Changing Fate

A portal opened in the living room of the Branwen residence in Fuyuki, which alerted the Anime Faction that they were catching some late-showing anime tonight. As Silva was the first to come out, the newest member of the Anime Faction, Mordred exclaimed in surprise.

" Your back already!? But Father..."

Artoria then followed behind with a deep grimace as she looked down, lost in thought. The Knight of Treachery looked at her "Father" in confusion as she had never seen her looking so... Lost.

" Father..."

" I will retire for the night."

The King of Knights said curtly as she left for her room, and Silva followed her to the underground complex and went to where the Grail was being stored. Skadi was waiting in front of the special containment unit for the Grail and asked her husband.

" Are you ready, my dear lord husband?"

" As I will ever be, Skadi. Hopefully, there won't be any side effects, as I suspect, by merging with Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg."

" I have taken the necessary precautions, dear."

The Demon King smiled at his wife and said.

" Thanks, and I love you."

Before he entered the chamber, Skadi stopped him and leaned in to give him a quick kiss before threatening him.

" If you don't come back to me, I will be very cross with you."

She may have been trying to look intimidating, but she comes off as adorable to Silva, which makes him grin and give her a kiss in return. He then promised.

" Don't worry. You are not getting rid of me that easily. See you later."

The Demon King entered the chamber with the Holy Grail resting on a pedestal and reached for it as he had his wish ready in his heart. To gain the Second Magic by absorbing a version of Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg from a failing World Line and finally return to Remnant. Silva touched the Holy Grail and made his wish.

Who am I?

The name Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg comes to mind, but it feels wrong. Another name pops into my head, Silva Branwen, which feels better than the previous name but is still wrong. My head is a mess, and I am lost in darkness. Again, who am I? As I pondered and wandered, I ultimately decided to organize my memories to try and make sense of who I am.

My earliest memory is of wandering alone and meeting my Master, Solomon, who made me his apprentice and started me down the path of being a Magus. That's not all. I remember being born a bandit in a world I only thought of before as fiction that became my new reality while having memories of a past life in another world. I saw the end of the Age of Gods but also met the Brother God of Darkness later on, now that I think about the existence of gods.

I formed the Mages Association to prevent the death of Magecraft along with my fellow discipline. Still, I also took part in my first bandit raid as I could not survive on my own in the world of Remnant just yet since I was nothing more than a kid, physically. I fought against that annoying b*stard Crimson Moon by grabbing those individualistic Mages by their necks and making them work together; I aged from overextending myself in my fight against that false moon-dropping maniac. However, I met the characters I knew about for the first time outside of my adoptive mother, Raven.

I helped founded the Clock Tower and made a promise to a friend, and gained immortality. I took my first life in a conflict with an encroaching bandit tribe from another kingdom and nearly died again. I found a rare talented pupil that did not get wrecked under my tutelage and lamented his family's lack of progress in Magecraft over the years. I lost someone, dear, one of the kindest girls I had ever met; she did not deserve her fate as a Maiden. I started the Holy Grail Wars and helped create an item to reach the Root for those who still seek it.

I went on a journey to find strength and growth. I observed how the Moonlit and mundane world grew and changed. I broke past my limits and gained Magic and Divinity. I acted like a grandfather as I was disconnected from the world, with few exceptions. I saw how my world broke down after the discovery of Magecraft by ordinary humans, followed by the death of Mystery. I faced a System User invading my new home and wanting to turn the people I care about into s*x toys.

I ran to the Reverse Side and continued to watch as the world burned from a mirror. I faced Servants and met my future wife, then gained a daughter in all but blood. The world continued to burn, and I wondered why I still existed. I braced myself for decades of waiting so I could return to my home after ensuring All The World's Evils did not have a chance to follow me home. I wondered where I went wrong as the Age of Steel came earlier than intended. I was surprised by the Great Holy Grail War happening in place of a regular Holy Grail War, but I was ready to win no matter what came my way.

I am myself. I hold both Silva Branwen and Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg as myself. I am a reincarnator and Magician of the Second Magic. I am a warrior over an observer, a womanizing lover over someone satisfied with one-night stands. I am a Faunus, not a human. I am Silva Branwen over Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg, but still both. I will return to my home and ensure that the System User is dead and make sure to heal my dying world while not repeating my mistakes. I will slay the gods to ensure the happiness and safety of everyone I care about!

I am Silva Zelretch Branwen.
