Annual Rebirths to End the Empire

"I didn't want things to end like this." She said, looking around. The empire she had tried so hard to protect was destroyed. Plagues, cross-empire wars, nothing was left. She clenched her fists, nails digging into skin. Drawing blood. Suddenly, her head jolted up as voices echoed. Whispering in her ear. Temping. "Your curse is to undo what was written on paper. Nothing more, nothing less." She smiled. Yes, the curse. The curse would save her. "So send me back. Give me Endless rebirths. Until I get it right." ~~~~ Pls help dis rando author ;-; I have dirt bank account and dirt writing skills but gold imagination ~~~~ Please give me viewssssss art release every 5k ~~~~ *read till at least the second chapter before you decide to ditch it pls* - UPDATES RANDOMLY (deal with it, suckers!) CHAPTER FIFTY-EIGHT -  The Mage Sage

CHAPTER FIFTY-EIGHT - The Mage Sage

"But what does this do? And what significance does it have to the descent of angels?" I asked walking up to the crystal. "Here, hold the map. Maybe something will happnen." Noa suggested, and I took the paper in my hand. As soon as I touched the cyrstal, I leaped back as the paper turned fire-hot in my hand. Dropping the map, it wa now expanding into a large scroll, as I frantically blew on my hand.

After a few minutes, my hand was safe and Noa was now cautiously poking the scroll. "It has writing now." Noa said seriously, and I crouched to poke it as well. It read,

Hello, whoever you are. I am deeply apologetic about the map earlier, it was to shake off anyone who didnt know what they were doing. But you definitely do, seeing as how you followed this through. Congratulations! You have found the last living testament of the greatest mage in the world, the Mage Sage. I have a terrible name - Im reply apologetic about that too. But jokes aside, you, hero, must know by now that the angels will descend in about 100 years - by the time this is found, it may be even less. But let me say this - become the People's King. Everything will be easy then.

I frowned. Then flipped the paper over. Nothing on the back. That was it. "Some great Mage Sage this guy is. I would have shot for People's King even if nothing had been said." I sighed, and Noa peered at the letter. "Really? I can't read anything." "Oh. It's just me, then." I said, and Noa nodded.

"So, People's king?"
