18 The Truth
FLASHBACK CONTINUED
"I think you were very much stressed. That may be the reason that you slept early, I suppose .
…... Or you just wanted to see me , empress... !???" The questions of late Emperor were like clear waters and the lady nodded in a yes.
"Yes, I was stressed and I wanted to see you to seek answers for my questions. Who is th..”
“I know , I will answer every question of yours today. But let me have a good look at you dear. " The emperor cut her question amidst and replied staring at her face which was always his calm garden and always bloomed as soon as she spotted him .
"Come, let us sit. Then I will tell you." he gestured her his hands showing her a shady area under the mahogany tree in that forest.
The lady gave her hand and they both sat down locking their hands and looking at each other lovingly.
"Before, I would answer your questions, tell me did you have that herb !" He asked her .
"Amm ... yes. , I had it . But are you sure that after that herb, the dream-catchers won't be able to step in my dream !!" she asked with worry clearly written over her face.
"Hahahh ...!! of course, they won't ... my dear." he replied with a low chuckle.
"Ok, now ask me whatever you want to .." As soon as these words left his lips, the lady got merrier and shot him with a row of questions asking all the things to which he made her paused and said that he would answer one by one .
"First, the book is from heavens and it belonged to the first non- nominal werewolf king Ozouf when our clan was founded by moon goddess. It is a magical book and have everything related to the royals and some others who are deeply connected with the werewolves."
"Ohh... then why didn't you tell me about it when you were ali...!!" as she asked this with a low lying face , he replied ...
"Because, it was not the correct time."
She hummed and looked over his face for him to answer her next question.
"Next , the things which I told you to do are all concerned with Emerald and his life."
Listening her dear grandson's name from her late husband, she gasped and couldn't help but get worried instantly which didn't go unnoticed by him and he replied that she should not worry because, this time things are unpredictable and they are only helping to ease the situations.
Just she sutured her lips to ask more and more and many further questions, but the emperor replied ...
“Sweetheart, that girl is somehow connected to our Emerald and ..."
She cut him amidst and asked narrowing him immediately " and you are interfering in his fate , lord !?"
"No honey, I am not interfering, but trying to help them both. Moreover, it's my task which I had to finish off before leaving this mortal world, but that couldn't happen back then and I left earlier. So, I need to finish it off ."
"And then you would never visit me again ...!!!!" she asked lowering down her head down.
"I ..." he tried to say something but nothing came out of his lips.
Finding that the man wasn't speaking anything at all, the lady understood that he won't visit her again once his purpose got fulfilled. Thus, she tried to control the unruly tears which were on the verge of flowing from the corner of her beautiful eyes.
Looking at her anxious face, the emperor hurriedly diverted the topic and suggested her ....
"Well, you have to read that book . "
Yes, the book... amidst their conversation , she totally and nearly forgot to ask him about the book properly, yet he still understood her the best and sensing her thoughts he tried to elaborate all the things saying ...
"Read 7 DAYS AND 7 LIVES…... slowly and swiftly page by page, according to the time zones. You .. You have to start reading it from the front page and then proceed further slowly.
Moreover, because I wasn't ordered to read it back then. So, I .. I don't know what's in there or whose lives are briefed in that . But I know one thing for sure and that is that you would definitely find something about Emerald and that girl for whom I asked you to summon the P2 werewolf guide."
"If you hadn't read it ... then .. then how do you know that it contains the information about them two !" Her question caught him off guard and thus he replied plainly…....
"Back then, I was a mortal . So, I didn't have the audacity to read it. But now ... I am a free wandering soul . So, I know some of the things very clearly. "
Stopping for a moment and thinking about something deeply , he told
..."Anyhow, you have to start reading it by tomorrow and you would know what you have to do and how you have to do ."
"Hmm ... I understand ." She responded.
"No, one more thing ... you can't reveal the information contained in that book to anybody . It is dangerous and too many people and their lives are concerned. it must be kept confidential."
"Hm ... okay . I will follow ." said the lady and enquired ...
" Could you tell me the name of that girl ...?"
To this question, the man replied shaking his head in a no ..." I can't .... because even I myself don't know about it. Only one person can tell her name. "
The lady felt surprised and asked back ..." Who ..??"
The man replied ..." Our son..." and his answer pushed her to an endless silence.
~RIVERSTONE TOWN JUNGLE~
Over the other side..... in jungle hut....
The girl lying over the bed opened her eyes with all kinds of body pains and tried to move her body. She felt as if she had been rolled over by a heavy truck and that too numerous number of times.
Spotting a man standing leaning over the door frame, she got scared immediately and asked while wrapping herself with the duvet suturing ....
" Who... who are you ? where am I ? why I am here ? "
"A.... Ssshhhh ... why so many questions ...!? ask them one by one .." Luke replied taking a puff of his cigar and he appeared way too calm as if nothing had happened. But he was prepared to head for his mission again as the girl was quite sobered up by now.
The girl over there got to the bathroom and freshened up quickly and slipped into a summer dress. while drying her way too long hairs, she stepped out of the bathroom and was mumbling ..' why they are growing this fastly and why the color is changing!’
But Luke on the other side was hearing her mumbles and without even her asking , he replied ...
"Because , you are a mermaid."
Scarlet was like.... …..
“!!!”
Silence crept into the whole room in which two people were there or just one was there inside while the other was leaning over the door only puffing his cigar.
As soon as the words left his mouth, Scarlet who was looking over hair ..and drying them patting with the towel stopped her action and got stunned as if she had been stuck by a thunderbolt numerous times. she had become a statue and wasn't moving at all.
While she was stunned and dazzled, the man was so calm as if he was the stagnant water inside a years old pond which didn't have any ripples or waves since the past years . He took long strides and walked inside the room to the girl standing like a statue .
" It’s not something to be a statue. You should be happy instead that you have got some powers now." he spoke near her ears snapping her out of her world of thoughts.
" What the ... !! what are you even saying ?? Did you listen to yourself ...? " she shot him with a ray of questions once again forgetting the fact that he didn't answer all the previous ones.
"Woo woo woo.... hold on . pause and take a break miss. you can't always shoot your questions on me .
Also ... is t it enough that I had already answered the most wanted question of yours...!?"
"You ... you are insane a d you are spouting nonsense. " she stomped her feet over the ground and headed outside of the hut feeling raged.
While Luke was standing there flabbergasted over her attitude and slapped himself inside his head thinking how is he going to handle this girl, who appear to be that much rude to him .
~EMERALD'S ROOM, WEREALM~
On the other side, Emerald was in his castle like house inside his king -sized room over his bed twisting and turning in the morning again. He was again feeling that kissing sensation and this time it was more like reality as if someone had really kissed him and in an attempt to catch the person, he shot open his eyes immediately and caught someone's hand.
When he gazed at the person, it was none other than his father who was caressing his son's head lovingly and kissed his forehead.
"Dad... it's you ."
"Hmm .. it me . But it looks like you were expecting someone else. " said his father.
"No father... may be I was in deep sleep. Anyhow you settle here . "
The king took a seat besides him while plopping on the soft comfy bed and asked ...
" Well... there are some matters in the opposite side of the city. you need to take care of all those.
Would you go there personally ?"
" Sure, dad . where and when will I have to go !?" asked Emerald stepping into his slippers.
"You have to go to the town Present in the outskirts of city and besides there is a jungle.” replied the king.
“A jungle... I think there are no werewolves for the time being. It's totally a human inhabited area father. "
"Yes, but the sacred pond had been invaded by someone and you have to seal it again . As it can only be sealed by royals and that too an alpha or a would be king. I am badly occupied with the matters here. so, you have to go."
"Ok, dad. I would go today after attending my scheduled meetings. "
"Hmm ... And yes Emerald ... I want to inspect your wings. Could you open up !?"
~DESTINY LAND~
Choice nearly got chocked over that reply of Luke's. Both the sisters were having their lunch and choice asked destiny ...
" Sister, what do you think ? I think this late old emperor ( referring to the dead emperor )is taking up your role ."
"You ... " Destiny wanted to scold her sister but stopped when Choice pouted her lips like a baby.
