Going To Academy (2/2)

Naruto walked towards the crowd and stood beside Hinata. "Good morning," he spoke softly into her ears as he walked towards Sasuke, who was in the front.

"G-good morning, Naruto-kun," Hinata whispered with a flushed face as she looked at Naruto's back.

'Is this what people call a Dandere?'

Naruto had a smile on his face as he heard it loud and clear due to his heightened senses.

After manoeuvring throughout the crowd, he finally reached Sasuke. He looked the same as he had in the former part of his memory, minus the cold attitude. As of now, the relationship between them could be considered a friendly rivalry.

"Hey, Sasuke, ready to get defeated again?" Naruto taunted him.

"Ha, stop dreaming," Sasuke looked away, not giving in to Naruto's remarks.

'I need to get stronger than this, so my brother finally acknowledges me,' Sasuke thought to himself silently, clenching his right hand. 'I want to be the best ninja Uchiha has ever seen.'

All of a sudden, his internal speech was broken by Iruka Umino, who summoned all the students to the target practice area. In the practice area, there were many dummies as well as wooden circular targets with bullseyes painted on them.

Iruka took a deep breath, looked at the students who were still bickering with each other, and let out a sigh. 'How am I going to make these kids into responsible ninjas?' he thought.

*Clap* *Clap*

"Give your attention here, please."

After everyone went silent, he continued: "Today we are going to practice kunai throwing. So look closely."

Then he took several black kunai from the portable pouch tied to his left leg. They had a dull lustre, and a small leaf village mark could be seen in the handle.

Naruto wondered why it had a dull appearance, but then it suddenly clicked.

'Oooh, right' -He snapped his fingers- 'to hide it from other ninjas' detection.'

Following that, Iruka threw his kunai at different targets. All of them were hits in the bullseye. It was not precisely in the middle. But it was pretty close.

Naruto looked at the kunai with glimmering eyes. 'If I just had money to buy one,' he thought. 'But it doesn't matter; I will get one in the academy anyway.'

Afterwards, everyone took turns throwing the kunai. The most notable ones were Sasuke and Naruto. Sasuke's aim was exceptional, but Naruto was not far behind either. He used all the training from Kurama to make it hit in the middle. They weren't as accurate as Suske, but he was still outstanding for his age.

Iruka was proud that he had two genius students. At the same time, Hiruzen also paid attention to the development of both Naruto and Sasuke. Last but not least, Danzo also noticed them both.

<Naruto's Pov>

Today's kunai training went pretty well.

Although I wasn't as good as Sasuke, I still managed to aim pretty closely at Sasuke's kunai. Knowing that I could do it without any training only confirmed how much my senses had improved.

It's wonderful to have your own personal trainer available 24/7. Haha.

More importantly, I knew very well that doing this might attract the attention of the higher-ups in the village. But I didn't care much about it, as it is better to gradually show them rather than make them suspicious by hiding it.

After waiting for an opportune moment, I also decided to reveal only my byakugan. That is after I activate it, of course. But only when I am at least 12 or 13 years old, since at that time, I will have the ability to perfectly resist anyone so as not to be used by them. Well, that's for later.

"What happened, Narutooo?"

"Were your hands shivering when throwing the kunai?" Sasuke came toward Naruto and made fun of him.

Then Naruto rolled his eyes and looked at him while smiling. "But not for long, hehe."

Urked by Naruto's smile, he just went as he came without looking at him again. But if anyone looked close enough, they could see Sasuke's curled-up lips. Without a doubt, he really enjoyed his victory over his rival.

'I'm going to tell my brother I won against Naruto.' That was his thought along the way.

Naruto then had a little chat with everyone before departing, including Hinata, who squirmed the whole time.

All in all, it was an excellent day for Naruto.

To make it even better, Naruto didn't forget to stop by Ichiraku Ramen as always, since he was a loyal customer. Unsurprisingly, the ramen was good, as always.

He also met Tenten along the way. Naruto was a bit sad that Tenten was in a higher class than him because he couldn't meet her much. They talked for a long time, recounting what had happened in their lives before taking their leave.

Furthermore, Naruto was happy to learn that she was getting into Fūinjutsu and Bukijutsu after the hints given by him. However, she was still adamant about being like Tsunade. So Naruto could only let time take its course.

After reaching home, he finally returned to learning from Kurama again. He just wanted to learn some jutsu; however, Kurama forced him to study many seals from the Uzumaki clan. Kurama knew very well how powerful they were because they could even stably hold a being like himself, who retained an enormous amount of chakra. Naruto was also introduced to many other ancient seals other than Uzumaki.

He was flabbergasted by the sheer number of techniques Kurama possessed. He guessed it would take him months to at least finish reading their summaries. So then began an arduous study of seals.

But he could somehow get by due to his enhanced mental abilities. If not for that, he knew it would take him at least several decades to completely master them. 'Yes,' they were that complicated. The versatility and power were also on par with the difficulty, though. So he couldn't really complain.

He had a premonition that he would not be able to rest well in the following years. Whether it was due to him learning seals or for another reason, he had no idea.
