59 Chapter 55

AN: our internet provider keeps having maintenance and there's been blackouts in our area lately... So forgive me for the inconsistent upload. I'm trying. Can't really afford to keep loading my data. Soooo imma try to upload it as soon as I can.

ROBIN'S POV

We're on the way to Alaska, as you all already know, and am used to it by now, ya'll already know why. This time, we've all talked about it and have agreed that the one who's gonna turn Emmett is Isaac... Yes, it's risky, but ya'll are forgetting that I exist and I'll be present there, and so is everybody else from the Denali's. We'll be fine.

At first, Isaac wanted one of our cousins to do it, but Emmett wanted either me or Isaac to do it, he was so adamant about it, that we caved into his request... Well, it's his life on the line. Are any of you wondering what he did before he left his hometown? There was not much really, he just went to each of his siblings, letting them know that he was leaving for good, and to make it more believable and for him to not be questioned further, we all agreed for me and him to pretend to be lovers... The story was he fell head over heels for me at first sight and then when he got to know me more, we got closer and decided to be together, but since I couldn't stay because of my family, he decided to come back with me.

Either our acting was very convincing, or his family just didn't care much to fact-check or something. Emmett didn't care for their lackluster reactions since he has decided to leave this chapter of his life behind, but it got thinking about the canon Emmett's family situation, there wasn't much known about his family when he was human, but given how stoked he was about being a vamp and I don't remember any mention of him going back to check on them, maybe this was why? Well, I'm curious, but not to the point that I'll ask him about it when he clearly isn't up for sharing about that yet, if he wants to share, he'll share.

Were currently parked at the same diner me and Isaac visited on the way to the Denali's before I stabbed him with my dad's stuff, oh yeah, parked. We decided to take the long long way to travel, taking Emmett's bike with the side car... It took longer but it was like a fun adventure, and with Emmett shedding his humanity, it was a nice touch for his numbered days as a human.

Throughout the time we spent at the McCarty land and our journey, Emmett had started to try and learn sign language, and I'm not saying that he's stupid, but he is still human, with a normal human learning capacity and talent, so it has not progressed much, but we were able to communicate a bit, albeit hilariously through what we call °passion sign language° which is just making or expressing what we want to convey with our whole body, which is pretty much like a game of charades.

Why am I telling you this? Oh, it's because I just noticed a familiar couple passing by to enter the diner and with some change since the last time we saw them. A mischievous grin appeared on my face as I tapped Isaac and Emmett to get their attention. When I got them, I pointed to the unsuspecting couple to Isaac, which in turn made my best friend's eyes turn wide in surprise and amusement... And as expected... Emmett, a little confused and feeling a little left out, asked who they were. Which made my bestie's eyes shoot open and shake... He then looked at me with a warning look. Which of course, as his best friend, would...

Narc... Hehehe... I gave him an angelic look, a look that would convince the jury that I was innocent even tho I did the crime right in front of them... Which made Isaac's eyes widen further in horror and froze... He watched me tap Emmett, and then I started narrating how we encountered the couple before and did my best to tell him what Isaac's EXACT words were at the time. I watched as Emmett's facial expression turn from curious, jealous, pissed, and then lastly... Into a smiling face... He's definitely smiling, quite handsome for a human too, but Isaac was vibrating in fear beside us while looking at that smile...

As I watch Isaac scramble to explain himself... I thought °My work here is done°... Told you I'd get back at you... Hehehe we finally caught the attention of the couple, and I saw the look of recognition on their faces, well, it's pretty hard to forget us, we'll... Me... My appearance is pretty unique. I waved at them and surprisingly, the woman's face beamed in excitement, and then started to walk towards me... Oook weird... I watched them get closer and closer to me, and then...

"It's you!" the woman ran up to me, leaving her husband, and then held my hands. "You brought us closer together and here we are now! Having our first baby! It's a long story, but you're our angel! Oh my God, this must be a sign dear!" she looked back and asked her husband. the woman was so energetic, and I was too confused with what was happening, and I couldn't even react or say anything...

"Now now honey, you're frightening our benefactor. But I think you're right dear... This is very much like fate." the husband agreed.

"You see, Angel... I'm about to give birth soon, but we're still trying to decide on a perfect name... But we can't seem to pick one. So we prayed and prayed for help. It's silly to bother the God almighty for this, but we wanted our child's name to be perfect." the woman explained.

Soooo, not gonna ask for my name huh? Well, it kinda is my name... Well part of the meaning of my middle name, so I'll let it go. I don't wanna share it anyway. I just smiled at them for now. Which I think calmed them both down. But the twinkle in their eyes is still ever so bright.

I look over my companions but to my disappointment, they are a bit away from me at the moment and are still in a heated argu-...Ehem... Conversation... So I had no choice. With my attention back to the two unknown yet familiar humans, I smiled at them, then I pressed my right index finger to my lips, and then made a cross with my index fingers while shaking my head from left to right, indicating that I could not speak. The couple's eyes widen with the unexpected knowledge, but then their eyes soften, no doubt thinking how pitiful I am, which kinda pissed me off, but I erased that feeling since it's a normal reaction, and I have gotten used to it, besides, these people seem like good people.

"I'm so sorry, we didn't realize it, it must've been so awkward for you, suddenly being called out of nowhere and all, but I truly do believe that God has guided us back here to meet you... You see, Angel... we moved before I got pregnant, and had just come back now to visit, we're trying to travel as much as I possibly can, soon I'd be bedridden or they'd have to roll me over to get me from point A to point B... But who would've thought we'd meet you." the woman stated with a warm smile, she was complaining a bit, but her eyes told otherwise, she was very happy about her pregnancy. The husband was just watching over us nodding from time to time, agreeing to what his other half stated.

I furrowed my eyebrows playfully, smiling to assure them that it was ok... What do I do... I'm not exactly good with naming, Leo was a fluke... Uh... Naming someone is like giving them a tattoo, it's kind of permanent, so it has to have a deep meaning for them so they won't end up hating it... I don't know much about them, so no favorites... Ah! Parents! Their parents but which one... And they haven't told me the gender... Let's just choose the dad's father, so he has more reason to love the child, so the possibility of him going out to buy milk goes down a bit. I don't know what his father's name is, they can figure it out themselves.

I reach out my hand to the wife, palms up... of course the wife, why would I hold the husband's hand, that's disrespectful to the lady in front of me, plus I know how my appearance affects humans. My other hand gestured for her to place her palm on mine. When she did, I just smiled at her and then started to convey my advice, slowly tracing each letter on her palm, and she read out loud each letter (YOUR) then I pointed at her husband, then finished with (DAD NAME)...

"My husband's father's name?" the lady asked for confirmation, to which I nodded. And to my surprise, the pregnant woman chuckled, and so did the husband. "I'm sorry, I'm not laughing at you Angel, it's just, we've actually talked about this before, but my husband was being hard-headed regarding naming our child based on his pops name. But this confirms it... God works in mysterious ways huh" she added.

Oook, Your God ignores the pain and suffering of children, but has time to help you with this... Urgh... soooo... I don't know if I like him, I know God's exists, because... Duh! I'M THE PROOF. But yeah, I have a very different opinion about them now. I won't cancel them, but I'm gonna be on the fence with them. I don't know them personally to form a permanent opinion.

After a couple of more pleasantries, I gave an excuse so I and the couple could leave... I gave them a final wave of goodbye then I hooked my arms to Isaac's and Emmett's, who were now done with the petty lover's jealousy moments, one of the many many that they'll have in the future... I sat in the sidecar, as usual, Putting Leo's little box back on my lap. And off we goooo!

Unknown couple POV

As they watch the 3 people's figures slowly disappear from their sight, a small smile can be seen on their faces...

The husband held a hand against his wife's noticeably very pregnant belly, and she mimicked his action...

"Your name's going to be Elvis... Elvis Aaron Presley"

ROBIN'S POV

Emmett's transition was successful and normal... He bulked up, almost rivaling my bestie's build, but again, just almost, Isaac was still bigger, he also got a gift, very different and more powerful than his canon counterpart... we dubbed it, kinetic absorption, he stores energy from the attacks he receives, which is pretty OP... But it's a bit weak at first, especially for supernaturals... He needs to train a lot, maintaining and using the energy stored would require quite a bit of discipline, and he has to learn how to fight and defend himself better, have a stronger body, and have experience in fighting... So I lovingly had him join my and Isaac's training... Let's just say there was a lot of cracking, broken boulders and trees, cries for help, begging for release, and venom tears from the couple involved in my sweet and thoughtful education.

Well, I had to be sure to have my teachings ingrained in their very being so they keep at it even when I'm away, I don't want them to grow lax.

I wasn't able to meet with my coven, my family. But I did get to meet my children for a bit, which was fun, and that was why I stayed for longer than I intended, I wanted to leave almost as soon as Emmett turned because I was afraid to make the mistake of going for my cousins. Little devils kept whispering in my ear to do so, but some little angels told me not to, each side giving me valid reasons to go either way... But I chose the path of no future conflict.

So when my children were about to go, I decided to also go on another adventure, but this time, completely solo... Well, not really, because I'll have Leo with me. There were a lot of protests, a looooooot of protest, to the point that I had to fight all of them off, almost all of them, after I obliter-... Ehem set aside the younger vampires tired bodies, I reminded the older vampires about my gift, and how they should not worry about me if I really am in danger, they should know from the bond. This went on for a while, but obviously, they'll relent to my great and perfect self right?

So here I am, alone in some random forest, seriously it is random, I have not brought any map or stopped to ask around, I chose to walk and run on this journey, with my big old bag, which I modified to be able to be carried on my back or be wheeled by dragging it behind me. Because I have a big bag, lots of camping stuff.

"So what do you think Leo? It's just you and me... We've always been with other people... For some reason, I barely get left alone, and I barely was allowed to be unsupervised this time too... Ugh... What do they mean I'm too young to leave the nest alone! I'm 21 years old already! Well, I guess for the antiques, I am a baby..." I said while patting Leo's head gently with my index finger, to which he responded by nuzzling his head against it.

"my baby boy is too smart and sweet, huh, oh yes you are..." I cooed at him, thinking to myself that he was acting like a dog, but I wouldn't dare say that to him, not again, when I did in the past, he got mad and bit me.

"Where should we go first, I kinda want to visit a lot of places, maybe stay for a while in some, hopefully, I encounter some vampires... Preferably female ones... I'm not a sexist, Leo... Your mother is just tired of dealing with the advances of horny male vampires, I might end up killing them, and then I might have a Victoria situation at hand. I read in one fanfiction that one of the vampires Mc killed had a mate that could locate another vampire's mate, so he and the rest of his coven attacked the Mc's mate. I'm not saying that all me vampires are bad, my family is proof that there are good ones, and I'm also not saying that all female vampires are good, it's just that I'm more comfortable dealing with them... Because you know, who doesn't want to be with beauties?

After setting up the fire, I proceeded to set up my tent, mind you, this is a tent I designed and made with the help of my cousins and children since Isaac and Emmett were too busy fucking like bunnies. It was a design from the future I was at previously, not too big nor small, and the metal parts were strong and collapsible. Very convenient, I set up my cooking utensils and prepped the ingredients, which was a loooooooot of mead, I caught 4 rabbits earlier, drained them, and now I'm eating the meat to not waste it. I just skewered the meat after prepping it, rubbing premade combinations of dry seasonings, because I'm not a savage, I need flavor ok?

As I wait for my rabbit barbecue to cook... I looked up at the sky and just sat there with my boy, enjoying the silence.

"It feels kind of weird to be actually alone... But it's not too bad, I wish it'd stay this way for a while, peace and quiet you know, no trouble or added responsibilities... Aaaah this is the life..."

[AN: I see, you have not learned your lesson enough my little angel... Jinx 🤭]

Just as I said the last line, I sensed a presence coming my way... No, not my way, but my food. I stood up and poised myself, ready for battle, waiting for the sudden intruder who was aiming for my meat, how dare it tet to take what's mine.

[AN: could have used that possessiveness with your mate... Just saying 🤷😆]

I finally came face to face with the intruder, but when I saw who or what it was, saw its size, and smelled its scent, which differed from what its kind normally was or has... I quickly figured out what it was.

As it growled at me, baring its teeth at me, looking at me menacingly, ready to attack, it looked half-crazed at the moment, like it was barely holding control of its sanity.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT SHIFTER"

AN: Another chapter is done! I'm gonna do mini-time skips here and there from now on... But not too much, because I am planning to have Robin join some historical events...

So, Just a little rant, now I'm not one to judge others since I'm very much not perfect and I firmly believe that no one is, so we should all just mind our own business... But I have seen novels and comments that kinda irked me... Why are there still people who value women based on their 'Purity', yes, that... Being a virgin. Calling those who aren't as sloppy seconds and so on? Like seriously? In this day and age, you still judge women based on that... You must be on the way to becoming a mage, maidenless all these years, women not finding your misogynistic ass attractive, so you became salty enough to spout such garbage on the internet, hiding behind the screen, because, in reality, you want a virgin because you're too afraid to handle an experienced woman. After all, they'll know how shit you are in bed, and they'll see your micro peen. What? Freedom of speech? Psh... Then take this as my little freedom of speech too.
