[Topic]: [Jacques Schnee Retired??]

+++++

[Lisa Lavender](Original Poster)

In a turn of events since the latest Schnee news, there is even more shocking news. Stunning the whole of Remnant, Jacques Schnee has officially stepped down as the CEO of the Schnee Dust Company, leaving the position to his son, Wynne Schnee.

The young Schnee previously made waves after opening his own branch in the SDC and is now officially the CEO of the company, making him the youngest CEO in the history of Remnant.

What could have prompted this sudden change in management? What will happen to Jacques and what does this mean for the SDC?

Is this for real?

Can someone tell me if this is a prank because I'm having trouble believing it.

-[Afroking]

(Replied)

Seems legit. Oh well, Atlas is doomed now that some brat is in charge of THE LARGEST DUST MINING COMPANY IN THE WORLD.

-[TheNeutralEvil]

(Replied)

Need some peanut butter with all that jelly?

-[IAmYou]

(Replied)

He's got a point. He's still a kid. I can see at least six different ways Atlas will be f*cked by next week.

This is your second warning @IAmYou. One more strike and your account will be banned. Again.

-[HeroOfMantle](Verified Huntress)

(Replied)

Are we really going to sit back and watch a child run the SDC?

The people in Mantle already had enough problems to take care of without having to worry about a temperamental kid.

Someone needs to do something before it's too late.

-[Bruh]

(Replied)

If you want to jump his bone so badly just say so. No need to be all dramatic about it. We won't judge you…probably…

-[SunnyDragon]

(Replied)

Ha! Good one. It's like she's camping out on every site that mentions him.

-[Audacity]

(Replied)

I guess this is my sign to move out of atlas. Been nice not knowing you all.

Predictably, Jacques had made the choice of transferring every ounce of power he possessed in the SDC to him and the media was buzzing.

There were a lot of people saying how Atlas and Remnant as a whole was doomed but he couldn't fault them for thinking that.

The SDC supplied dust to all the kingdoms and it was also responsible for supplying huntsmen and huntresses with dust. Because of that, it held a great deal of power, especially in Atlas where almost everything was constantly running on dust.

He didn't bother responding to those negative cries, he had more important matters to attend to. One of which was the current one he was about to walk into.

An emergency meeting was called at the SDC with its board of executives and its new CEO.

He made his way through the SDC building and towards the meeting room. Upon opening the door, he was met with a number of men and women seated at a table with the seat at the head of the table empty.

Under the greedy and baleful eyes of the occupants of the room, he casually moved past them, taking the seat.

He took a moment to observe them and their poorly hidden greed before speaking. "Thank you for coming here on such notice. I promise you this won't take long."

An older man shook his head at that. "No problem at all. Just one thing. We're all curious as to what happened to your father. We haven't been able to reach him."

Wynne put on a sad face. "Unfortunately my father has some personal issues he needs to resolve at the moment and has decided to step out of the public eye."

All lies. Jacques was under house arrest in one of the guest rooms that had been striped to only a bed in it. He had the robot he put together guarding the door to make sure the man didn't attempt to escape.

As much as he wanted to permanently get rid of him now, it was too early to do so. Jacques had no access to a scroll or anything more advanced than a hair brush to contact the outside world.

If he tried to escape…accidents happen.

The older man coughed into his palm. "I see."

"Now onto more important matters, our agenda today to discuss how this company is going to operate moving forward." Wynne said as a woman raised her hand.

"I hate to interrupt but on that topic, I would like to offer a suggestion." She said, causing Wynne to raise a brow.

"Well then, let's hear it."

She cleared her throat before speaking. "With all due respect, there's still a few months before turn 18. I think it would be best for the SDC if one of the more experienced board members acts as the CEO while you take the time to get more prepared to take on this daunting role." She said as if she was doing him a favor.

What she said and what her eyes said were two different things entirely. That was the same with the other board members who were murmuring in agreement.

He let out a chuckle of amusement. "That's an interesting proposal, Mrs Goldstein. Quite interesting indeed." He said, unnerving her slightly at his accurate knowledge of her name and face.

"Does everyone here agree to this proposal or does anyone have a different proposal to put forward?" He asked.

His manner of speech made them think that he was actually considering it, and so they made their thoughts known.

"I believe it's a great idea. By the time you return to take over the position, you would be adequately qualified to be as good a businessman as your father." Another man said in agreement to Mrs Goldstein's words.

One by one they began audibly agreeing, attempting to pressure him into thinking it was the right option.

"I see. In that case, allow me to put my own proposal on the table." He said, placing his scroll on the table.

Tapping the screen, the table's holographic projection function was activated as photos, videos and other files were displayed for them to see.

"I believe you all know what these are." He said, taking pride in watching their faces shrivel in terror.

Seeing their stunned expression, he smirked, ignoring their silence. "Now, my proposal is simple. Turn over all assets that you possess and/or have received from the SDC, shares included, and this doesn't go public."

There was silence as they digested what was happening, the man who spoke first shooting to his feet, obviously disgruntled.

"What is the meaning of this?! You're trying to blackmail us?!" He screamed.

The woman followed next, screaming. "This is outrageous! Just wait till the media hears about this!"

Unlike their bursts of anger, Wynne sat calmly in his seat. "The media won't hear anything." He interacted with his scroll as a document was projected.

"What is this?" A man asked in confusion.

"This is the document showing a compilation of businesses I purchased in the last few hours. Let me save you the time it'll take you to read it all, I now own all the news companies in Atlas." Wynne said, causing them to freeze in fear as he turned to face the man who asked the question.

"Cassius Herman. Drug smuggling, Rape, human trafficking, tax evasion, purchasing of contraband goods." As the man's face paled, he turned to the woman who had been the most outspoken.

"Gabrielle Goldstein. Faunus trafficking, Blackmail, weapons smuggling, illegal purchasing of military equipment, hiring mercenaries to take out some of your more successful competition." He continued until he had listed each of their names and the crimes they had committed.

By the time he was done, even his pale complexion looked healthier than theirs.

"The news will say what I want them to say. All it takes is the press of a button and it all goes out there. I can even add some more offenses to spice up your record. If by some stream of luck, you evade going to jail, I can guarantee you that your lives will be completely over." He said, stopping the projection and pocketing his scroll.

Mrs Goldstein, Cassius and the others had taken their seats and were firmly rooted. He had after all just shown that he had the power to ruin them if he wished.

Pushing the pile of documents he walked in with to each of them, he showed a calm smile. "Does anyone have any objections?" He asked.

Without wasting time, they all shook their heads to deny it, causing his smile to grow as they signed it all in record time.

As they passed it to him, he looked through them to make sure they didn't miss anything or try to dupe him…not that they had the courage to with what he just displayed.

Carefully organizing the papers, he faced them as he stood to his feet. "I expect you off the premises within the hour and all the assets to be transferred over the next. It was a pleasure doing business with you all." He said as he exited the room.
