14 First misunderstanding (FB)

Wang Zhao was busy in greeting his business partners and meeting his old friends. He noticed that Mi Chan was really tense. Sang Qian who was not too far, was simply greeting others too, engaging in small conversations.

He excused himself and walked to Mi Chan. She immediately thanked him, being grateful that he accompanied her. He smiled at her," I am sorry, you are getting bored." She shook her head," that's not a big deal. I am used to it. I just thought I saw someone familiar."

Just then, A man walked towards them. He was just like Wang Zhao in his built. His aura was way colder than Zhao's. His face held a light frown which highlighted his cold features. Wang Zhao smiled at him," Aha, Zinhuo, So you are finally moving out to a new country this time?" Li Zinhuo smiled back and nodded but his eyes were fixed on Mi Chan.

Noticing this Wang Zhao frowned," Hey! Why are you staring at her like this?" Li Zinhuo smiled at him," does that bother you my friend? She just seems familiar." Wang Zhao failed to notice the restless expression on Mi Chan's face. She seemed very uncomfortable all of a sudden.

Wang Zhao nodded," Indeed, she is my secretary and someone I like." Mi Chan's face turned red as she looked away, how can he say it like this, at the moment. Li Zinhuo chucked and nodded," Ok, you love birds take your time, I will go and greet some other guests. I will meet you later in the backyard." He winked before leaving, Wang Zhao smiled back and started teasing Mi Chan who was blushing really hard.

Sang Qian searched around when she was left alone. Her eyes landed on Mi Chan and Wang Zhao chatting happily. She almost forgot to greet Mi Chan today. Walking to them she teased the cute Mi Chan," oh my god, you're looking so good tonight Mi Chan. Even the dress, I wanna steal it. Its looks so good on you."

Mi Chan's smile dropped lightly before she smiled again," Ah, Thank you sister Qian." Sang Qian felt a little weird with the way Mi Chan behaved. She still smiled," Well what are you guys talking about? why stop all of a sudden?" Wang Zhao and Mi Chan both looked at each other and then back at her.

"Business." "Nothing."

They both spoke at the same time. Sang Qian smirked," Alright, keep your secrets." Wang Zhao sighed," Yes Thank you." He heard someone call his name and turned around greeting an elderly man, later he excused himself talking with others, leaving Mi Chan and Sang Qian behind.

Sang Qian asked Mi Chan," want to have some wine?" Mi Chan nodded," sure." Smiling Sang Qian walked to waiter and picked up two glasses of wine. Just as she was walking towards Mi Chan, her foot twisted making her loose balance as she spilled the Wine all over Mi Chan's dress. Sang Qian would have fell if not for Li Zinhuo catching her on time. She balanced herself and just then did she notice that the wine fell on Mi Chan's gown who was standing their shocked.

Everyone was staring at them. She gulped, and looked around, her eyes met with Wang Zhao. His eyes were cold and staring at her with anger. He walked to Mi Chan's side and asked her worriedly," are you okay?" Sang Qian's face was filled with hurt as he threw her a remark," You disgust me. How could you do this to her? Now don't pretend that you tripped."

Sang Qian scoffed," Why would I do this to her?" Wang Zhao smiled coldly," I thought you changed, but look at you. You did this because You know I like her. I have seen the jealousy in your eyes." Mi Chan on the other hand held his arm," Stop." Looking at Sang Qian she smiled apologetically," I am sorry, and It's okay. I saw you trip."

With this Wang Zhao walked away holding Mi Chan's hand. Sang Qian was then hit with two realizations. First, He liked Mi Chan. Second, he accused her of something she didn't do on purpose, moreover, he humiliated her in public. Looking around, she saw everyone was discussing as they looked at her. When she looked down she noticed her own silk dress was soaked with wine. No one noticed that.

She turned to look at Li Zinhuo who was staring in the direction both wang Zhao and Mi Chan walked in. He looked back and smiled," I met you after a long time and like this." Sang Qian was in no mood to smile but she did," Sorry for creating a scene on your birthday party." He shook his head," It's okay. I know you didn't do it on purpose. I almost fell catching you."

Sang Qian let out a chuckle," You Haven't changed. But by the way, I heard you are moving out again?" He sighed," let's talk on your way back home, I will drop you. Look at the soaked dress." She sighed," I just cannot bring myself to curse the man I like." This time, he chuckled," Ok ok ma'am, at-least we know you're honest." Sang Qian smiled and as she took a step, she hissed. Pain shot up her foot and she couldn't bring herself to walk properly.

Her eyes teared up, Li Zinhuo held her hand as he walked her outside. She supported herself as they had a casual talk. They were cousins, so It was understandable why they had such a bond. After dropping Sang Qian, Li Zinhuo got back to the party.

Sang Qian convinced him that she could walk upstairs by herself. Instead she sat on the bench outside by herself. Her face was void of any expression. Her heart was breaking inside. How could he just assume anything? Moreover, the fact that he admitted he liked Mi Chan was something she could hardly swallow.

What was Sang Qian doing all this time? Were all those happy moments a waste? Was all that teasing a waste? Were all those happy dances a waste? What about the compliments? What about the beautiful relationship? What about that dinner night? What about asking her to be his partner to the gala? Was all that a waste? Was all that nothing? Was she making a fool of herself all this time?

Her eyes dimmed, as he realized a car approach her. She looked up lightly, getting out of her daze. The window rolled down and a familiar face was revealed. She blinked as he looked at her with cold eyes. Why did he even stop? Just drive away. Her eyes had tears which were threatening to fall. She looked down again and batted them away.

Wang Zhao stepped out of the car and took a seat beside her. She didn't say a thing, but he sighed," Why did you do that? Why did you have to spoil all the fun and the gala?" She didn't say a thing because she knew, the only words that will escape her mouth were either a confession or a question, both not in tune with the situation.

He looked at her and asked again," speak something, or you don't have anything to say Sang Qian?" She raised her head and looked at him," I love you." He froze. He looked at her again amazed. Sang Qian knew, that her feelings were real and she wasn't lying.

He looked at her for sometime before he sighed," You are back at it again? I told you..." he was cut off this time," I am serious, I was serious even back then. Why can't you trust me?" He let out a deep breath," I understand your feelings but, I already have decided who I want to love and who I want to marry. So I guess there is no use for you to waste your feelings over me like this."

Sang Qian scoffed," It's too late. I already wasted them." She looked down," leave." He wanted to say something but she again cut him off," Leave!" Her voice raised lightly. He knew, he couldn't help so he got in his car before driving away. As soon as the car disappeared from her line of sight, tears started rolling down her face. Her sobs were heard in the silent surroundings.

Soon she felt warmth when two arms wrapped around her. Without looking up she knew, it was Qin Si. Sang Qian hugged her back," I didn't follow what you said. I am sorry Si, I couldn't hold myself back to not fall in love." Qin Si rubbed her back," Li Zinhuo texted me, I got some medicine. Let's go home." Sang Qian sniffed as she nodded her head lightly. She raised herself to her feet and removed her heels, walking barefoot.

Qin Si's eyes shone with a cold glint when she saw her friend crying. She will keep a note of every single tear Sang Qian wept. She would make sure, if it all was intentional, she would make everyone who planned this pay. If it was a trivial matter, she could let it go, but only if the wrong doer wasn't aware of his doings.

Sang Qian was not crying anymore but she was sad and it was clear from her face. Mi Chan patted her back," It's okay. We got this. You don't have to worry yourself over that useless guy. You deserve way better." Sang Qian sighed," That's not helpful and comforting. Nevermind, I will go and change." She got up and walked inside her room slowly.

Qin Si sighed," I tried." she wondered, how could Sang Qian be sarcastic when she was sad?

However, She was about to leave and couldn't gather up courage to tell this to Sang Qian so she simply left a note and walked out with her luggage and locked the door on her way out. She knew Sang Qian was sad but she couldn't help it. She didn't want to make her more sad telling her about her own issues.

A/N- in this chapter, I decided to take a very cliche seen or act every villainess is forced to perform by every author ever. I hope I justified the scene well from Sang Qian's perspective.

Moreover, when Villains confess, they are usually short and brief cause most of the time they are denied by the ML's. I also switched to Sang Qian's point of view because I wanted to glorify her feelings when she was denied and what she felt.

Don't forget to comment what you think!
