Annie wiped her sweaty forehead. Today had been a very stressful day. Having to bake a loaf of pastries and all.

She closed the bakery for that day and headed home. She had closed a bit earlier so she could spend the day with Christine.

She entered her car and drove off. It was still bubbling with life in the city. Annie smiled as she saw some children run around squealing and laughing.

It reminded her of her childhood. Robert used to make sure she was always happy and tried to play with her as often as he could.

Their parents tried to support them in every way they could and tried to give them a good life.

Her world was shattered the day she learnt of her parents death. She was devastated and would not stop crying on Robert's shoulder. She was only eleven years old when they died.

Their relatives despised them and none of them were welcome in their own relatives homes.
