Relaxing Remnant

I waited in my room as classes started; thankfully, Yang did not question what Ruby did with me last night, at least not yet. Otherwise, she will come at me red-eyed and angry for corrupting her sweet innocent with murderous intent first thing in the morning. I heard a knock and found Ruby at my door, dressed in her usual outfit, looking both excited and nervous. I grinned as I asked.

" Ready to go?"

The little cookie monster nodded silently, and I opened a portal to Mistral. I gestured toward Ruby and said.

" Ladies first."

" Where are you, Ruby?"

Yang muttered to herself as class was about to start. Her little sister said she had forgotten something at their dorm and ran off. The blonde shrugged and didn't mind as it would not be the first time since Ruby had been stressed with playing catch-up for the two years she skipped. Yang did help where she could, but she had her own homework to worry about, and the little cookie monster assured her she could handle it. Professor Peach walked in and organized her desk.

" Yang, where is Ruby?"

Weiss asked in a whisper with concern, as the little cookie monster was rarely late for class. The blonde replied to her teammate quietly.

" Ruby said she forgot something in our dorm."

" She's going to be late!"

The snow princess exclaimed in a whisper, and Blake added assuringly.

" I'm sure she's fine. What's the worse that could have happened?"

The professor then started to take attendance and stopped at Ruby's name.

" Ms.Rose?"

Professor Peach looked around before asking Weiss.

" Ms.Schnee, do you happen to know where Ms.Rose is?"

" She mentioned forgetting something in our dorm room, professor."

The professor hummed in acknowledgment and then replied.

" Very well. I will proceed with the lesson then."

Yang hoped her little sister was alright and would get to class soon.

" Woah!"

Ruby exclaimed at seeing the sights of Mistral for the first time in person, and I wryly smiled at her reaction. I then told her.

" It will still be a while before the museum will be open, Ruby. How about I treat you to some Mistral Style breakfast in the meantime?"

At my offer, Ruby took out her Scroll and asked excitedly as she showed me a place she wanted to go to.

" Can we go to Kazeyama bakery!? I have been wanting to try one of their Sakura cookies in forever!"

" Sure."

I replied casually and looked at the address. I frowned, as it was in the upper district, which means faunus are not allowed in, most likely. I then told the little cookie monster.

"You're probably going to have to enter without me since it's in the upper district."

" Why would that matter?"

Ruby asked in confusion, and I explained.

" Mistral has a lot of prejudice against the faunus, and it's not unusual for stores to ban faunus entry. No big deal."

I shrugged as I did not care because so far, with Robin and Willow's efforts in Atlas making life, in general, better for both faunus and the rest of the kingdom, making Mistral the most racist nation in the world right now. The little cookie monster still looked bothered, and I assured her by joking.

" It's fine, Ruby. People are allowed to be idiots. Otherwise, the jails would be overflowing with who knows how many idiots and making things more troublesome than them being wild and free."

" I guess..."

I managed to lighten the mood, and we went to Kazeyama for her cookies after I gave her some cash. Thankfully I knew Mistral well enough to find a nice little cafe that was faunus friendly and get myself some breakfast. Spicy grilled fish with miso soup and a bowl of rice with an assortment of seasonings for it. It was still about an hour before the museum opened, so I decided to chat with Ruby to pass the time.

" So, how are the Sakura cookies, Ruby?"

"They're good! I never had a cookie with a flavor like this!"

I chuckled as the little cookie monster inhaled her cookies, and I snatched one for myself. It had a light sweetest to it with a floral scent hidden underneath. Maybe I should make some back home? I heard Ruby then say with worry.

" Uh-oh..."

" What?"

I asked out of curiosity, and she showed me a text from Yang on her Scroll. I then sent a text of my own to the blonde to let her know I had abducted the little cookie monster, and I got quite a few threatening text messages in reply. I shrugged as I did not care. There were very few people in the whole multiverse that actually scared me, Haruhi being one, for obvious reasons. I temporarily blocked Yang's number so I didn't have to deal with the constant threats from her.

The Museum of War finally opened, and Ruby and I got our tickets. She immediately dragged to the history of weapons wing and zipped around with fervor at all the different kinds of weapons on display.

" This a hook sword! That's a war scythe! An old gatling gun! The first iterations of modern pistols!"

I smiled wryly as she was having fun, and I looked around at my leisure while keeping track of the little cookie monster. What drew my attention were some weapons unique to Remnant, like Dust wands and staffs to imitate magic casting. I got bored pretty quickly, and I took it easy as I followed Ruby as she gushed every single weapon. Overall a fairly quiet day. However, I did get a call from Glynda for dragging Ruby along for the ride, as I took all the blame.

The little cookie monster finally ran out of steam.

" This was amazing, Silva, thanks!"

" Anytime."

I replied as we left the museum, and classes were still going on back at Beacon, so we went for some lunch. As we wandered through the bizarre after a bite to eat, someone called out to me.

" Silva!? What are you doing here?"

It was Winter, and I greeted her with a smile.

" Hey, Winter, it's good to see you again so soon."

" You didn't answer my question."

She curtly replied, and I answered honestly.

" Skipping classes to relax."

My favorite ice queen sighed and said with a bit of exasperation.

" Only you would go to another kingdom to skip classes, Silva."

" Silva, there is a rare material being sold there!"

Ruby exclaimed excitedly and then noticed Winter and said, in shock.

" Weiss!? How are you here!?"

I could not help but chuckle at the little cookie monster's misunderstanding as she was viewing the ice queen from a distance through a crowd. She came over and realized that Winter wasn't Weiss.

" Your not Weiss..."

" No, this is Winter, her big sister. Winter, this is Ruby. I kidnapped her because she was cute."

" Oh!"

The little cookie monster gasped in understanding. My favorite ice queen just rolled her eyes at me for saying I kidnap someone, knowing it was not true. Winter then said.

" I have heard of you from Weiss, Ruby. It's nice to meet you in person."

" Oh, uh, thanks?"

Ruby said unsurely, as this was the first time she had met Weiss's sister. Winter then warn me.

" Do practice moderation on with your shenanigans, Silva. If you excuse me, I am on patrol."

" It was nice meeting you!"

The little cookie monster said to my favorite ice queen as she left to fulfill her duties. The day soon turned to evening, and it was time to face the music. I dropped Ruby off at her dorm room, and I went to Glynda's office. I entered, and the strict professor said with an angry tone.

" Silva Branwen, we have a lot to discuss."

Reap what you sow and all that. I regret nothing.

***

" Ruby, are you okay!? Did Silva do anything to you!? Did he touch you perversely!? Are you an experienced woman now!?"

Yang fussed over Ruby, and the little cookie monster answered to reassure her blonde sister.

" I'm fine, Yang. Silva and I just went to Mistral to go to the Museum of War and wandered around for a bit."

" You went on a date...!? That's arguably worse..."

Yang muttered that last part to herself and then bellowed with fury.

" How dare Silva corrupt my innocent little sister!"

Ruby did not bother trying to correct her sister, as that was an exercise in futility as she knew she would not listen to her in her current state. Blake then asked curiously.

" How was it?"

" It was fun; we also went to Kazeyama for cookies and the bizarre. Oh, and I met your sister Weiss!"

" I sincerely hope you did not embarrass yourself in front of Winter."

Weiss said with an unpleasant feeling in her chest as she heard how much fun Ruby had on her not-a-date with Silva.
