12 Ghost healing potion

"Gillet!" The plump bald man who watched Draven breaking the skull of his party member finally came out of his shock. He dropped to his knees and turned Gillet's body. His head was badly caved in. The man could barely feel any pulses,

The other party members were startled. No one in the Inn expected Draven to almost kill a man.

"GET HIM!" the bald man shouted at the rest of his party members,

"WAIT!" The bartender tried to stop the fight but he was too late. Draven grabbed the hand of a man who leaped at him. In a blink of an eye, Draven stabbed the man's clavicle with the wooden fork before breaking his arm like a twig.

"AHH!" the man screamed in agony while spraying blood all over the bar counter. Draven grabbed the stool he was sitting on in one hand and broke the stool on another one's head at lightning speed.

The man immediately lost his consciousness as Draven moved on to the last member of the adventurer party. This time, it wasn't a man but a woman.

After seeing Draven knocking out three of her party members in a few blinks of an eye, she was terrified and did not make any move against Draven. Instead, she just screamed at the soldiers,

"ARREST THIS MAN!"

That was the moment the girl realized she fucked up. He would have left her alone but since she called the guards on him, he knocked her out cold with a single punch. The sheer force behind the punch threw the girl off balance. She stumbled onto the tables behind her knocking all the food and drinks on the table before falling down to the floor.

Sarah was shivering. The soldiers finally decided to interject because it was going beyond a simple inn fight.

"Margoth" Draven called the ancient god in his mind counting twenty-five soldiers around him. A couple of the soldiers were still wearing their full plate armor while the rest of them only wore chainmail on top of loose cotton shirts.

"Any gifted ones here?"

"No…but there are too many for you to fight" Margoth said. Although he knew Draven was a bloody good fighter, there were too many soldiers in the Inn and when the fight started, the others might join, making the number of people Draven have to fight to double. In addition, the armor Draven wore wasn't tailored for his body, thus, it prevented Draven from unleashing his full fighting skills.

Usually, Draven would have avoided such unnecessary fights. However, the entity within him calling itself the system awarded him with points when he smashed open Gillet's head. He had yet to grasp the system's requisite to generate legend points.

"Stand down" A bulky soldier ordered Draven. He and a couple of soldiers approached Draven from all directions.

"You don't have to do this" Sarah whispered

"I do" As he said, Draven kicked the soldier in front of him immediately, sending him stumbling backward while punching the soldier on his right.

This time, the soldier on the left acted quickly as he punched Draven in the rib cage.

The soldier's hand went numb and before he could react, Draven grabbed his head and smashed it on the counter.

The rest of the soldiers got furious when they saw him knocking down their friends. The adventurers were pretty startled too. The soldiers represented the king and no one would dare to lay a hand on a soldier until now. They saw the youngster knocking out not one but three soldiers. This made the soldiers lose their faces.

All the soldiers dashed at him at the same time with an intent to beat the crap out of him. They wanted to make an example out of him. Otherwise, every run-of-the-mill criminal would raise their hand against the soldiers.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Draven grabbed Sarah's mug, throwing the beer onto a soldier's face and beating another soldier with the mug. She quickly moved behind as Draven kicked the sack filled with etherials to her.

Bang!

"Ah" A soldier punched Draven in the face as Draven stumbled sidewards but soon regained his balance to head butt the soldier. The soldier's nose broke with a sickening crunching sound. Draven spat the blood, wiping the blood dripping down the corner of his mouth.

The more Draven fought the soldiers, the more he heard the sound of the notifications ringing in his head,

"Make it stop!" Margoth shouted. He was quite annoyed by the mechanical voice he's been hearing,

Almost half an hour later, only a few stood on their feet as the rest of the customers were either lying completely knocked out or growling on the floor in pain.

Only one figure managed to stand up using the bar counter as support. He was none other than Draven but no one would recognize him due to the blood on his face. His face was swollen, bruised, and beyond recognizable.

"What's gotten into you Draven?"

Margoth had never seen Draven go berserk before. It was a damn bloody fight. To be honest, Margoth couldn't believe Draven managed to emerge as the victor of this fight. He beat up all the soldiers and everyone who tried to stop him.

"Come" Sarah felt a chill when she heard his drowsy voice. She could barely hear the word over the sound of the soldiers and adventurers growling.

The adventurers who stood beside Sarah immediately moved aside, making way for Sarah. Their faces were as pale as white sheets.

While Sarah was navigating her way through the growling men on the floor, Draven grasped his nose which was looking weird.

Crack!

Those who saw him punch his own nose to set it right squeamished. His tolerance for pain astonished the people including Sarah.

"Hrggghh" He let out a grunted,

[Ding! The host has enough points to upgrade the system to level 2]

[Does the host wish to upgrade the system?]

The system prompted Draven,

"Yes"

At this moment in time, Draven had no idea what the system was or what it was capable of. He just wished for something that he knew he couldn't get; his family.

[System upgrading initiated…]

[3 mins remaining…]

He heard the familiar robotic sound of the system as he walked towards the door. Every single place in his body ached and he couldn't even imagine what would have happened to him if it wasn't for the armor that absorbs most of the blows. Even with that armor, he didn't walk out of the Inn unscathed.

Sarah followed him behind, prepared to catch him any second. When he opened the door, the stormy wind outside almost pushed them to the ground. She hated to go outside in that heavy rain. Only if they stayed in the inn, prison would be the next place they'd go.

The heavy rain cleansed Draven's clothes, washing all the blood on him. The streets were pitch black and no one was on the streets, not even the patrolling soldiers.

"Are you alright?!" Sarah had to scream over the sound of howling wind,

"Does he look fine you stupid girl"

"Shut up both of you" Draven continued to limp towards the town square and suddenly halted his steps after some time,

[System upgraded]

[Congratulations, the host has received a Ghost Healing potion!]

Draven felt something materialize in his hand. When he looked down, he saw a vial with sparkling blue potion in his hand.

"How?" Draven was stunned. He looked around frantically but found no one.

[The system recommends the host drink the healing potion directly or apply it to your wounds]

"What is that?" Margoth saw the vial when he materialized himself over Draven's shoulder. The sparkling blue potion was too sparkling to miss.

Draven uncocked the vial and poured the potion on his palm. When a drop of the potion touched his palm, he felt a soothing sensation all over his body. He then slowly raised his arm to apply the potion to the bruises on his face.

As soon as he touched his face with the potion, the pain he felt on his face vanished. He could feel the skin getting revitalized as Margoth saw the bruises on his face gradually disappearing until his face completely healed. Even his broken nose moved itself to the right position.

"That's a healing potion, where…how…its…shit" Margoth realized he must have gotten the potion from the entity called itself the system. However, since Sarah was with them, he couldn't say it out loud.

Draven ran his fingers through his face to see no bruises or cuts on it. He then stared blankly at the potion in his hand,

[The remaining potion is sufficient to heal the internal bleeding and pain. It is recommended to drink the potion]

Yet again the system instructed Draven. This time, Draven did as he was told. Sarah saw Draven chug this unknown potion and when he finished emptying the liquid into his mouth, she noticed a glimmer of light radiate all over his body from within. The light disappeared like a flash. Draven immediately felt his energy returning to him as the pain he was feeling gradually faded away. In a couple of seconds, he felt no pain at all.

He took a couple of steps and he could actually walk without limping. He had heard that UFH invented a prototype device that could heal injuries at a rapid speed but he doubted it could heal like this potion.

[Anything is possible host]

Draven couldn't help sensing a tinge of pride and arrogance hidden within the mechanical voice of the system. For a few moments, he just stared at the empty vial in his hand. His mind went blank thinking that the system gifted him with such a powerful elixir that would cause a war between the kingdoms if they knew the existence of such potion. In the wrong hands, the potion could change the fate of the world if one was to replicate the potion.

Whatever the cost of having the system, he decided to pay it, if it could help him get his revenge and by the looks of it, the system seemed capable enough to let him do anything he wanted.
