It was the night of 2006 in the UK when 14-year-old Sidney Kresse was walking home from his job and was stalked and shot in the throat by an unknown person. While he survived, the incident had done permanent damage his vocal cords, leaving him with only a quiet voice that he could hardly use and even some breathing problems. He, instead, decides to give up using his voice and falls mute.
Now, at 22 years old, Sidney uses some sign language and text-to-speech applications as his only sources of communicating. As the years went on, he never let go of the memory of what happened to him. His trauma had also left him to suffer from low self-esteem and even depression.
However, he meets a woman his age who proves to him that she loves him no matter what. His girlfriend, a young woman named Zavia Miller, never finds out the real reason behind Sidney's trauma, but as she eventually does, she's determined to figure out what occurred that night. Sidney wants her to let it go, as the incident happened years ago, but Zavia will not give up.
With getting the cops involved, and suddenly getting strange texts and emails from a stranger, Zavia hopes that whoever hurt her silent boyfriend is caught and locked up in prison. Sidney, though, has doubts that the person could still be out there.
In the meantime, through the stress of solving this unsolved mystery, Zavia manages to show Sidney that she loves him despite his disability...and that love does not always need a voice.
