Ember Orange

I, Silva Branwen, am sitting cross-legged, looking at the weapons I have constructed after a week of almost none stop experimenting. Four pole axes that I color-coded to represent what they could do. The red axe uses a thermal cutting blade. The white one uses vibrations to increase cutting power. The blue axe uses electric oscillations reminiscent of Lightning chakra coating from Naruto to cleave deeper and electrify anyone or anything I use it on. The black one doesn't have an actual physical blade on it, as it is designed to channel my Aura to project the blade and manipulate its size.

What makes these axes unique is that they are powered by Aura and not Dust. Aura can be divided into two categories ambient Aura, which is what protects us, fuels Semblances, and regenerates over time. Then there is core Aura which can represent the very soul, and this is what Pietro will use in the future to give Penny her soul. These axes run off ambient Aura by using a battery that can store Aura and prevent it from leaking out. They also make use of the applications of Glyphs, not the Schnee family semblance but the archaic form of using Dust and Aura in a certain fashion.

By combining modern technological know-how and Glyphs, I managed to create engines and generators that run off Aura instead of Dust. I looked toward the two hand cannons I made. They worked in different ways; one channels Aura to form bullets and create small but powerful shockwaves to launch them. The other, however, makes use of gunpowder based on Earth of my first life; with Soul Archive, I recalled an old documentary on the history of Earth's gunpower and how it was first made by Chinese alchemists and then how it was refined into modern gunpowder.

I caused more than a few explosions, but thankfully the forge room was soundproof, so no one came around to ask questions. Now the railgun is an experiment to see if my Aura Generator can produce enough electricity to use electromagnetic waves to propel a projectile at least the speed of sound, if not several times more. I smiled at my handiwork and felt pleased with the results as I only needed to test it on Grimm in live combat to improve further and refine my designs. As I relaxed after a long week, I received a call from someone I had not heard from in a while, Darian Night, the director and producer of the upcoming Harry Potter movie. I answered my Scroll.

" Hello, Mr.Night; how may I help you?"

" Please, call me Darian, Mr.Morningstar, and I apologize if I am calling you at an important time, but I needed to consult with you before CCTS goes offline for maintenance."

" I am not doing anything right now. So what do you need, Darian?"

He then explained himself.

" I found someone to play the part of Harry in the movie, but there are two issues I need to discuss with you about the actor as you might take offense."

" What's the problem?"

I was curious as to who he had in mind and what sort of problem there was that needed my say in the matter.

" For starters, the actor is a girl, and the other problem is that she is a faunus."

Okay, not what I was expecting, but whatever, so I asked Darian.

" What makes you inclined to choose her in the first place?"

" Aside from being the spitting image of Harry in the way I imagined him, she really got into the part and is a good actor despite her inexperience."

He sent me a picture of the girl, and I saw what he meant; she had wild messy short black hair and striking green eyes with boyish looks and a pale complexion but with deer antlers adorning the sides of her head. I thought about this for a few moments and then asked.

" Is she a really good actor?"

" Yes, and I think she has potential."

I then ask before making a final decision.

" Can you edit out her antlers with CGI?"

" Yes!"

Darian answered excitedly, and I told him.

" Go ahead and give her the part."

" You won't regret this, Mr.Mourningstar!"

" We will see. Have a pleasant day."

After he gave his goodbye, Darian hung up, and I put my Scroll away. I looked at the time and saw that classes should be over by now, so I called Winter next since she wanted to see my handiwork. The ice queen soon picked up on my call and answered.

" Hello, Silva, are you well?"

" I just finished my projects. If you want to come over and see them."

" I will be there momentarily."

As I waited, I heard my stomach rumble and went to see if I had any snacks left over. I found a sandwich still in its wrapper and checked its date before opening it. It's still good, so I opened and ate it as I waited for Winter, then looked for something to wash it down with and found a flat cola that I forgot to finish. I got out of the room and went to the nearest water fountain to get a drink. After I wet my throat, I still felt hungry and got myself some chips from a nearby vending machine. I returned to the forge room and found my favorite ice queen waiting for me.

" Hey, Winter."

" Hello, again, Silva. Do you think you made enough weapons?"

She asked me with a slight smile as she saw the four weapons I made, and I chuckled and then answered.

" Yeah, I do think I made enough weapons. Anything, in particular, catches your eyes?"

" I am curious about these axes you made."

Before I started explaining what I had made, I asked.

" Can you keep this quiet from the general? Because if he knew exactly what I made, he would either confiscate my weapons "for the greater good," yeah, Atlas's greater good, or do everything in his power to make me stay."

Winter looked more curious then she had promised me.

" What we talk about won't leave this room, Silva."

" Thank you."

Trusting Winter's word, I started telling her about how I applied Aura in a new way that might change Remnant in the future but on my terms.

The Cross-Continental Transmit System shut down as it underwent maintenance and global communication went down with it. In Atlas, Sienna Kahn looked at her brothers and sisters in arms of the White Fang and said.

" Start the operation!"

The team Blake was assigned to immediately attacked the com towers for Atlas's communication for both military and civilian use, which soon threw the whole kingdom into a panic. As people wondered what was going on, explosions erupted across the floating city of Atlas and thus truly began the White Fang's offense.
