108 Yellowish Black

Yang Xiao Long woke up with the memories of yesterday's events fresh in her mind. A strange appearing out of near and kisses her mother. Only her father is allowed to do that! Her vision turned red as she got angry but soon found herself pinned and unable to strike the b*stard, then forced to calm down. After her head cleared and she no longer had tunnel vision, she recognized the stranger as Silva. The guy she tried to reach in Atlas which resulted in her finding and reconnecting with her mother, Raven Branwen, instead.

It slipped her mind to try and seek the snow leopard faunus out since she was grounded and started spending weekends with her mother. A lot of Silva's story explained what his letter meant when he left. The blonde also felt more than a little shaken at how his and her mother's relationship progressed, from subordinate to brother then son, until finally, they became freaking lovers! A guy no older than her was dating her mother! Yang really didn't want to get out of bed to deal with that brand of craziness this morning, but she was starving.

The blonde sighed and forced herself up as she got ready to... she didn't know, but Yang couldn't stay within her tent with her stomach growling at her. Her legs felt like lead as she trudges out of her tent to the campfire to have breakfast. The blonde finally exits out of her tent to see Silva right off the bat, cooking breakfast with her sister, mother, and April sitting around the campfire. The snow leopard faunus greeted her.

" Morning, Yang. Have a seat. I will have breakfast ready in a few minutes."

Yang saw Silva cooking some eggs mixed with minced veggies and bacon in a single large skillet along with some sausage links. The blonde didn't return the greeting as she sat the farthest away from the snow leopard with a disgruntled look, and he didn't mind how she was acting, as it wasn't unexpected. Silva placed a serving in a bowl and handed it to Ruby first.

" Here you go, Ruby."

" Thanks!"

The little reaper showed no hesitation in digging in, and the snow leopard faunus then handed a bowl to Yang next, and she tersely took it without a word and started eating with a brooding expression. Raven then April got their shares, and the skillet was empty, which made Silva start making his own breakfast—cracking open a few eggs with a bit of milk to stir together while wearing his special heat-resistant gloves to prevent any of his furs from getting into his meal. He added a mixture of minced veggies and then brought out a bottle and poured a red sauce over his eggs before adding some bacon and sausage.

Ruby noticed this and asked with her mouth full. Her question came out incoherent, so she swallowed her food to repeat her question more clearly as Silva looked at her as if he didn't understand her.

" What's that you added to your breakfast Silva?"

" Something you probably wouldn't like."

The snow leopard answered vaguely with a slight smile, and the little reaper tilted her head as she asked.

" Why wouldn't I like it?"

Silva looked at her with a mischievous look in his eyes and answered.

" You can try it and see for yourself, as I could always be wrong about you not liking what I added to my breakfast."

" Okay!"

Ruby took her spoon as the snow leopard faunus brought the skillet close enough for her to grab a bite, but Yang interjected with a sour look directed at Silva.

" Ruby, you should be focused on your own food instead of his."

" Oh, come, Yang, you know dad always says we should try new things."

The little reaper took a bite of reddish eggs and chewed it for a bit before commenting.

" It has a bit of a smoky flavor and..."

Ruby's face started to turn red before she disappeared in a burst of petals, yelling.

" WATER!"

The little reaper went to the nearby creek and dunked her whole head in the water to try and drown out the spiciness of Silva's homemade hot sauce. The creator of the sauce chuckled at successfully pulling a prank on Ruby and Yang, then went ballistic and nearly knocked Silva's food into the ground as she bellowed.

" WHAT IN THE HECK DID YOU DO TO MY LITTLE SISTER, B*STARD!"

She glared at the snow leopard faunus with fiery red eyes, and he glanced at her then asked.

" Has anyone told you that you look beautiful when you're angry"

That threw the blonde a loop as she was not expecting a question like that.

" What?!"

Silva simply grinned at her and started to eat his breakfast from the skillet after removing it from the fire. After eating his first bite, he commented.

" I love starting my day with something spicy to really wake me up."

Before Yang could start raging again, Ruby returned and said to the snow leopard faunus with an aggrieved look.

" You big meanie! Why didn't you say that was spicy!"

" Because you wouldn't have tried it otherwise. Want another bite?"

The little reaper stuck her tongue out and blew a raspberry at him for her answer. Silva just chuckled, then apologized with a smile.

" Sorry, couldn't resist."

Ruby pouted for a moment, then said.

" Apology accepted."

The blonde just lost the wind to her sails; that was her anger seeing her little sister forgive being pranked. Raven observed the interaction between the three and felt there might be a chance for her daughter to come to accept her relationship with her young lover. She decided to leave things to Silva to handle the situation with the two girls. The former bandit finished her breakfast and quietly went to her tent to prepare her morning tea, with April following behind her. Yang finished her breakfast, and before she returned to her tent to brood over how things were now, Silva called out to her.

" Yang, care to join me for some sparring practice?"

She was about to deny having anything to do with him but stopped herself as she realized that she could vent her frustrations and anger out on the cause of them all, Silva. The blonde's eyes narrowed with a slight smirk adorning her face as she replied.

" Sure, why not?"

They went to a nearby clearing along with Ruby in tow. They took their places across from one another, and Silva asked.

" How do you want to do this?"

" Standard rules."

Yang curtly replied as she took a boxer-like a stance, and the snow leopard faunus simply put his paws in his pockets. The blonde assumed she wasn't being taken seriously, which ticked her off, and her opponent asked Ruby.

" Ruby, mind giving us a start signal?"

" K!"

The little reaper got into it and began a countdown.

" 3... 2... 1..., Let it rip!"

Yang charged as Silva stood his ground, and she landed a haymaker punch, but her opponent shrugged it off like it was nothing and didn't move an inch. The blonde went full berserker and wailed on the snow leopard faunus, but unbeknownst to her, Silva wasn't passively accepting the hits from her. He was concentrating his Aura on the points of impact before the punches landed, which greatly migrated the blows with minimal expenditure. Yang was a straight-up puncher through and through, which made it easy to predict where she was going to hit.

As the blonde started to tire without being able to activate her Semblance Burn because she hadn't taken any damage, the snow leopard faunus taunted her with a cocky smile.

" Is that all?"

Yang lost it as she aimed for his nether regions in a fit of rage, but Silva was unharmed as he easily protected his tender bits with Aura. Ruby cried out in shock and abolished her sister.

" Yang, you know you're not supposed to hit a guy's no-no place!"

Hearing her sister, the blonde quickly apologized after realizing what she had just done.

" I am so sorry; I was angry and, and!"

She heard a sigh as she looked up to see the snow leopard faunus looking more than a little annoyed. He then said coldly.

" If that's how you want to play it, so be it!"

The next moment Yang literally saw her world turn upside down as Silva flipped her into the air with a fast and hard, low kick. He grabbed her by the ankles and then slammed her into a tree, but he wasn't done there. The snow leopard faunus treated the blonde like a club and swung her around, hitting the ground and trees repeatedly until her Aura flickered as a sign nearing its limit. Silva dropped her and walked off without saying anything as Yang crossed the bottom line by attacking his tender bits. The blonde looked up at the blue sky and felt weak and helpless.

Yang has lost before, mainly to her uncle and father but never to someone near her age and certainly not so one-sidedly. The blonde was in a daze even as Ruby walked up to her and sat next to her. The little reaper had never seen such a brutal one-sided fight before and felt lost at what to do to console her sister. The two girls looked up at the sky and wondered what was going to happen next.
