Chaotic Fate

The Masters of Red are certainly taking their time to come to Fuyuki. Still, I suppose it should not be too surprising as despite Rin being the Second Owner, I have more control over the city than her because of my public identity as CEO of the Snowfall Company. As another morning went by in my home, I heard Tamamo call out to me.

" Master, can we talk?"

" Sure, Tamamo. What's on your mind?"

" Well, it's about your arms..."

Oh, right, I never did get around to explaining my origins to the foxy woman, and I can understand her curiosity since she was discriminated against because of her ears and tails with the accusations of poisoning Emperor Toba and feared as the nine-tail demon fox. I looked at her and waited to see what she wanted to ask first. After a minute of silence, she asks with a mix of curiosity and embarrassment.

" Can I touch them?"

" Sure."

I curtly replied as I was used to my arms being touched during my stay in this world. Skadi may not care for snuggling because I am a bit too warm for her liking, but she does enjoy running her fingers through my fur. Both Irisveil and Illyasviel like to hug my arms when watching a movie together. Maiya occasionally leans against me, and Grey offers to brush my fur every once in a while. Sakura, when she was younger, would sneak into my futon and use my arms as pillows.

Tamamo walked up, looking nervous, and started with tentative pokes before switching to more closely examining my arms. I heard her mutter to herself.

"They're real..."

Her fox ears flickered, and her two tails wagged as she started to run her fingers through my fur-covered arms. I then heard her let out a frustrated groan as she complained.

" What is this sense of loss!? Am I jealous of Master's soft fur?!"

I chuckled at her displeased expression as she practically glared at my arms and she demanded.

" Master?! What is your secret to your soft fur?!"

I bluntly told her with wry amusement.

" It's some parts genetics and some parts using natural soaps and shampoos to clean myself."

Tamamo then started to sniff my fur and guessed the scent I was using right now.

" Charcoal and... Roses?"

I use this scent rather than for the smell but rather for how clean my fur feels after I use it. The vixen then asks me.

" Master, where might I procure the soaps and shampoos you use?"

" My company makes them on the side as I am particular about how I care for my fur as I like it to stay soft and clean with no damage caused by external factors. I can show you the online store so you can place an order for yourself."

After Tamamo ordered over a dozen different scented soaps and shampoos, I went to the library to read for a bit. I found Medusa there and greeted her.

" Hello, Medusa. Are you adjusting well enough?"

" I am well, Master Silva..."

I am getting a brief flashback of Argint since she addresses me the same way, but I shake my head to clear it and ask the gorgon what book she was reading in her hands.

" What are you reading currently?"

" A light novel. A girl that wandered into another world and had several adventures there but slowly lost her memories of her home and family in return."

I recalled that series; it was one that I wrote under a pen name as there were not a lot of good stories in this world for some reason, despite being identical to the Earth I was familiar with in several other aspects. I wanted to write something original, so I went with a light tragedy theme isekai novel. It was not popular, which was fine. I mainly wrote it for fun. I then asked the tall woman.

" What are your thoughts about it?"

" The author is cruel but also fair, as while the girl got to be as extraordinary as she always wanted to be, it came at a price that she did not know that she paid. Even while surrounded by friends and loved ones, she felt a sense of loss that haunted her until she realized at the end that she did not recognize the person in the mirror despite it being her."

" Nothing is truly free."

I lightly replied and Medusa nodded as she said.

" Maybe so, but the ending in this series was too sad despite the thrilling adventures and passionate romance."

I shrugged as everyone was free to choose their opinion. However, still, the series I wrote did net me with a few devoted fans that were actually pretty interesting people that asked questions that made me think and encouraged me to continue writing. I thought about trying my hand at writing another story but quashed that thought as I had other things that needed doing first. After chatting with the gorgon a bit more, I picked out a novel I picked up during one of my hunts in Europe and started to read.

Time flew by, and I heard someone call out to me.

" Silva."

" Oh, Iri, what's the matter?"

" It's almost lunchtime."

I took out my phone and saw it was almost noon, so I put away my book and thanked the homunculus woman.

" Thanks, Iri."

" Not a problem, Silva."

I thought back to how things had turned out between us. Irisveil was at a loss for what to do when Kiritsugu dumped Illyasviel into my lab after leaving a letter and Maiya behind. Part of her wanted to track him down, but she couldn't just leave her daughter with me. So, in the end, she stayed in Japan in hopes that her husband, now ex-husband, would return and realize that she was alive and would be family together. However, that never happened. He was gone with the wind.

I helped her out in adjusting to living in Fuyuki after she negotiated with Father Risei, since he was the regent in Rin's stead, to stay here. We regularly talked and even had dinner together, which led her to move from the Einzbern castle here in Fuyuki to my residence as it was too big. I also provided her with all the information on the Einzbern Family Magecraft I had, thanks to Soul Archive, and we got close. Illyasviel came to see me as a big brother figure and Sakura as a little sister.

After one night when Irisviel had given up on hope for Kiritsugu and drowned her sorrows with alcohol and had me join her, we found ourselves in my futon with hangovers and smelling of s*x the next morning. Skadi was surprisingly not angry at either of us for getting together, and the homunculus woman had mixed feelings on the matter. After an awkward couple of days, Irisveil came to my room one night, and we talked before she decided she had it with her ex-husband and had me take care of her womanly needs.

I then decided that Kiritsugu was an even bigger idiot for justice than I initially thoughts as I learned that the homunculus was made for s*x, quite literally. It turned out that the Magus Killer never made his wife cum, and once I did, well... I almost got wrung dry by her, even with Magic replenishing my stamina and sperm. Again, Kiritsugu is an idiot for leaving such a fine woman alone to pursue an impossible ideal. As I reminisced, Irisveil drew my attention.

" Silva?"

" Ah, just thinking about how you and I got together, Iri."

She smiled and then gave me a brief kiss on the cheek and said.

" I never thought I would put Kiritsugu behind me either, Silva, but he made his choice."

The homunculus woman was saddened at the end, and I hugged her. Kiritsugu is an idiot.
