Our Solace

Soon the song came to end. As She stopped playing and glanced at him to find a set of deep brown eyes gazing at her deeply, like ready to drawn her in them entirely. Soon she realized that she was looking at him so she lowered her head and stood up and both of them started to walk.

" This piece is amazing. Does it have a name?" Asked Lucian turning towards her.

"Yes It's called 'Our solace'." Said Anna. She took small pause then continue as she found his eyes on her urging her to tell more.

" When I was little, i have heard a story of an angel falling in love with a devil.  They were opposite of each other but they found their love and salvation in each other.  So I created this music on based of their story. As they found their solace with each other. They where opposite of each other but then also they were meant to be one." Explained Anna.

Lucian was listening to her each and every word attentively.

"I never noticed that you are very skilled in these things too apart from fooling around." Came the sarcastic words from the man walking by her side. As his toned change from praising to mocking.

At his words Anna's lips twitched a little, She was little annoyed so she just ignored his words and keep walking. It was like he never leave a chance to tease her. Noticing her sulking expressions Lucian's lips rose in smile. He really enjoyed teasing her.

"Have you had your lunch?" He questioned again.

"Yes... and now I'm tired, see you later." She hastily added last sentence as if afraid that he will ask her again to join for lunch same as today morning. With that she also started to walk faster.

Looking at her behaving like this a small chuckle escaped his lips. Hearing him laughing on her Anna craned her neck and glance at him to find a mocking smile on his lips. And she became angrier, but as she didn't want to speak to him so she just lowered her head and started to walk towards her room.

As soon as she reached near her room she hastily entered inside and close the door but not fully. She glanced at him from a small split. And he also stopped in front of her door, he said.

"How rude!" Looking at her childish behavior he laughed again this time louder than before. At his words Anna's lips pouted and she closed the door shut with a loud thud. Lucian just shook his head in amusement and left too.

Inside the room Anna was pacing here and there. She was very embarrassed and confuse at her behavior earlier. Why did she behave childishly at his remarks? She even forget about her pretense as Hannah, at this rate she will surely expose herself sooner or later, thought Anna to herself.

She made a mental note to keep her behavior in check when she was around him to avoid any mistakes. She was thinking about this as her eyes fell on the folder placed on the side table. She picked it up and sat on the bed and flipped it open. It was a same folder she received from butler Faron this morning.

Inside was all the academic certificates and results of Hannah. She looked through all of them, at the end she was surprised that Hannah was practically very good in studies. Except from the last year result all of them were very impressive. Then she took a look at the information of all the universities and then about different courses.

She read all of them, while doing that she get a basic understanding of the education system here. And she was impressed with that. She never even for once left the Saulwoods, so she didn't know much about the world outside of their community. It was not that non of members of her village had gone outside, actually many of them go outside and live with the humans like one of them. There were also some who do business outside and make a chain between both humans and Witches.

It was just that Anna never left her home because her mother never let her. Her mother was afraid that her gentle and innocent daughter won't be able to keep herself safe. So she never let her go outside. She was only child Judith has, Anna's father was passed away when she was two years old. And after that Anna was the only family member Judith has until Dominic came into their life. So her possessiveness for Anna as a mother was very much strong.

Even Dominic also spent much time in human civilization, as he was the part of the royal court and have to mingle with the humans to keep up with new development of the outside world apart from their village.

She used to listen to him talking about all the new things that he learns whenever he goes on any trips for business purpose.

Soon she felt tired, so she closed the folder and lay down on the bed and fell into deep slumber.
