_________ POV Narration_________

'How exactly do I convince this guy to not kill me?' Vladislav's plan was rather simple at first, he was supposed to take down the old men that ruled the world and take over their operations.

He already had all of the framework prepared for such a takeover, he just needed this one last step to go by perfectly.

He was going to calm Beru down after he managed to get the power and influence of the rest of the leaders in his hands, but taking over their business was now a bit difficult...

Beru became the judge in this situation, Vlad no longer had the upper hand over the old men, he was actually brought down at the same level as them.

The insectoid possessed the strength to kill all of the people in the room before they even had a chance to blink. The young Vlad was obviously worried about that.

"Killing all of us won't do you any good..." Vladislav needed to choose his words carefully, as to avoid getting on Beru's bad side.

"Oh really?~ You guys seem to be the root of my problems currently~" Beru said as the flames around him seemed to grow brighter and brighter.

The guards, as well as most of the old men, covered their eyes due to the light.

"More will just replace us... That's always been the case with the underworld. Where there's a gap, there will be many trying to fill it... Killing us will create a massive gap, therefore a massive war for the filling of that gap..." Vladimir, the old and disgraced old man still spoke with a sound tone.

He controlled his rage and took an approach similar to that of his grandson's. It was their only real ticket out.

"I know how the world works...~ Killing you guys still would get rid of my problems, I'm not entirely interested in what happens in your turfs after you're gone~ Japan isn't going to be affected much~" The leaders were silent after hearing Beru's response.

They had no way to refute it. No self-respecting gang was going to try and take over Japan anymore, Beru's presence and activity made it simply impossible.

The war for their territories and the panic that would ensue would only happen within the countries that they each ruled over.

"So that's it huh?~ I guess you guys don't even know what to say to save your hides~" Some seemed to be tearing up, some seemed to be about to throw themselves on the ground in hopes of begging for mercy.

But none of them seemed to get that leisure. The second those words left Beru's mouth, blue flames erupted from his body in great torrents, the temperature melted the skin off of their flesh.

What the flames touched, turned to ash in a few seconds. Beru's vision was also a bit obstructed by the flames. He could still see some of the figures in them tough.

He saw how the men fell to the ground and tried to roll before their brains were melted, some of the older leaders seemed to just accept their deaths. They stood at the table, unmoving, simply staring at the burning ceiling.

They were by no means men deserving of pity. But, at least some of them chose to face their deaths with dignity. It was part of their trade after all.

The second the flames vanished, Beru noticed a few odd things. One, Vladislav was still standing on his feet. Two, the place where the old Vladimir was supposed to be was just a steaming puddle...

"Did I just melt that old fuck?~ And why are you still alive?~ Some fire resistance quirk or something?~" Beru tilted his head as he looked over the body of Vladislav.

Beru then suddenly felt something familiar, it was a strange itching sensation, looking down, he could see his own body covered in burns as if he wasn't immune to them or something.

Well, he wasn't actually immune, but he was resistant to his own flames. The ones he had just used wouldn't have been able to even leave a mark on his body...

"This is strange...~" Beru muttered as he looked at his rapidly healing body. It was looking quite melted in places, burns of all types all over his body.

"Well... I guess this would be a good time to mention that I can't really be killed through conventional means..." Vladislav spoke with a wry smile. He looked around the room, trying to hide his brief surprise at how decisive Beru was in taking all of them down.

"Yea~ Kinda noticed that one myself~" Beru spoke as he was about to swipe his hand at Vladislav.

"Hold on now... Don't even bother doing that." The young man raised his hand while smiling a bit.

He knew that Beru could still kill him eventually, but he at least had a chance to negotiate, unlike the rest of the people that were killed earlier.

Beru once again tilted his head. Looking at the man with a questioning glare. The message was clear 'Say your piece before I get bored and kill you~'. It was easily transmitted through Beru's eyes and body language.

"You see, you did kinda kill everyone in this room, which is regrettable and all. But the next ones to rise to power will definitely seek you out too... I heard that you value simple things above all... Wouldn't it be a bother if you were to be bothered every time a new power rose to prominence?"

Beru just nodded a bit at the young mafia leader's words. He already knew what he was implying, but he wasn't quite convinced of it yet.

"IF, if you let me live, I can take control of all of their operations within the week. I can make sure that none of them will ever touch or bother you and Japan." Vladislav raised his hands as he looked at the charcoal coloured room.

"That's nice and all~ But why are you assuming I would trust you?~" Beru tilted his head, he already knew the answer, but it was rather fun seeing the young man in front of his eyes struggle like a butterfly in a jar.

"Well, that's a bit difficult... I highly doubt you can trust me so easily. But I can at least assure you that my confidence in dealing with you is as low as can be. There's not really much that can be said there. No reason to stir up trouble I can't deal with." Vladislav shrugged.

"... But you still decided to nuke my ass?~," Beru asked in an odd tone.

"Oh please, if that little bomb was enough to take you down, then I wouldn't be this worried and cautious when dealing with you. Think of it as nothing more than a present with 'shock value." Vladislav waved that argument off rather quickly.

That bomb was never meant to kill Beru anyway. Vladislav had no delusion of it being able to do much damage to Beru. It was just there to create a scene big enough to gather everyone in one place.

Him feeding Yori information was also meant to be a way to get Beru to come to their location.

From the beginning, Vlad had no intention to become Beru's enemy. That was because he knew how strong Beru was.

"Fair enough~ Let's do it like this~ I give you three days to get shit under control~ And I expect nothing to even touch Japan~ No drugs no nothing~ I don't care if it's from your business or others~ If something happens, I come to you and we'll have a friendly discussion.~" Beru turned around and opened up a portal.

"By that, I mean that I'll be having a discussion with your decapitated head placed nicely on a spike~ Also, be a sport and kill that old fuck at the head of the table~ Seems he got all liquidy before he burned alive~ Should be easy enough for you~" Beru stepped into the portal while waving back at his new 'associate'.

The second Beru disappeared, Vlad took a deep breath.

"... So, 'Prove you're usefulness, and you'll live.' I can work with that. Much better than what the treatment he gave you... Right grandpa?" The young blonde man turned around and looked at the steaming puddle on the ground in the place his grandfather was usually at.

It slowly seemed to gain a form, as an old man gasping for breath appeared. His body was filled with burns, even though he had managed to avoid his death.

"... You..." The old man was too tired to even respond.

"Welp- Orders are orders!" Vlad took out a desert eagle and just shot his grandfather in the head.

The old man's eyes went wide, as the last thing he saw was his own blood shooting him square in the face.

"That's one less pest to deal with... Better get to work, Beru didn't really give all that much time..."

And so, Beru managed to take down/subjugate the strongest criminal syndicates in the world... Things seemed to be looking up, at least for now.

But there were still many things to be done... Like finding a cure for the Nomus, or looking for a way to safely deliver the cure to 'Quirk Factor Overload' to the world.

Oh, so much work... But hey, not like Beru's alone or something...
