had told him that all the girls would be giving a hand and as such he would have been around Sophia.

"They went with Lisa to get the rest of the paint, it won't take long. If you want to help there are the brushes, we've kind of started some rooms." Dimitra proceeded to explain and Jay just nodded his head, slightly disappointed then made a signal to Jin to follow him.

The guy seemed a bit perplexed for a moment for when Theo had called him and had asked him to come over, he surely hadn't thought that it would be to paint someone's house. They were both acting students after all and they had shared their company for some years now but when they would hang out, it never was to do manual work.

"We barely arrived and you are making us work already?." Theo raised an eyebrow at her, feeling slightly disappointed that he couldn't chitchat a bit more for the only reason he had offered to help was basically to court her. It was not that he had felt generous after Shiro informed them that he would be going to help Sophia and her new friends, all he was willing for was to make time for her.

"Well, you volunteered to help on your own, didn't you. You were literally screaming over the phone 'me! I will do it' I could hear you over Sophia's speaker." Dimitra called him out without hesitation and laughed at the reminder of his childish enthusiasm.

"Okay, point taken!" He gave in as he no longer had any words to counter hers so he just gifted her an awkward smile and proceeded to walk away

"Wait. You didn't tell me about that new guy you brought along. Who is he?"

"Shiro went somewhere after a phone call and Jamie had somewhere to be for a bit so I felt like we were short of people and I called him over. He is Jin and he is from the acting department and he is from the guys that agreed to play on your project film."Theo informed her as he had done his best to get his friends to act after he heard of her project and had reassured her that he had down all the male roles.

Dimitra looked over her shoulder for a moment at the new guy then leaned closer to Theo's ear, making his body freeze at the sudden close proximity.

"He sure looks handsome as hell and most likely will appear good on camera but is he any good at acting?" Dimitra spoke softly in his ear so that Jin didn't hear anything however that action of hers was putting Theo in a tight spot.

"He is a senior and a top student." He informed her, avoiding looking her in the eyes after she pulled away.

"Ah, really?! That's great! You seriously found the best huh. Thank you very much." Dimitra got overwhelmed by the exciting thought of having such an actor on her film and she ended up throwing herself on him, giving him a quick hug and a peck on his cheek, right before she flashed him a wide smile and run away towards Jin, in order to get to know him better, leaving behind a shocked yet provoked Theo who was having thoughts for her that he shouldn't.

"Lisa, I can no longer do this. It is very heavy." Sophia exhaled a heavy breath and left down the two five-pound buckets of paint she was carrying for her arms felt like they were about to fall off.

"Oh come on Sophia ~! You stopped again. We will not get anywhere like that. We have to walk two more squares you know." Lisa placed her own buckets of panting near hers and scolded her, despite the fact that she herself seemed tired.

"Yes, go ahead, pretend like you aren't tired as hell. Anyways, I really don't understand why did we had to go buy paint from a shop that is so far away from our apartment building. Was there no shop closer to us?" She questioned for all these years she has been living around there she may have not tried to look for shops that sell paint deliberately but she sure remembers seeing one somewhere not that far.

"Well...we got to that one because it had purple walls inside the store, and you know...I have a weakness for purple," Lisa hesitated to speak however as she kept going, she noticed the way her friend's expression darkened so she tried to blink cutely her eyelashes and gift her an angelic smile.

"LISA!! God give me the patience not to commit murder. I am too young to go to prison." Sophia looked towards the sky before she threw an angry gaze again at her friend then sat down on the pavement on the sidewalk.

"Come on, I am sorry, I know, my fault. I will accept it. Now please get up so we can get home at some point soon"

"I'm not going anywhere. I texted Shiro and he will come and pick us up by car. As if I would sit around following your crazy nonsense on this hot day. " Sophia admitted her prior secret actions and now it was Lisa's turn to look at her angered and scoff.

"I seriously can't believe you !! Do you want to fall so low and ask for help to carry two small buckets? What will society say later about us females, huh? That we are weak?! NO, I DO NOT ACCEPT THIS !!"

"Well, don't accept it then and stop dramatizing everything. Just say that you do not want him specifically to help you because you dislike him and do not want to owe him anything." Sophia rolled her eyes at her behaviour and calmly called her out right before Shiro's vehicle fell to her sight on the horizon.

"Okay !! Since you put it that way yes I admit it, that's exactly why so I am leaving. See you at home." Lisa picked up her two buckets and took off without a split of hesitation, leaving Sophia alone behind just to look at her back that was getting further away.

"Why the heck is she so stubborn?" Sofia burst out her thoughts as she stood up and took out of her pocket her phone, informing her that she was almost there.

"Am I late?" Shiro spoke to her as he brought his vehicle to a halt near her feet, a thing that startled her a bit since her attention was on her phone momentary.

"No, you came quickly enough." Sophia smiled at him and after he stepped out of the vehicle, she gave him a quick kiss and a hug then he proceeded to take the buckets and place them at the track.

"Didn't you say that you are together with that despicable friend of yours? Where is she? Don't tell me that she was hit by a car? That would be such good news." Shiro's face light up at the thought, his comment however brought a frown upon Sophia's and she soon grew even more irritated by his statement.

"I have had enough of you both," she exclaimed right before she snatched the car keys from Shiro's hand and stepped into the driver's seat.

"Babe? What are you doing? Come on, I'm talking to you, Sophia open up!" Shiro knocked on the window as he spoke to her for she had just locked him outside of his own car.

"I do not know why you dislike her and she dislikes you so much and I do not care. Do not go home if you do not solve whatever your problem is between for I refuse to sit and listen to you cursing at each other all the time! I had enough!! "Sophia shouted him, right before she brought the engine to life and took off, not carrying about how he was calling her name for she had reached her peak with this childish behaviour of theirs.

"Wow, Sophia !! She really just drove off?" Shiro looked dumbfounded at his car getting further from his sight along with his girlfriend whom he had apparently angered.

"I can no longer feel my hands anymore," Lisa admitted to herself as she leaned her back against the wall of a building to take a break.

"Wait till I get home, we will see if I will do anything else. I will fall on the couch and let the others cut their throat. I am not helping anyone. Nice Lisa is so logging out for today ." She concluded as she was feeling annoyed at everything and everyone without any apparent reason.

She left her buckets on the ground and started stretching her arms a bit, in hopes of making her muscles feel better but as she was doing so, a strange sound got her attention, making her look towards the allay that was some feet distance from where she was standing.

She took some steps towards it reflexively as curiosity took the best of her, but once she arrived close enough to look inside, her brief feeling got replaced with an outburst of anger and her steps speed up inside the allay in a brave manner.

"Hey! What do you think that you are doing there! Back off. Leave him alone!" Lisa raised her voice in a demanding way at the high schoolers that were literally kicking another guy, as they had surrounded him and had made the poor looking boy break to tears.

"Mind your own business, bitch!"

Replied one of the young men and aggressively stepped out of their circle, towards her.

"What the heck did he just called me?!! Ah~~ they are kids an all but he sure has a death wish!"

Lisa thought as she already had her nerves agitated and this behaviour of theirs was not helping her much to remain the adult and bigger person in this situation, for her mind just screamed id desire to break their bones, at that instant.

"Guys, I think this old lady wants to pick a fight with us. Look at how she is gazing at me with those flaming eyes." The young man that had approached her started to make fun of her, his words bringing laughter to his friends while he took further steps till he halted right before her.

"Old is your mother to whom you should go and ask for forgiveness, for becoming a bastard, after all, she went through to give life to you." She retorted, without blinking and the guy smirked, finding her attitude kinda amusing.

"Oh, now that I see you up close you surely look delicious. That wild look of yours kinda turns me on" He boldly stated right before he brought his fingers to gently touch her cheek with and Lisa pulled back from his touch, in her mind, ready to teach this arrogant youth a lesson.

"I'm glad you got turned on then because now I'm going to turn you off once and for all!" A dark and low tone of voice was heard behind her, making her turn around in surprise, only to be met with a piercing gaze that cut the air like a sword.

"Shiro" She spoke his name, her eyes unable to leave him yet for she recognized the aura he was emitting and became aware that he was more than mad.

And he surely was, because the fact that someone was trying to flirt with her right before his eyes, had made him snap. He surely hated her more than he could say however he definitely hated people approaching her even more.
