Who are you? Where is Kurama? (2/2)

In the early morning, a kid could be seen doing pushups along the river shore. Anyone could tell that he was hurt, but he didn't waver and kept doing it again and again. But the odd thing was that his wounds were healing at a visible rate. After some time, as he finally got tired, he went towards a boulder and leaned on it.

*Huff* *Huff* *Huff*

He was none other than Naruto Uzumaki, Jinchuriki of the Nine Tails.

"It seems my blood really could heal any scar or injury," Naruto said while looking at his flawless hands. "It's really convenient to have the heal bite ability."

[[[ Scene pause ]]]

There was a particular reason for his training. It was to get stronger as fast as possible so he would never feel weak again.

Naruto always thought he would be invincible because he had nine tails chakra and six-paths chakra. It was true. It would be tough to harm him. But he never noticed that he also had to have the ability to protect his loved ones and friends.

Although Naruto knew the Uchiha massacre would happen at some point, he never knew the date. But he had no choice but to keep the information to himself because he would endanger others if it was divulged.

So when the night of the incident finally came, he was helpless and could only let them be killed. Even if he went to help them, he would be changing many things, which in the long term could have very adverse effects in the future.

Let's say Naruto gets disguised as another person and kills Itachi. And make Obito retreat?

Then Obito would just come with a more considerable force to Konoha to eradicate the hidden threat, as it would be detrimental to their plan.

What if he manipulates Pain/Nagato to come early? Would he be able to protect anyone, then?

Would he even be able to make Obito retreat, as he still doesn't have access to any space-related dojutsu? What if Obito traps him in his dimension?

Even if he did get out of the dimension using six-paths chakra somehow, would the Uchihas still be alive then?

There were so many "IF's" that Naruto couldn't count. The only possible solution was to kill everyone together. Including Pain, Konan, Madara, Obito, Hiruzen, Danzo, and the list goes on and on.

It was either to kill everyone or do nothing. At that point, Naruto was not sufficiently powerful yet to enact a plan to eradicate or suppress all enemies. He still had a long way to go. More importantly, he didn't even know where some people were.

It would be a lie to say that he really cared about any Uchiha. Even if he cared about someone, he was only Sasuke. Naruto really tried to find a way to make him escape the painful past he had endured in the former timeline. But in the end, it was no use.

So that day, he promised himself that he would work hard on improving himself so as not to leave any regrets.

[[[ Scene resume ]]]

"Haven't you worked hard enough?" Kurama asked Naruto with a concerned voice. "Why don't you go meet your friends?"

Kurama knew that if this continued, he would be power-hungry and, in the end, would probably even abandon what he deemed important.

{I got the reference from Darth Vader because all he wanted was to protect what he loved, but what happened was the opposite.}

As Kurama had grown to care for the boy, he couldn't let him become something like that. After pondering for a while, Kurama made a decision.

"Naruto, could you use your disguising ability to make us invisible in this area?"

He was startled by the sudden question.

"What do you mean by us?"

"Just do it. Also, don't resist if a chakra thread comes out of the seal, okay?"

Then Naruto waved his hand, making him and the individuals who came near him invisible to the outside. He still couldn't understand what Kurama was trying to do. But he still entertained his idea.

Then, all of a sudden, he felt the chakra thread Kurama mentioned coming out of his body. When Naruto looked at it, he saw a figure being made at the end of it. After a while, a beautiful naked female nine-tailed fox appeared in front of Naruto.

Naruto's eyeballs almost came out of their sockets, seeing such a sight without warning.

"Kurama, Is that you?"

He asked while looking at the female fox with unsure eyes. But I can assure you that he didn't look at her face.

"Mmm… Hmm.. not Kurama but rather Kitsune."

The female nine-tailed fox answered Naruto while fully displaying her glorious body.

Her body was in perfect proportion, highlighting her curves. She had two cute fox ears. In addition, nine tails emerged from the back of her hips. From head to toe, she was coloured primarily red with some white shading, giving her fur a unique touch. She had fair skin and looked otherworldly.

Last but not least, her ample breasts and perfectly shaved pussy which was covered by her lower lips. Naruto had a hard time controlling himself while looking at her body. She could be described by just one word: seductress. His throat had dried up, and he had a hard time even swallowing his saliva.

But Naruto didn't have to endure it for long since Kitsune made herself some clothes as she waved her hand. She greatly resembled a female nine-tailed fox in Japanese culture. Her kimono also didn't deny the claim.

"I think that's enough looking."

Kitsune said while making Naruto come out of his stupor.

"But how? What happened to Kurama?"

Naruto questioned her, as he was still perplexed about the whole situation.

"Would you just calm down for a moment, brat?"

Seeing Naruto calm down, she continued:

"You are the first to hear this story, so listen closely. When my siblings and I were created, we didn't have a gender. We were pure energy, so we really didn't need to. All my siblings decided to keep living in their original form, but I wanted something different. I wanted to try living like a human does.

So I transformed into a human-fox girl and disguised myself to live among the people. But as the generations passed, I never got old. One day, someone saw my fox-tails due to a mistake I had made. After that, everyone attributed me to being a monster and spread baseless rumours that I seduce men and kill them at night."

"That's a lot to take in. But others didn't believe those rumours without any evidence, right?"

Naruto asked with a pondering expression still confused from the current situation.

"Haha, that's the funny thing. Many people tried to use that reason to use me by intimidating me. No matter where I went, the same thing happened. So after some dozen of decades, I finally decided to transform into my original appearance, and I assumed a male persona, leaving my past human name Kitsune behind."

Naruto was really surprised by this turn of events. Who would've thought that Kurama was a girl at first? He couldn't just wrap his head around it.

"But why are you telling me all this?"

Hearing this, Kitsune was stuck in her place. But she decided to be truthful at last. 'Just this one time,' she thought.

"I just wanted to be there for you. You don't have to do this all alone, you know."

Naruto was touched by how much Kurama—or rather, Kitsune cared about him. So he also answered truthfully because although he seemed to have all the power, he was stressed from facing it alone. He simply needed to lean on someone.

"Thank you, Kitsune." He flashed a little smile.

*Bonk*

He suddenly fell down, getting his head bonked by Kitsune.

"Sentimental time is over. Now get to work, brat"

Kitsune changed from a kind woman to a rude one in the blink of an eye, destroying the image Naruto had built about her.

However, Naruto didn't care much about it and began his arduous training again. But he felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders, knowing that someone was there for him. Seeing his change of expression, Kitsune felt happy inside but didn't outright show it since she had to maintain her image.

After all the time spent together teaching and talking with him, it couldn't be denied that Kitsune had started to care for Naruto.

But unbeknownst to Kitsune, that care would turn into something more over the years—something she had never felt before.

Would she accept it?

Would she deny it?

Only time will tell.
