8 Friend

Turning around to look at who it was. A tall man with a white shirt and a blue winter jacket along with blue pants and sneakers appeared in my view.

He had black hair that resembled a mohawk but with more hair. And a small mustache that didn't match his facial structure.

"Shit Jack, you scared me there for a second. And how come I always find you in fast food restaurants?"

"I could say the same thing for you, Robin," the man named Jack said while sitting down on the chair that was placed opposite mine.

He was none other than my best friend who I have known since grade school.

Although we don't meet often since we go to different schools, we still find each other in the streets. And when we do, we always celebrate the occasion in some way.

"So how's it been, bro?" I asked while putting my hand up reaching for a dap.

"You know, same old same. Mom's been bugging me about my grades like usual. She tells all her friends that I'm gonna be an engineer when I don't have nearly enough points to become one." He said while reciprocating the gesture.

He then took off to the register before coming back with his order.

The time passed as we sat there eating while talking about what's been going on in our lives. And the thought of telling him about the diamond that I had "found" never crossed my mind since we're only here to enjoy each other's company.

'Haaah, what am I saying? instead of a guy, I should be going out on dates with girls and enjoying their company instead'.

And even though I say that a relationship was something that I thought could be nice. I never really longed for one too much.

Instead, I just wanted to lose my virginity. Of course with a hot girl from our school or someone famous.

And it might not be that hard since with the money I would earn from the auction, I would become a multi-millionaire. And there's nothing girls loved more than guys with money. Except for a big little brother, and I didn't lack in that department either.

When we had finished our meal, we went out to an arcade located near the mall. There we spent the whole afternoon playing games such as zombie shooter and Tekken which I destroyed him.

When the time was around 5 pm, we decided to go back home and part ways. So after our goodbyes, I took a walk to the apartment building which wasn't that far away.

As I opened the door, I could hear my mom in the living room screaming at me.

"Robin is that you? Where have you been all day? You must be starving. I left your meal in the kitchen go change before you eat it."

"Alright, mom." A smile crept onto my face.

When I went inside my room, I started by taking off my vest which I had worn during the whole day. 'I guess there was no use for it in the end.'

After I changed into some comfier clothes, I went to the kitchen before eating lunch. I then washed the dishes before heading into the living room to hang out with mom.

The two days had passed which I mostly spent in the house. I went to the library once again and studied a bit more. And when I returned I then watched Mha and focused mostly on Momo and how she utilized her quirk to get some ideas.

During this time I had tried to open the mysterious app more than once but it had never worked.

I had suspected that it was only a one-time use or that it had a specific timer between each entrance. So I would have to wait a few more days to try since by then it would have passed the one-week mark. And I was sure it would work by then.

Today was the day that the auction would occur. It was supposed to begin at 12 pm and would end around 2 pm.

So I woke up quite early to get myself ready for the day. I had put on my nice suit which I had only worn during a few weddings my mom took me to. It was navy blue along with a white button shirt, a black tie, and some black shoes.

Key had called me earlier and told me that he would send a ride to pick me up from the mall at 11 am. Which was only half an hour away. And I who was at home needed to hurry.

But when I was about to put on my shoes, mom suddenly came out of her room and looked at me.

" Why are you wearing a suit?" She asked me

" I have a surprise that I need to bring back mom," I said trying to keep it a secret from her. And it wasn't a lie since I was gonna surprise her with the money.

"Hm? A surprise? That's new, I wonder what it is." She walked back inside her room while trying to figure out what the surprise would be.

And with a wry smile on my face, I walked out of the apartment before heading out to the meeting place.

You guys have been bugging me about the short chapters so I decided to write one in the middle of the night for you guys.

I hope you're happy, now my sleep schedule is messed up. ( not like it wasn't screwed in the beginning)
