44 I am your wife! (Sang Qian & Wang Zhao)

Sang Qian was waiting in front of the study. Her expression was not nervous but rather a confused one. She was wondering what changed him so much? Was he caring for her?

Soon the door opened. Wang Zhao walked out and she turned around to face him. Their eyes met. He stared at her for a couple of seconds before he walked past her.

She was left there standing like that. She saw the sudden change of emotions in his eyes. They were cold like they used to be. The change she thought he would have after the wedding was gone.

She stared at his back and suddenly he stopped in his tracks. "Aren't you coming with me?" he said in a calm yet loud tone. She blinked and simply walked to his side as they both walked outside.

Sang Qian entered the passcode to her apartment as she stepped inside. Her heart beat increased when she turned to look back at Wang Zhao who had just noticed the passcode.

"The passcode is familiar." He remarked. He squinted his eyes as if thinking deeply. Sang Qian pushed the door open and got in. Her ears started burning. She wanted to avoid him.

Wang Zhao followed her and he thought deeply. "2-5-6-9-0. It's my birthdate." He exclaimed. He was himself suprised. She even had his birthdate as her passcode. A chuckle escaped his lips. "This is how much you like me?"

Sang Qian ignored his comment as if she never heard. "Have a seat. I will go and pack my stuff real quick." She walked towards the couch and patted the back of it.

Wang Zhao eyed the surrounding. He had seen her old apartment but not the new one. The new one was spacious and kind of classy. He liked the design. He walked to the kitchen.

Putting his hands in his pockets and raising his brows in an impressed manner he carefully studied his surroundings. "Take your time. We will leave by night." He turned his head towards her.

She was staring at him with a serious

expression. He felt something inside him churn under her pure gaze. He furrowed his brows when he noticed her eyes getting redder every second. He stared at her until she smiled lightly and turned around, disappearing in one of the rooms.

Her smile was pretty as if she was thinking something that made her cry and smile at the same time. He was still fixed in the same position. Her expression was imprinted in his brain. On the back of his head, he knew Sang Qian was the one.

Sang Qian on the other hand was simply staring at him because she found it mesmerizing. His posture, his calm face. Him acting normal with her. He was her husband. She wanted to marry him, and then it all seemed overwhelming.

He was there, by her side. She just wished it wasn't all a dream and she prayed he won't hurt her anymore, if he did. She would never be able to be herself anymore.

When he turned to look at her. She noticed his usually gentle stare. It wasn't cold but it was still distant. She smiled gently even though she knew tears glistened in her eyes. She didn't want to say anything. She wanted to imprint his image in her brain till the end.

Sang Qian entered her room and saw a paper on the bed with a gift box on it. She frowned. She walked to it and placed the gift box aside and lifted the note closer to her face to read.

"Dear Sang Qian,

I know we have been best friends for years, but something I never told you was my reality. I am not Wang Zhao's actual cousin. I am Qin Si of the grand family Qin of the Qin city. I am the heir to the family business and I have to leave this city for the same. Wang Zhao can explain everything to you.

He doesn't know, you never knew the truth. I am sorry, I need to go. I will be back as soon as I settle the matter. You are always my best friend and you will always be the most important person. Don't try to contact me, You will fail. I am leaving this gift behind. I hope to see you soon.

Your dearest friend,

Qin Si."

As Sang Qian read, her heart got heavy. She crumbled the note with the rising anger. Why does everyone think I don't need an explanation? Everyone takes random decisions and she isn't even aware.

A scoff escaped her lips. She wanted to throw the gift box away but couldn't. Her eyes teared up and she opened the gift box. It had a frame with her and Qin Si's picture. She smiled at the picture.

Tear escaped her eyes. She wiped it away and closed the gift box.

Wang Zhao tasted the soup. He frowned. "It's good." He complemented himself and stretched his neck. His sleeved rolled up and the apron tied around his waist. He heard footsteps and turned to look at Sang Qian.

She had changed into a comfortable oversized t-shirt, paired with her knee length shorts. She looked cute as she pushed her bag outside. He walked to her. She turned her head and her eyes were slightly swelled.

He grabbed her hand when she was about to walk away. "Come and eat. I will pick the bags up later." He pulled her along to the kitchen. There was a standing stool near the counter. She took a seat there as he served the meal.

She looked at all the delicious food he had prepared. She looked back up. "Thank-you!"

He smiled very lightly that it was almost unnoticeable. "Why did you cry this time?" He asked as he took a seat beside her on the other stool.

"Qin Si left." She said as she picked the chopsticks up.

"I thought you knew." He nodded his head lightly.

"I didn't even know that she was not your real cousin. She left a note saying you will explain."

"I will do it later. First eat this before It gets cold." He pointed at her food.

"You are nice to me. Thank-you again." She murmured and stuffed her mouth.

He paused and looked at her. "I am trying my best to make it up to you for everything I had done. I wish I trusted you Qian." He pursed his lips.

Sang Qian turned her head to him. "You don't have to force yourself. Be nice only if you mean it. Also, stop thinking about what happened in the past. Mark it as a new beginning, would you?" She stared at him with a serious expression.

He nodded his head. "Okay."

She looked back down and smiled lightly. "I feel like it's a dream. You being nice. Us having a normal conversation and me being your wife. Its funny..."

Before she could speak further he stuffed her face with rice. "Eat!" He had an annoyed expression on his face. Sang Qian scoffed as she munched on her food with an ugly expression.

Wang Zhao sighed. He wasn't irritated with her but her words. She was giving him weird feelings since they met and now all of a sudden she was saying those words and it made his heart flutter lightly.

Sang Qian nudged his arm lightly. He frowned at her. "What?"

"You are blushing?" She asked.

"Why would I?" He scoffed and couldn't stand her accusation. He had to fight back. She was trying to bully him.

"Because you are sitting beside me. I am your wife. Newly-wed-wife!" She stated trying to mess with him. She loved it when he was annoyed.

"Oh really? You are my newly wed wife?" He asked, as an idea popped up. He knew he could shut her up easily.

"Yes I am." She exclaimed and turned to face him crossing her arms over his chest.

"Then act like one." He raised his brows.

"Heh? How you act like one? Is there something special you have to do? What's wrong with you?" She asked surprised and annoyed.

"You do your duties." He smirked.

"What duties?" She thought to herself. He leaned closer all of a sudden and she froze. Just a mere inch away, he stared at her stunned expression.

"Why? Don't you know the newly weds enjoy their youth. They have to do the deeds and explore the never-ending circle of marriage." He stated in a low and seductive voice.

She gulped lightly. Her heart fluttered. She could feel the intenseness in his eyes. She knew exactly what he was talking about. Her hand clutched her shirt tightly. She blinked. "I will eat, I am hungry."

She turned around and he pulled away. A smile was on his lips. "Why, you no longer want to be my newly-wedded-wife?"

"I didn't say I won't." She stuffed her mouth again with a smirk on her lips. "It will be fun, exploring." She remarked.

Wang Zhao scoffed. "You seriously got no shame heh?"

She winked at him and he turned his head away. "I know now, why I always tell others, how annoying are you."

Sang Qian smiled at his comment. "So you do talk to others about me." She chuckled.

He ignored her comment. "We will leave in sometime since we don't have anything to do here."

Sang Qian stepped out of the car. Wang Zhao followed her inside the apartment. She was moving in with him? She paused in her steps and he walked past her to the door. She looked back to see the bigger gate and then where Wang Zhao was headed.

The apartment was huge. She walked inside almost running. He entered the passcode and they entered inside. Mr Kim followed them with the luggage. He sighed. "Was that all? Just two bags?"

Sang Qian raised her brows. "I am not going to bring furniture with me, am I?" She raised a brow.

Mr Kim nodded his head. "My bad." He said as he pulled the luggage to the staircase. Wang Zhao walked to the couch and slumped himself on it. Sang Qian still eyed the interior.
