Chapter 4: The wolf and the little girl
So Arthurias ended up agreeing on becoming Lucretia's guardian knight, It seems the man named Ross doesn't trust the Knights of this kingdom because the last knight stationed to protect her forgot his responsibilities and indulged himself in debauchery in the red light district.
That pissed off Ross and executed that knight on the spot, also because of that there are no more knights willing to work under him.
"Wait a minute....Isn't his fault why there are no more knights willing to guard the princess?"
For some reason Lucretia is sleeping on my lap, and the old man Ross is looking at her lovingly he looks like a father.
Arthurias:<Sooooo.... Ross-san what happened to Lucretia's parents?>
Ross:<Lucretia's parents were assassinated by an organization under Loki Aesirion, Second prince of the Asgard Empire.>
Arthurias:<Loki? so he's a god?>
Ross:<God? No he's no god he is human but his skills in fire magic and shape shifting is top notch though some say it's on mythical level.>
Ross:<The most dangerous one is his elder brother Thor Aesirion he loves to battle, the reason Asgard keeps expanding is because of him.>
Ross:<There are two empires in the frozen north one is Asgard and the second is Jotun these two empire hates each other but also cunning, despite being enemies they still have the time to mess with smaller kingdoms here in the south.>
Ross:<These two empires believed one of them will rule the entire continent.>
Arthurias:<That's one grand ambition they have there.>
Ross:<Weren't for the fact we have talented knights and magicians like Heracles Olympia and Medea Euripides, Asgard Empire might have invaded us already.>
Arthurias:<But still, I'm not the knight you wanted though.>
Ross:<Indeed but you are the knight that we needed especially Lucretia I know that you are a good man, I just know it.>
Arthurias:<Saying something like that, makes me feel bad if I reject you.....well since I already accepted your offer earlier anyway, I already made my pledge to be Princess Lucretia's Knight so there's no problem now right?.>
So I ended up being someone who is task to save this world and become a knight to this little girl, damn...It's still one and a half day since I got here and I'm already part of a bigger picture also I still don't know what my so called Divine Protection from the goddess is.
Arthurias looks at the little girls sleeping face, Is this how it feels to have a daughter? or am I just a lolicon? god what is happening to me?
Hours later they arrived on Ross-san's mansion, the mansion looks like a medieval castle except its filled with flowers and the most eye catching part is the clock tower.
Arthurias:<Ross-san what is that tower?>
Though Arthurias knows it's a clocktower but he asked anyways since it might have a more fantasy like name.
Ross:<The tower caught your eye?>
Arthurias:<Yeah.>
Ross:<That tower is called Library of Time, a fairy guards that place but even I can't enter that place recklessly without asking permission first.>
As we enter the mansion we are approached by three beastkins who looks like triplets. Ross-san then began to looks at me and smiled.
Ross:<Sir Arthurias Greywolf, I'll introduce myself once again....I am Bob Ross....The Marquise of this land.>
Arthurias was still carrying the sleeping Lucretia on his arms. He ended up staring at the old man who called himself marquise, he thought that what he is doing is bad since he didn't show any noble like courtesy since the start.
Arthurias:<aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..>
Ross:<Seeing your appearance, you are quite surprised, but no matter keep talking to me like you already have, no need for those noble etiquette.>
The three dogkin maids bowed respectfully to Ross-san then they look at me, and made the same gesture.
Ross:<You three introduce yourselves since he will be part of our camp now.>
???: Hello Arthurias-sama I am Kiel!
???: Hello Arthurias-sama I am Vher!
???: Hello Arthurias-sama I am Rose!
Arthurias:<That's kinda unique on introducing yourselves.....Kiel...Vher....and Rose?>
Kiel.Vher.Rose:<Yes! 3x>
Arthurias:<No need to add sama on my name rather just call me Art, since we are all in the same team better be friends.....I guess.>
Arthurias:<You too Ross-san just call me Art since we are a team now after all!>
Ross:<Then I won't hold myself back Art-dono.>
Arthurias:<By the way can we bring the little princess to her room, because it seems like she is dreaming about food and she is munching on my armour right now.>
The three maids guided Arthurias to Lucretia's room, He found her room very luxurious and ridiculously big. He then added some stuff toy to her room, the maids saw this and was surprised by the toys that appeared there, big and small stuff toys filled the entire room, the three maids began to look at Arthurias.
Arthurias:<What? You three want some stuff toys too?>
Kiel.Vher.Rose:<Yes! 3x>
Arthurias:<Alright pick whichever you want.>
It seems they are attracted to the human sized stuff toy, especially the wolf ones, as I remember that is the stuff toy version of my summoned wolves. Fenrir, Skoll and Hati. The three maids chose the human sized stuff toys and hugged it like they found the greatest treasure in the world.
I can see their tails wagging crazily. I looked back at Lucretia and placed a rabbit stuff toy next to her and she began to munch it.
Once they got they toys they wanted, the girls immediately went to their respective rooms, While I on the other hand stayed on Lucretia's room for a few minutes to arrange to toys neatly and make it more presentable.
I found the Wolf Knight stuff toy and a little girl stuff toy who is surprisingly looks like Lucretia. I placed them together near her.
Sometimes I question myself, why did I buy these toys back in the game? Oh yeah...they give buffs, attack and def buffs. Since the basic attribute stats are capped I bought lots of buff items from food to toys to any nonsense equipment like cars and exotic mounts.
