135 Unexpected Black

I, Silva Branwen, am enjoying another day in my home near Vale as I just delivered the first volume of the Gundam manga I recreated for Remnant, and I am working on book five of Harry Potter. Now with Voldemort back in action and the Minister of Magic denying his return at every turn, things take a more political turn. I think I will touch on more of the inner workings of the Wizarding World in terms of laws and regulations, with Harry soon becoming 15 years old. I went with showing just how backward the wand wavers are compared to the rest of the world.

Inane rules and regulations, plus displaying their ignorance of the non-magical side with, of course, the woman everyone loves to hate, Umbridge, to help set the mood. Working out Harry's attack and trial, then followed by Sirius giving his godson an in-depth explanation of how Wizarding Politics works to start the first few chapters, I was making good progress. Also, I included an awkward meeting with his ex-best friend Ron at Grimmauld Place. As I wrote, I heard the knocker being used at the front door; I wasn't expecting anyone. I stopped writing and went to see who was at the door.

I peeked at the camera display to find Ozpin and Glynda Goodwitch at my door. I wondered why they were here for a few moments and decided that this was an opportunity to snatch the old wizard's knowledge of Magic, so I opened the door.

" What brings the headmaster of Beacon to my humble abode?"

" Greetings, Mr.Branwen. Qrow described you perfectly, and I was hoping to run into you soon. May I come in?"

I considered how I would handle this and went with playing reluctant and guarded to give the impression he needed to earn my trust first, not that he would ever have it in any significant way.

" You still haven't answered my question, Ozpin."

Ozpin lightly smiled as he nodded and then answered me.

" I have been wanting to meet you for a while, Mr.Branwen, especially considering our mutual acquaintances."

I looked him in the eye for a few moments, then curtly said as I moved out of the doorway.

" Come in."

" Thank you for your hospitality."

The old wizard walked in with his right-hand woman shadowing him closely, and I led them to the foyer. I took out my scroll to activate chef bots I built beforehand for when I don't feel like cooking to make some snacks. As we took our seats, I asked Ozpin.

" So, what do you want to talk about, Ozpin?"

" Straight to the point then. How much do you know about "Her" and our cause?"

He analyzed me, and Glynda was also gauging my reactions when I answered.

" Mostly everything Raven knows, like who the "Queen" is, the Relics, the Maidens, You, and the other headmasters, her abilities, plus the origin of the creatures of Grimm."

" She must trust you a great deal to tell you all that I honestly thought she might have left you largely ignorant about the grand scheme of things."

I grunted in acknowledgment and asked.

" Anything else you want to know?"

" I am curious about your feeling on the matter."

I shrugged and told him some half-truths.

" Mostly scared and nervous at first, then a grim acceptance of how things are and a strong aversion to anything related to those matters."

While I did feel fear from the possibility of Salem succeeding in getting the Relics, I think anyone with any sense would, but I have my plans now to deal with the situation. Plus, my aversion is more in line with having anything to do with the current Ozma, as he withholds important information and sends in his followers half-blind to a shadow war he has no real plans to end. The old wizard took in what I said and replied with a bitter smile.

" I see..."

An awkward silence descended the room until the chef bots came in with finger sandwiches and an assortment of drinks. I gestured to my two guests and said.

" Help yourselves."

I wasn't hungry, so I didn't grab anything aside from a carbonated limeade to drink, and Ozpin helped himself to one of the finger sandwiches while Glynda refrained from having anything. I have to admit the woman is very much my type in both body and personality. Her gorgeous and stylish appearance aside, she is the kind of person that is disciplined but she knows not to let her strict nature rule her. The strict professor speaks for the first time towards me.

" Mr.Branwen, I wish to enquire about what it is you plan to do in the future."

" When I am of age, I plan to attend Beacon to get my Huntsman license."

" Oh? If that is the case, I can invite you to join Beacon right now if you want, Mr.Branwen."

The old wizard offered, and I told him bluntly.

" Thank you, but the one thing I lack is interacting with my own age group, so I rather wait for now."

If you consider my body's chronological age, that would be the truth since the only person I interact with regularly at my age is Emerald. I have no clue how old Argint is, and I seldom meet Yang, Weiss, or Pyrrha because of my current plans. Ozpin did not press the issue.

" I understand, Mr.Branwen. But would you mind telling me about your life till now? I read the reports Qrow gave me, but I would hear your perspective on the life you have led."

The old wizard looked at me intently and I decided to be somewhat honest with him since I wanted to attend Beacon Academy at the same time as the main cast. However, Ruby was still iffy, considering that I was going to deal with Salem and Roman was dead, but it would serve as a test to see if something like fate or plot exists. If it does, I need to be ready to fight tooth and nail for myself and the people I care about. I told him about my life in the Branwen tribe and withheld, acquiring the Relics, the previous Spring Maiden, most of my illegal actions in Atlas, and my current plans for Menagerie.

Time went by as I told my story, and after I finished, it was close to evening, and Ozpin looked at the time on his Scroll.

" Thank you for your time and hospitality, Mr.Branwen."

He got up along with his right-hand woman and I also got up to extend my paw to him to shake his hand and said.

" It was... Interesting to meet you, headmaster."

" Likewise, Mr.Branwen."

As he grabbed my paw, I used Soul Archive on him... And I shot myself in the foot. The moment he touched me he could sense that I had Magic, but he kept his expression from changing from his friendly smile. The sheer amount of memories was going to take a while to sort through and organize, plus I had to up my timetable for my plan to confront Salem before she learns of Ozpin's assumption that I am the f*king Spring Maiden from Lionheart. Well, no use crying over spilled milk, but now he will keep a close eye on me.

After leading my two guests out of my home, I went to get the Relics that I had hidden deep underground to prevent Grimm from attacking my house regularly. I sighed at having to deal with Salem now to retain my element of surprise. I got the feeling things are going to get annoying really soon, but I digress. Time-stopping magic Relics first, then planning and action.

As Ozpin returned to Beacon, Glynda noticed that he was acting off.

" Ozpin? What's the matter?"

" Glynda, I think Silva Branwen is the Spring Maiden."

It never crossed the wizard's mind that Silva got magic some other way as he told his ally what he had learned. The strict professor's eyes widened in shock, and she asked.

" But how?! He's, well, he, not she."

" I am not sure, Glynda. I think even Raven may not be aware that her adoptive "son" is the Spring Maiden, let alone Qrow."

They started to make their way to the headmaster's office, and Glynda then asked.

" What now, Ozpin?"

" We will notify everyone tomorrow after arranging another visit with Ms.Branwen to double-check that I sensed her correctly when I came in direct contact with her."

Needless to say, things are about to get hectic in Silva's life.
