Annual Rebirths to End the Empire

"I didn't want things to end like this." She said, looking around. The empire she had tried so hard to protect was destroyed. Plagues, cross-empire wars, nothing was left. She clenched her fists, nails digging into skin. Drawing blood. Suddenly, her head jolted up as voices echoed. Whispering in her ear. Temping. "Your curse is to undo what was written on paper. Nothing more, nothing less." She smiled. Yes, the curse. The curse would save her. "So send me back. Give me Endless rebirths. Until I get it right." ~~~~ Pls help dis rando author ;-; I have dirt bank account and dirt writing skills but gold imagination ~~~~ Please give me viewssssss art release every 5k ~~~~ *read till at least the second chapter before you decide to ditch it pls* - UPDATES RANDOMLY (deal with it, suckers!) CHAPTER FORTY - Mission Impossible be like

Welp. For the last few chapters, there's particularly someone who's been missing. Unless you didn't notice, which would be a bit heartbreaking for the person who didn't show up.

"I searched some books and found some information." Noa said, brushing back a strand of his fiery red hair. His blue eyes were scanning a pile of papers, and he handed one to me without looking up. "Well? Out with it." I said, glancing at the paper. Morse code. A page filled with dashes and dots.

"Long ago, the council of gods shared their powers with the huamans, and to do this, they had to give up a bunch of angels. Basically, they usd blood from angel corpses to make the first magicans, and its why magicians are subtly different from normal humans." Noa said, pushing up his glasses. "But then the seal, the one that gave humans magic in the first place, started to disappear. It went not to the gods, like it was supposed to, but to the angels, and sort of… corrupted them… with the flaws of humans." Noa continued, and I yawned. "This was't something that happened overnight, and it won't end overnight." Noa added, and I started to glance at my nails. "Over the last hundred thousand years, humans have been loosing their magic. Its the year right before the angels become fully corrupted. We can't make any big moves or preparations." Noa finished grandly, and I blinked awake.

"Huuuuh…?"

"Oh, forget it. Here's the leads." Noa sighed, handing me another piece of paper. Now, I was looking at the seal of the imperial house. "Noa, this is-" I began, and Noa nodded. "We'll have to steal papers from the imperial warehouse."
