Location Unknown.

Ranges of mountains after snow-capped mountains, one after the other huge and enormous, was the only thing that could be seen.

However, the most curious of them was undoubtedly a mountain that seemed to have been cut in half in it a man was sitting on the cold ground he was meditating, it seemed that nothing could affect him in that state, not even the snow that fell constantly on his clothes.

After a few moments Henri Ducard slowly opened his eyes only to see a male figure, the new man was wearing a green combat suit and holding a battle staff in his hand.

His clothing was in sharp contrast to Ducard's black clothing and his sword

Ducard just took his sword and rose from his position: "What is the reason for this visit my old friend?" he asked calmly.

"Three elite members of The Hand were killed a few days ago, it was not something we would do, so only you would dare to go against them" he declared with certainty.

Ducard was already expecting that fact, his old friends would not stay quiet once they knew the news: "It wasn't me," he said simply and plainly.

"There is no need to lie, you and your League are the only ones who have dared to go against The Hand directly," before Ducard could say anything else he was cut off by the man in the green suit.

"Yes, I did it because the Chaste never had the courage to confront them," he suddenly exclaimed: "No matter how much time passed they preferred to hide and were only satisfied with small achievements," Ducard said in a deadly tone.

Silence fell on the mountain once again, both men did not speak: "You know The Hand won't support your actions for too long, don't you? There have been whispers, rumors that they were preparing for something big and that will certainly be bad news for our people" the man in green said being the first to speak.

"When that day arrives I will be ready," he mentioned frankly: "No matter what happens I will survive everything and if I have to die then it will be with my head raised up," he declared.

"Listen to me Stick, just as you have your successor, I have mine," he finished saying and this time the man called Stick did not mention anything, after a few minutes he simply turned around and began to descend from the mountain.

Some time later a woman dressed in combat dress appeared before Ducard: "Why did you lie to him?" she asked quickly.

"At no moment of the conversation I lied" answered Ducard.

"You said that you had a successor, when you don't have one" explained the woman in a better way.

"Oh, of course I do, you know him" he mentioned with a mysterious smile.

"However, you need to warn the others that The Hand could start a counterattack" he suddenly commented.

"Do you believe in his words?" asked the woman: "No, I believe in his ears and if he says that he heard something then it is true" he answered her before placing himself again in the same position before Stick arrived.

The woman only stayed a few seconds in her position and then simply disappeared, she had a new task to do.

New York.

Norman was currently in Dr. Connors' laboratory, he had been coming in every day of the week for the past week.

The research had progressed by giant steps with Norman's intellect combined with Curtis' and even Gwen's, they had begun to have greater results than in all the previous months.

"Are you really sure about this?" Stacy's worried voice resounded throughout the entire laboratory.

"I'm 90% sure," answered Norman. "What about the remaining 10%?" this time the question came from Dr. Curtis.

Norman just looked at him for a second: "You don't really want to know" he answered with sincerity.

Currently, they were in the first time they would test the serum in a living being, according to all their data and simulations they had done the test should be a complete success, that was the theory, however in practice it could be very different.

The experimental subject was a little kitty that had lost one of his limbs, the reason for Stacy's concern was because it was her pet, so if things went wrong it would undoubtedly be a complete disaster.

"Is it too late to have regrets?" Stacy asked the two men who only looked at each other: "All right, take your cat" mentioned the Osborn when he saw the almost teary eyes of the blonde.

The Stacy didn't take too long to take her pet and quickly began to apologize.

"But how we will be able to test the serum now," said Curtis.

"At the moment I don't know, I could try to take the case to the medical authorities, but it is very probably that it will be rejected in a direct way" mentioned Osborn.

"Things have become more complicated" added Dr. Curtis while he gave a sigh of resignation.

"I think, it would be possible to do a test directly on a person" Gwen's voice interrupted the two men's thoughts: "It is not possible, before being able to have an authorization to do a test on humans, there are too many protocols needed, among them is the experimentation on animals" commented Curtis.

"That is usually the case," nodded the Stacy, still holding her cat in her arms: "However if the person was a volunteer there would be no such restriction, of course we would still have to follow most of the established laws, but it can be applied in a straightforward way" she continued.

"Is that true?" asked Curtis, and Norman just shrugged his shoulders at not having an answer: "How do you know about that, Miss Stacy?" asked the Osborn.

"Well, one of my professors talked about it some time ago, and I got so interested that I started to investigate it on my own, in the end I found this kind of legal loophole, but I never thought it would be useful" she explained in a simple way.

"I will investigate about that fact and I will make the Corporation's lawyers do it too, if it is still something valid then it could be our solution," Norman finished saying.

After those words the three people continued working on the serum, if what Gwen said was true then they had to make sure that their investigation was correct.

"See you tomorrow, Mr. Osborn," the Stacy said goodbye, since it was her time to leave, and although she could perfectly well stay to help, Norman never asked her to do it, in the first place he considered that he had to rest to be able to have a good performance at the university, in the second place he preferred to be alone.

"See you tomorrow, Miss Stacy," said the Osborn and shortly after he could see how the young blonde girl left the laboratory.

"She's a nice young lady, isn't she?" asked the Curtis who seemed ready to leave just like the blonde: "Yes, she is," he commented frankly, since he found no need to lie.

"Take care on your way home Mr. Osborn," mentioned the Connors by way of a goodbye: "Likewise Doctor, be very careful," he replied, and it didn't take long to hear the man's departure.

It was only after Norman confirmed that no one had returned that he calmed down and began to do what was really his purpose.

At the same time he was working with Gwen and Curtis to make a serum to regenerate lost limbs he was also trying to control for lack of a better word the original Connors Formula, Dr. Curtis thought he had destroyed all the samples, but it was not true he kept one to try to neutralize the madness and aggressiveness of the sample and in that way have access to the powers of The Lizard without any of its collateral effects.

For the moment he had been able to control the aggressiveness of the sample, but he did not know for sure if that also eliminated the madness.

The next problem was that the simulations showed that even after all his work the person's DNA continued to mutate until it had a greater part of reptilian genes.

So despite his small achievement it was still very risky to try to use him as a test subject.

He just hoped he could find a quick solution before something happened.

Somewhere in New York.

The place was one of the many towers in the city, on the highest floor a meeting was taking place between various men however the room was too dark to see anything more than silhouettes: "Are you sure about this information?" a husky and deep voice was heard.

A thin man just nodded his head nervously: "You can leave if the information is correct then you will be rewarded, if it is not then you know what will happen" he made it clear and the man just nodded before practically running out of the room.

"So the next target is Oscorp?" asked another voice, "That's obvious, just imagine the power we would have with that serum in our hands" answered another.

"What should we do?" asked a voice a little more mature than the other two: "We are not sure if the information is accurate, but we cannot ignore something like this" the first voice spoke, making everyone keep silent.

"Contact Walter and mention to him that I have a job for him" he commanded and after that the room was silent again.
