3 Meeting Angry Kurama

{Dear readers, I am being bullied by a virus. Send me your blessings through the vast open seas. That's it. Thanks for reading.}

Edit - {Also I have transitioned from using the name Dave to Naruto in the 4th chapter!}

It took a while for Dave to calm down after the sudden scare from Kurama. He then sat in a lotus position and removed his shirt. He could clearly see the Eight Trigram Divination Seal Spell Formula etched into his stomach.

{Picture of the seal here}

If he had not known any better, he would definitely think this must be a tattoo or something. Well, technically, it is a tattoo. However, there is a plot twist: inside, that is a monstrous beast who can crush you to a paste.

It would be a lie if he said he was not fascinated by it. How powerful should it be for it to imprison Nine Tails, one of the strongest beings in Naruto's world with enormous chakra reserves? Dave was incredibly impressed with Uzumakis for creating such a complex seal.

But he knew it was the very reason they got conspired against by other villages and finally destroyed. Even Konoha, with whom Uzumakis' cooperated, turned a blind eye to it. Now only ruins could be found on the Uzumaki clan's land.

This only furthered his belief in getting strong. Being secretive about it is also vital. Otherwise, he would also be a part of Uzumaki history sooner or later. He had no plans to be forgotten in history yet.

<Dave/Naruto Pov>

I moved my hand around the deep black seal. Surprisingly, I couldn't feel anything while hovering over it. It was perfectly printed without leaving any dents behind in my body.

I always wondered how the people in Naruto placed seals. I mean, how do they just appear out of nowhere? I guess that the chakra materializes to form the seal on a specific surface. Well, I'm in no place to take shots at something extremely complex, even without knowing the first thing about chakra. After examining the seal for a while, I closed my eyes. Following that, I concentrated my mind on the Eighth Trigram Seal.

When I finally opened my eyes, I found myself on a wet floor in the same lotus position. To be exact, I was in a pitch-black tunnel extending up to a bright, rectangular entrance. Then I stood up and went towards the bright light.

*tap* *tap* *tap* *tap*

My steps produced a distinct sound of clashing with the water repeatedly. I swear to god that I remembered the pennywise clown every step of the way. The dark tunnel and wet floor, including the silent atmosphere, scream IT's name.

{Did you see what I did there? LOL}

For fucks sake, why is this tunnel so long? That was my thought along the way.

At last, I stepped into the bright space. What greeted me was a large hall with a large metal gate at its end. I could see a red figure lurking inside it. Without a doubt, I knew it was Kurama.

As I was walking towards the gate, two red eyes swiftly opened, startling me. They were overflowing with hatred. After calming down, I slowly reached the metal gateway. I saw another complex seal pretty similar to the one I had in my stomach stuck to the gate. It was two or three meters above me. Now Kurama and I were looking at each other. No words were spoken between us.

<Pov End>

"Brat, who gave you the guts to come here?"

Kurama spoke with an angry look after staring for a while. He looked like he was ready to tear me apart at any moment.

"I came here because I want to, nine-tails."

I said while provoking him. Kurama will never listen to me if I am passive, so I decided to take a more aggressive approach.

"Hahaha, a brat who hasn't even grown his hair dared to talk to me like that?"

Kurama gave a sinister glare. But this really hit Dave. Not because of the glare but because his pride as a man was hurt. Who could he blame? He was merely five years old now.

"I'm sorry. Okay?"

Dave quickly changed his tone, seeing that his method did not work. He also decided to cultivate the dao of shamelessness, as every other protagonist does. But it didn't work the way he wanted.

Kurama was speechless and furious at the same time. Overcome by sudden anger, he directed a red chakra burst toward Dave. It was not to the point of killing, as it would force Kurama to start over from scratch when he came into being again.

But with the help of his 'chakra control," Dave perfectly avoided it. At least, that's what he thought. Dave, for a moment, forgot that Naruto's body was only five years old. So due to his body not being able to keep up with his movements, he lost his balance. Seeing the red chakra coming at him, Dave braced himself for the impact.

Just as the chakra was about to hit him, his own chakra was released like a flood. Since he had the bloodline of Ōtsutsuki, his chakra nature was vastly similar to Hagoromo and Hamura.

Kurama, as a being made of chakra, could without a doubt identify its nature. This made him recall many distant memories from 1,000 years ago. Kurama could never forget the smile of his old man, Hagoromo Otsutsuki.

Like a broken dam, the feelings hidden in his facade of rage started to come out. He just couldn't hate the human in front of him.

"Boy, how do you have that chakra?"

Dave came out of his stupor and looked at Kurama. He decided not to indulge Kurama with any information and to only do it after he was confident.

"Isn't this what everyone has?"

Dave didn't have a problem with lying through his teeth because of his disguising ability. He could perfectly mask his emotions and expressions.

Seeing his innocent look, Kurama was not sure what to ask.

"Nevermind, just tell me what you came here for, boy."

"I want to learn from you."

Dave said with eyes filled with excitement. He was not acting; he really wanted to learn more about the world. Even Kurama was taken aback by his reply. This was the second time someone spoke to him without any discrimination in their eyes after his old man.

He then fell into thought while looking at Dave's face. 'Maybe he would be able to free all the tailed beasts.' Kurama had a deep look in his eyes. After much contemplation, he finally decided to take a leap of faith. Primarily because of how similar Dave's presence was to Hagoromo's.

"Okay, brat. I will teach you. But you have to promise me something."

Kuruma said while looking at Dave with a solemn look.

"What do you want me to promise you, nine-tails?"

Kurama corrected him, "Not nine tails you brat, Kurama. Call me Kurama."

After that exchange, he and Dave talked for a while. Kurama told Dave that he wanted to free his brothers and sisters from the grasp of greedy villages and unite with them again. In exchange, he promised to consider Dave, his brother, and live with him until his life ended.

Of course, Dave agreed without a second thought. Who would say no to a shortcut to power?

{ Tail beasts for your reference;

One-Tails – Shukaku

Two-Tails – Matatabi

Three-Tails – Isobu

Four-Tails - Son Goku

Five-Tails – Kokuo

Six-Tails – Saiken

Seven-Tails – Chomei

Eight-Tails – Gyuki

Nine-Tails - Kurama }

From the storyline, Dave knew how the villages exploited tailed beasts for their own gain. But he was not a hypocrite to blame them since he was also a symbol of that. A Jinchuriki. He also needed the power of tailed beasts for his goals: to have power unmatched by anyone and live a regret-free life.

"Goodbye Kurama, See you tomorrow."

Dave said while waving at Kurama. He had difficulty believing that the red fox in front was the vengeful, bloodthirsty beast shown at the start of the Naruto series.

"I guess everyone needs someone who understands them in their life." Dave thought to himself.

"Goodbye to you too, brat; don't forget our promise."

Just then, everything around Dave started turning illusory. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself back in his messy apartment. Having gotten Kurama's help, Dave knew that now he had to work hard to achieve his dreams and change the life of Naruto for the better. He was excited for the days to come.
