Sunrise Orange

Within the deep recesses of space, a battle took place. As the spaceships fired their beams and physical projectiles at one another, one particular ship was getting ready to launch its aces to end the battle taking place. The workers within the hangar got prepared to launch their mobile suits, and the pilots entered their designated machines and got on the catapult to venture into the battlefield. A red mobile suit outfitted with a beam sniper rifle with a beam scythe blade on both ends of the gun.

The pilot was wearing a matching red suit to protect herself from the harshness of space in case of battle damage causing a malfunction in life support. As the red mobile suit got on the catapult, the pilot gave her destination with an excited smile.

" Ruby Rose, Pixie Gundam Type R, launching!"

Ruby was sent flying into the battle before her, and a white mobile suit got ready to be sent out next. The pilot called out with a serious tone.

" Weiss Schnee, Gundam Vidar White, entering combat."

The white machine was geared with a sturdy rapier and a modified left arm and backpack to accommodate its Elemental Glyph System that generates various effects like lightning, ice shards, or fireballs as its range option. A black mobile suit came up next, and its pilot curtly said.

" Blake Belladonna, Shadow Blitz Gundam."

The Shadow Blitz Gundam was a machine armed towards stealth with its Mirage System that makes it invisible to the naked eye and various sensors equipped with a cleaver-like blade and high caliber handgun plus wired blade bits. The final mobile suit came up to the catapult, and its pilot called out with a smile that you could hear in her voice.

" Yang Xiao Long, Sunburst Gundam, heading out!"

The Sunburst Gundam was based on an older unit known as Burning Gundam with a focus on a brawler's fighting style with reinforced fists and skirt-mounted buckshot weaponry for a limited range option. As the four machines head out to fight their battles on the other side of the battlefield, the enemy's ace makes preparations to head out as he can sense his four rivals out in the war, wreaking havoc. He asked the hangar workers.

" Is my machine ready?"

" Just finished installing the ammo reserves, sir!"

" Good, I'm heading out."

The enemy ace entered his mobile suit and prep for launch.

" Silva Branwen, Schwalbe Graze Custom, launching."

The gray machine was outfitted with a shield-mounted gatling gun on its left arm while holding a semi-automatic shotgun in its right that was fitted with an ax blade for melee combat and a backup sword mounted on its skirt. The enemy ace used his spacial sensing ability to feel out his enemies, and his four rivals could feel his presence as he did. The yellow mobile suit was the closest, and Ruby warned her sister.

" Yang, watch out! He's heading right toward you! Wait for us!"

" Got you, Ruby!"

Silva's mobile suit speeded towards the blonde and started rotating its gatling gun before firing. As a hail of bullets rained at the blonde brawler, she just barely managed to avoid the line of fire and entered a gunfight with the enemy ace. The two mobile suits circled one another as they traded fire; the yellow machine was losing as it wasn't well equipped for a mid to long-range fight, and Silva had the initiative. As more shots landed on the Sunburst Gundam, Yang was starting to lose her mobility as her leg thrusters got damaged.

Weiss was the first to arrive and activated her Glyph System to fire a ball of electricity at Schwalbe Graze Custom. The enemy ace countered by firing his hidden grenade launcher equipped into his shotgun at the elemental attack, which dissipated it with the explosion. Silva didn't stop there as he changed his target from Yang to Weiss with his gatling gun and landed several hits on the white machine. The yellow machine didn't stay idle as it charged at the enemy ace but was met with buckshot from the enemy mobile suit.

While sufficiently handling the two, Silva's spacial sensing picked up a third hidden enemy and bellowed as he did a sweeping shot with his gatling gun.

" That ain't going to work on me!"

As a few shots landed on something causing the Shadow Blitz Gundam to reveal itself from hiding. Seeing the previously hidden enemy, the enemy ace exposed its back as he charged at the stealth unit while firing its shotgun at it, and before he could get in close for melee combat, Silva's sixth sense warned him to dodge. Rapidly moving to the side, a beam went past his previous location, which meant that Ruby was in attack range with her sniper rifle.

" I'm in position!"

The red leader called out and gave her orders.

" Yang, Weiss, keep on harassing him from opposite sides, and Blake, status report!"

" My Mirage System is damaged, but everything else is still operational!"

Hearing this, Ruby ordered.

" Good! As Yang and Weiss confront Silva, you will focus on hitting any exposed weak points along with me."

" Got it!"

Blake complied as she hung back as the white and yellow machines attacked from the gray mobile suit's flanks. The red sniper fired potshots at the enemy ace to keep him from going after her teammates. Silva felt the edge of desperation and decided on a gambit to give him an opening to attack. He discarded his gatling gun from his shield and fired on it with his shotgun and causing an explosion that generated a lot of smoke from the gunpowder as a smokescreen. Using his free moment, Silva activated his beam blades attached to his shield and charged at Weiss.

Bashing his shield against the white machine, Silva followed up by using his ax blade to chop at the left arm of the Gundam Vidar White and damage the Glyph System. The enemy ace then kicked Weiss towards Yang and went after the current weakest link, Blake and the Shadow Blitz Gundam. The stealth unit fired its high caliber handgun at the gray machine but was blocked by the shield and then used its wired blade bits to attack next. Silva cut the wires with his beam blades and fired a grenade at close range, which put Blake out of commission.

" One down, three to go."

The enemy ace quickly evaded the charging Sunburst Gundam and landed a glancing blow with his beam blades on the yellow machine's thruster packs on its back. Weiss roared out as she charged with her rapier and pierced Silva's shield, but he discarded his protection and fired point-blank buckshot at the white machine twice, which made the unit stop functioning. Before the enemy ace could move on to his next target, Ruby took out his main camera by landing a shot on his unit's head. Yang followed through by getting close and slugging the temporary blind enemy mobile suit.

Feeling his unit take hits and having his shotgun knocked out of his hand, Silva quickly switched to his secondary cameras and drew his backup sword. The weapon glowed orange from heat, making it a thermal weapon, and the enemy ace sliced into the Sunburst Gundam, chopping off one of its arms. Thrown off balance Yang tried to reroute power to her unit's only other arm, but it was too late as Silva performed multiple slashes, which disabled the yellow machine. The enemy ace's sixth sense went on alert and made the pilot move but got hit by a beam from the red sniper but managed to protect his last weapon from being destroyed.

Silva started evasive maneuvers as he tried to reach Ruby to end the fight. Seeing how she didn't land any shots, the red mobile suit activated its beam scythe and went into a melee fight with the gray machine. Thermal sword met beam scythe as the two pilots roared out and-!

I groaned as I forced myself up to turn off my alarm. After stopping my alarm, I rubbed my eyes and said out aloud.

" Well, that was an interesting dream."

" Oh? I have read that dreams could have certain meanings, Silva Branwen."

Vine Zeki called out to me, and I aptly replied.

" Meh."

I considered what I had just dreamed about and wondered if I should introduce Gundam to Remnant's Mecha genre as the selection is a bit limited in that category since the most popular troupe here is for the MC in whatever action-geared genre to awaken an overpowered Semblance rather than use interesting weapons. Ruby would probably love it, especially the beam weaponry, as she was mesmerized by the Atlesian Paladin presentation when Ironwood was showing off Atlas's next-generation technological wonders. Another to add to my to-do list after I research and see if it would appeal to Remnant at all.

As I got up and stretched, I noticed that there was an alert on my Scroll, and I checked it. It was a message from Lil' Miss, and after reading it, I called Clover.

" Hey, Ebi, I got some good news!"

" What have you got?"

I grinned as I told the Ace-Ops leader.

" The bandits we are tracking are going to hit another convoy heading to Atlas, which my information broker just provided me with a recent transaction for the routes to and from Atlas."

" I see... I will check where and when the convoys are at and work from there."

With that, Clover started making some calls, and Elm grinned as she punched her open palm and said.

" Finally, a chance for some action!"

I silently agreed with the muscle woman as I was getting impatient with paying my debt to Tindick as I had more important things to tackle than entertain the general.

Yang Xiao Long woke up to see an unfamiliar ceiling which was a tent roof, and quickly recalled where she was, Raven's camp. The blonde pinched herself to see if she was dreaming, and considering that she felt pain, she knew that she was actually in the same area as her birth mother. Right now, Yang wants to talk with Raven after processing what she learned yesterday about the reasons she left her and her father. As the blonde got out of her bedroll, she saw Ruby curled up and pulling the covers back over her head.

Yang wryly smiled as she shook her sleeping sister awake, and the little reaper begged.

" 5 more minutes, Yang."

The blonde started to tickle her little sister next, which woke her up immediately.

" HA, Yang, stop it! HAHA, I'm awake, I'm awake!"

Yang stopped as Ruby caught her breath, and the little cookie monster looked around as she didn't recognize her surroundings immediately, and after a moment, she recalled where she was.

" Oh, yeah, we're at a camp in Anima!"

Raven then entered the tent in the silky black short skirt kimono she sleeps in and curtly told the sisters.

" Breakfast is ready."

Yang looked at her mother and replied.

" K, be there in a minute."

The former bandit nodded in acknowledgment and left the tent to grab a bite to eat. Soon the sisters got up head toward the firepit. They saw April in nothing but her underwear and an apron on as she cooked some bacon and eggs. Yang and Ruby took a seat by the fire and were handed single pieces of bread by Raven. April put the eggs and bacon on the bread as the girls handed them out, and they thanked her.

" Thank you."

" Thanks."

April nodded at Ruby and Yang's gratitude, then served herself some breakfast with freshly brewed coffee from a kettle. Raven got her morning tea, and after everyone ate, the blonde asked her birth mother.

" So what now?"

" Now, after you get ready, I'll send you back to your father and uncle."

Raven answered, then drank more of her tea, and Yang then asked with a pleading tone.

" When will I see you again?"

The former bandit considered the question for a moment, then answered.

" I am thinking of either seeing you in private or inviting you back to my camp every weekend if that's agreeable to you, Yang."

The blonde thought about the arrangement and nodded as she said with a slight smile.

" That's fine."

Ruby looked back and forth between the two and asked while fidgeting nervously.

" Is it OK if I come along?"

Yang was okay with it and looked toward Raven to see her answer, and the bandit replied.

" You are welcome to my camp as well, Ruby."

With that, the girls soon got ready to leave, but before that, the blonde dug out her Scroll and asked her mother while feeling hopeful and nervous.

" Can we exchange numbers?"

Raven silently took out her Scroll and handed it to Yang, and the blonde gave her to her birth mother to input their Scroll numbers on their contact lists. After that, with a flick of the former bandit's sword, she opened a portal to Taiyang Xiao Long. Before the blonde went through it, she gave her birth mother a quick but awkward hug which the former bandit did return after a moment of hesitation. After they separated, Yang said with a curious tone.

" See you later?"

" See you later."

Raven answered with a slight smile, and the blonde waved goodbye as she went through the portal with her sister in tow. Yang was then met with a worried and angry father as he growled at her.

"You're in big trouble, Sunny Little Dragon!"

The blonde girl briefly considered that maybe she should've stayed with her birth mother a bit longer. Yang nervously laughed as Ruby hid behind and said.

" Hey, dad, we're back."
