Worrying Black

I swung over to Kuo Kuana to give Blake's reply to her parents and found myself in front of the Belladonna manor once more. I used the knocker again and waited for a few minutes until the door opened to reveal Kali.

" Back so soon, Silva?"

I silently offered Blake's letter to her, and the mature cat woman's eyes widened in surprise, and she asked.

" Is that?"

" Straight from Blake to you and Ghira."

She gently took the letter from my paws and looked at me with a happy smile as she said.

" Thank you."

" No prob-."

I immediately found myself hugged by Kali, much to my surprise, as she said.

" Truly, thank you, Silva."

" No problem, Kali."

The mature cat woman lets me go and invites me inside her home.

" Please come in, Silva. I am sure Ghira will want to speak to you after what you did for us."

She leads me to the foyer before going off to get Ghira and show him his daughter's reply. I made myself comfortable while I waited and worked on Heaven Defying Demon Empress. The main character has risen to the peak of her world and is preparing to enter the upper realms to further her Cultivation while going over the full inheritance left behind by her mother. I was wondering what to name the next stages of Cultivation until Ghira and Kali showed up. The chief of Kuo Kuana sat across from me as he gave me a small bow in gratitude.

" Thank you for what you have done for Kali and me, Silva, in passing along our messages and returning with Blake's reply."

" It was my pleasure, Ghira. Do you want me to give another letter to your daughter, or do you want to wait?"

" I think Kali and I will wait for now since we now know Blake is alright but that aside. When you saw her, Silva, did she seem well?"

I told them with a bit of humor.

" Aside from staying up late and reading by candlelight, she seems fine for the most part."

The two parents had wry smiles on their faces, and Kali commented.

" That sounds like our daughter, alright. We would also like to know if you met Adam Taurus. He is a bull faunus with-."

" I have faced Adam before Kali, so you don't need to describe him."

" How did you meet him, Silva?"

At Ghira's question, I explained my involvement with the Schnee family and my confrontation with the White Fang when they attacked Atlas. They were surprised at me for helping change the Schnee Dust Company for the better but were happy with my efforts nonetheless. I also told them I would see Sienna soon to speak with her, and the chief of Kuo Kuana offered.

" I can set up a meeting with Sienna if you want, Silva; it's the least I could do after you helped us get in contact with our daughter."

" There is no need for that, Ghira. I can reach Sienna on my own but thank you for the offer. I would like you to give her a heads up that I will be seeing her soon so I don't give her an unpleasant surprise."

After all, I have seen her in person, so Door To Darkness can let me meet her directly by opening a portal to the tiger woman. I then asked them before we went off on a tangent again.

" Why did you ask me about, Adam?"

The married couple shared a worried look as they looked at one another and handed me some paper that I recognized as Blake's reply.

I am fine. I have Adam by my side as we pursue equality for the faunus in the White Fang. I admit I regret leaving home after I got into an argument with you about me staying in the White Fang, but Adam assures me that I did the right thing. Under Sienna's leadership, a lot of things have changed; after the operation in Atlas, Adam and I got sent to the Vale Branch. We primarily attack businesses and criminal organizations that abuse the faunus, and Adam says-.]

As I read the letter, I found that Blake constantly speaks about Adam, which does not surprise me since she has not figured out his true nature yet, so she is acting like a lovestruck girl with him. I understood the Belladonnas' concern, especially if they knew Adam well enough to see that he did not want equality but enslave humans as they had done to faunus. I wonder if I could accelerate Blake's departure from the White Fang by agitating the bull faunus into breaking the character he uses to seduce the ninja cat girl. Something to consider, at least, especially if I could give her shelter from him since staying with her parents would just draw Adam to her to persuade Blake into rejoining the White Fang by his side.

I assured Ghira and Kali to put them at ease.

" I understand why you two are worried but have faith in your daughter, as she is an intelligent girl, and she will see the truth eventually. Plus, I promise you both that I will keep an eye on her and help her if she needs it."

" Thank you once more, Silva."

The Belladonnas relaxed a bit but were still worried as they couldn't help but worry about their only daughter.

Sienna Kahn was in an unusual mood as she recently received a message from the Vale Branch of the White and Ghira Belladonna about a visitor she has been interested in meeting, Silva Branwen. The snow leopard faunus that stood against her and the White Fang in Atlas, plus showed that he was in control of the Schnee Dust Company in the shadows by having Willow Schnee apologize to the faunus that had suffered under her ex-husband's reign. Part of her admired his ability to get results, while another was still sore about him standing against the White Fang both in battle and in public.

The tiger woman was about to send a guide-slash-escort to Menagerie to guide Silva to a meeting place of her choice but was told that he would come to her without assistance. Sienna sat on her throne as she took the reports from the few Mistral Branches of the White Fang and the Vale Branch. The White Fang did not have a need for a branch in Vacuo as it had already treated the faunus as equals, and it wasn't possible anymore to maintain a branch in Atlas after their operation in the northern kingdom with its military hunting them down with extreme prejudice.

The tiger woman looked over the reports when suddenly a black portal appeared in the middle of the throne room. Someone came through the portal, and that someone was Silva Branwen. Which had Sienna immediately on guard, along with her personal escorts, that stayed by her side, and the snow leopard faunus greeted the tiger woman.

" Hello, Sienna Kahn. It has been a while. Did you hear that I was coming?"

" I did, and now I see you could have come for my head anytime you wanted, and I would be unprepared."

" I would only come after you if you gave me a reason to pursue you, like attack the assets of the SDC, but you haven't, so I come in peace."

Sienna ordered her guards as she leaned back on her throne.

" Stand down and see that our... guest is comfortable."

The guards lowered their weapons and proceeded to provide a chair for Silva to sit across from the High Leader of the White Fang. The snow leopard faunus was a bit surprised at the tiger woman treating him as an equal rather than a plebian or intruder but put aside those thoughts because if she did, he had no issue showing her that he was not to be underestimated. Sienna asked directly with a no nonsense tone.

" Why are you here?"

" Mainly to get a measure of your character and see if being allies is possible."

" Allies?!"

The tiger woman said incredulously, but Silva's motives were simple and selfish. He does want things to be better for the faunus because he has experienced the discrimination that all faunus know of and deals with daily, and he wants his future children to have a better future. So Silva began a debate on philosophy and means with Sienna Kahn by providing what he knew of Earth's history as a source of inspiration and adapting it to Remnant's society.
