229 229. Weird. There Is No Way She Will Let Me Go

His consciousness was in a dark place. Without any light illuminating the surroundings, he couldn't see anything around him. He began to wonder if he was in the afterlife and awaiting judgment from King Enma. Suddenly, his body jolted, he felt as if he had fallen into a bottomless abyss.

"Was I thrown into hell?" That's what's on his mind.

It turned out that, instead of falling into a bottomless abyss, he had fallen into a bright place that made it difficult to see with his eyes after being in the dark for too long.

When he managed to open his eyes, he saw a blue sky surrounded by white clouds and the scorching sun.

"Am I in heaven? Is there sunshine in heaven?"

Izumi who woke up from his slumber muttered.

"Heaven huh? It's so good that you've tasted heaven with that beautiful girl. You bastard!!! I want something good like that too!"

"Izumi, you're so lucky to have a more handsome face than both of us. You even did "that" with the girl until you passed out from exhaustion."

Izumi was surprised to hear the voices of Hiroyuki and Shō whose expressions were filled with jealousy. He didn't get what happened when he passed out. And also, he didn't really hear what the two of them were saying.

Izumi tried to move, but his body felt weak which made him remember what happened before he fell unconscious.

"How can I still be alive? I'm pretty sure that my internal organs have been badly damaged. Did she heal me? But I doubt that. If she did that, she Should be right here, waiting for me to wake up. What is she planning to do by letting me live? Is she going to use me as she did to Kumoko just to kill her boredom?"

Izumi spoke to himself. He felt a chill when he thought that D was the one who healed him. Or it could be that she had resurrected him from the dead. But if she could resurrect someone, hadn't she already done so with students, a teacher, and a spider that had fallen victim to the magic that came from another dimension?

On the other hand, he also remembered that she planned to use his family to blackmail him. In which, he unleashed his wrath, even though it was pointless against her.

More importantly, knowing he was alive and kicking was somewhat odd. He was so sure he couldn't be saved because he knew D couldn't resurrect him. If D does, only his soul will be sent to another world where he will be reincarnated as she did to Kumoko and the others.

Hiroyuki and Shō replied with anger as their expressions told him so.

Izumi didn't understand why Hiroyuki and Shō were mad at him. He wanted to know the reason. If D told them that he was about to die, there was no way they had such expressions.

Hiroyuki and Shō said the same thing as what they said when Izumi just opened his eyes earlier.

Izumi widened his eyes because of what they said.

"You said what?" Izumi asked in astonishment.

Hiroyuki said with a clenched fist as if it wanted to punch him. Meanwhile, Izumi was taken aback by the misunderstanding of his friends.

"Where's that girl?"

Izumi was curious. Was he still living like this because she saved him? What for? Did she want to use him as a new toy besides Kumoko? Had she not read his memories yet that she decided not to kill him? But, is she that different from the original story? Did she really have the ability to heal him? Or, is there another person he doesn't know? Izumi kept questioning in his heart. It remains a mystery how he is still alive now. At the very least, he would know it when he met D again. But then again, she is too dangerous for him. He needs to find a way to take her down, or else his life won't be peaceful anymore.

Izumi asked the others if that girl said something before leaving. But Hiroyuki and Shō were too noisy as their jealousy toward Izumi had reached its peak. He turned to Tsukushi who didn't say much and asked something. Tsukushi answered him.

"At first she was walking alone and she said you passed out after doing something together, so she left you behind. We were quite shocked by what she said. She also left a message for you. "We will meet again, just you wait!" like that. Then she went somewhere."

Izumi shuddered when he imagined D saying something like that. Moreover, there was an 80% chance that she was the one who healed Izumi.

"What does that mean? Is she gonna move next to my house or something? Please leave me be!"

Izumi felt like crying when he thought about that. It was a big mistake for him to investigate a class that was hit by a magic attack from another world. And now, he was already marked by a god that was currently impossible to defeat.

"What to do?" Izumi muttered while biting his nails. He didn't know how to get away from her.

He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. After repeatedly stabilizing his breathing, he began to calm down and think.

So far, D hadn't done anything to harm humanity, but that couldn't be said of her enemy. As had happened when Kumoko and the others were hit by a magic attack aimed at D.

"I have to prepare for the worst. Even if it costs my life."

Izumi made up his mind as he would face D again or maybe her enemies sooner or later. He looked at Hiroyuki and Shō who had been making a fuss.

"Why are you guys so noisy?"

Hiroyuki said while pointing his index finger at him, then he covered his eyes which were starting to tear up from jealousy due to Izumi. Meanwhile, Shō felt jealous because he wanted to enjoy what Izumi felt together with the girl.

"The fuck! I'm sick, you know!" Izumi could only yell at them with his remaining strength. Then, Jin started to speak.

"Yeah, you two calm down a bit, look at his face, he looks pale!" Jin pointed at Izumi's face which was clearly pale like a sick person.

When the two realized what Jin had said, they fell silent while scratching their heads.

Izumi also heard what Jin said and made him say.

"I just suddenly felt dizzy and fell unconscious, how could I do anything to that girl?"

Shō wanted to confirm.

"So you didn't do anything to her?"

"Unfortunately, no." Izumi just shook his head. But then, Hiroyuki clicked his tongue.

"Tsk. What a disappointment. I thought you had fun with her."

Izumi twitched his cheek, then said.

"Hiroyuki, looks like you want to get beaten."

"I can do it in your stead you know."

This time, it was Jin who responded to Izumi's words. Hiroyuki waved his hands.

"Wait, wait, I was just kidding. Ahh, nooo."

Not only Jin, but Tōru also restrained Hiroyuki from behind to prevent him from running away.
