Introduction

I wake up floating in a void with no recollection of how I got there.

"What is this place?" My voice seems to echo on forever, but suddenly the electronic voice of a woman enters my head.

[You have died. Orochi Hanma.....]

"Seriously, Another Reincarnation? just let me die!"

[Reincarnation *beep* commencing]

"I would rather not.." I didn't want to be reincarnated, I wasn't a fan of the genre in the first place.. but to actually do it...No freakin way!

[Analyzing memories...

10% complete...please relax]

This distorted voice is starting to creep me out, but how did I die? Nothing seemed off about me or anyone else. "Hey , weird voice thing!? How did i die?".

[20% complete....please relax]

I swear the voice sounded way more menacing this time around , it almost made me jump but I didn't have my body, so all I could do was accept my fate.

I'm not gonna sit here and take this screw that!

"I reaaaalllyyy dont want to become a living Reincarnation genre, screw this!!"

But before I could open my mouth the void filled with light, this void is much brighter than the one before.

I was embarrassed to admit it , but the voice was correct. I assumed my mind was already entirely probed and these were my most impressive feats. "Haha, Wow that must mean being a virgin is cool huh?".

This simple answer made my cheeks burn with shyness, and honestly made me a little mad. But i decided to continue my small talk with this strange voice. "I sort of walked right into that one."

I feel a burst of energy from within, this is actually starting to sound exciting. Who would've thought that Reincarnation was actually similar to some of the stories that my friends were into. "Screw it! Let's see what you have in store for me....ummm what's your name again?"

The voice leaves me in silence, leaving me to slowly drift out of consciousness to welcome my fresh body, and the land I would be living out my new life in.

I suddenly awaken, finding my self Inside a small shack in a unfamiliar bed. it feels like I've slept for hundreds of years "The air smells so fresh, almost like there is no pollution", The air in my hometown was always so dry and musty because of all of the cars. I've gotten used to this smell and didn't realize what I was missing out on. The sound of the birds outside was refreshing. I suddenly I get an idea "I should go see what I look like now!"

"Hi!! I will be your guide."

A girls voice exclaims excitedly, almost scaring me to death "What the hell! who are you?". I search the room for the source of the voice until I lock eyes with serious looking women, she has a mature beauty to her, the perfect chin and nose, with eyes as bright as diamonds, the same color too. Her smile makes me blush "Y-your voice doesn't match at all!". Oops I shouldnt have said that I thought as I covered my mouth with both hands.

"So, can you tell me where I am? Since you say you're a guide, I figure you can fill me in on some details." She looks at me with a confused look, wondering why I don't even know where I am but suddenly she smiles after a couple more quick glances and begins to explain. "You are in the country of Atena, 50 miles away from the great lords kingdom, but you already knew that...well you should have, you're weirding me out Hanma" She still looks confused despite her smile, maybe I should just play along. "I'm sorry, I'm just forgetful sometimes, nothing to worry about here".

My expression must not have been very convincing because she doesn't look convinced one bit, more like amused at my ignorance. I'm not sure if I should tell her that I just arrived here, there is an uneasy gut feeling that I can't shake, there's someone weird about this woman. *sigh* Oh well, and I shrug before searching my small room for a mirror.

"Yes! I found one, now let's see what I look like." grasping the small mirror in my hand I slowly lift it up to take a look, anticipating my new looks. when I catch a glimpse of my Visage my jaw drops, "I look like a badass!!". I have a dark serious face , the face of a 20 year old with a native american'esque face tattoos, and a large scar running down the left side of my face and my eyes are a deep red.

The guide is staring at me as I fanboy about my awesomeness, bewildered by my careless behavior.

After a while she genuinely laughs, obviously amused by something. "Master if you're done playing around we have some business to take care of." she draws a katana with one hand and a small handaxe with the other.

I feel my hands move instinctually to perform a incantation and summon a sword to defend myself. "Wait how did I do that" I feel the muscles of my right arm, and they felt like steel. "That goddess mentioned my abilities earlier, could this be ....my minor skill basic incantation!?" I recalled bits and pieces of what I was told by the grand goddess, *tsk damn my forgetfulness.

The guide stands there ready for battle so I take a battle stance , "Bring it on!".
