Annual Rebirths to End the Empire

"I didn't want things to end like this." She said, looking around. The empire she had tried so hard to protect was destroyed. Plagues, cross-empire wars, nothing was left. She clenched her fists, nails digging into skin. Drawing blood. Suddenly, her head jolted up as voices echoed. Whispering in her ear. Temping. "Your curse is to undo what was written on paper. Nothing more, nothing less." She smiled. Yes, the curse. The curse would save her. "So send me back. Give me Endless rebirths. Until I get it right." ~~~~ Pls help dis rando author ;-; I have dirt bank account and dirt writing skills but gold imagination ~~~~ Please give me viewssssss art release every 5k ~~~~ *read till at least the second chapter before you decide to ditch it pls* - UPDATES RANDOMLY (deal with it, suckers!) CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR - a Skeet and Yeet

CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR - a Skeet and Yeet

The kiddo has brown hair and dark coal eyes. He was crying over his knee, which had a bright red bruise. "I used to get that all the time when I was younger," I said sympathetically, holding out a hand. Asa helped the boy on his other side, but as soon as he could stand, he limped away, hobbling on one leg. I and Asa stood there for a minute before I said, "Skeet and yeet, huh?" oops. Gen Z. "What?" Asa said and I shook my head. "Nothing." Then, suddenly, a droplet fell on my nose. I looked up to see dark, angry clouds. Oh. No wonder that kid scampered off. Suddenly, the rain stopped, and I looked up again to see a familiar white wing shielding me.

"Hey! No way! Asa! I haven't seen you for the whole week! Lower your wing!" I said, grabbing the large white feathers and pushing them away. Asa looked at me. The rain was pouring now, and my hair was getting sprinkled with small circles. "This is the best part of rain, right? We'll just go home and dry up, but for now, we should enjoy!" I said, stepping into the rain. I was completely drenched now, but like my heart, my dress was still fluttering wildly. The streets were slightly flooding now, the rainwater mixing with gunk to make a sort of mud. But I ignored it. Asa took my hand, and we danced in the rain for a while. I ended up tripping multiple times. Once the rain quieted down just a little, the moon came out in the darkness, and a few fireflies flitted around.

"Life's so beautiful."
