CH. 42: One Way Around

Velzard shot her most powerful ice attacks at Akira. Thousands of compact icicles and frozen orbs, all delivered in a huge barrage of attacks. But before any attack could reach Akira, they would melt instantly and evaporate.

"WHY ISN'T THIS WORKING??" She keeps questioning with confusion in her voice and growing frustration.

"Your attacks are nice and all but they aren't powerful enough to reach me, Velzard" Akira says nonchalantly. This makes a vain pop on Velzard's forehead seeing how this creature dares to underestimate her.

Pride was circulating in the vains of the true dragon she is. She was not going to let Akira take the best out of her.

"YOU'LL REGRET THIS AKIRA!" Velzard stops throwing the 'weak' attacks at Akira then decides to use her ultimate skill [Patience King Gabriel]. She stretches her hands in opposite sides then light beams start appearing, taking the form of colorful strings of light that surround Akira.

"Oh~ Excess energy" Akira says, he receives an explanatory response from the fired up Velzard, "Indeed. My skill lets me accumulate more power and strength the longer my fight continues.

And with all that strength, I'm able to form the excess energy into string that can cut through space-time itself." The strings of energy become bigger by the second, they're now more than three with each being almost a hundred meters.

Velzard swigs one of her energy beams aiming on Akira. He dodges it with ease but that effortless slash cut down an entire frozen mountain, "Not bad, I think I've seen a technic like this somewhere but I just can't put my finger on it…"

Velzard then begins using her super strength to try and reach Akira. He avoids every swing which frustrates the dragon even more. He is amused by her desperate attacks.

Though he was starting to get bored by this, Akira catches one of the strings bare-handed. He puts an evil smirk that gives Velzard shivers in her back, "Didn't see that coming?"

Akira pulls the string at his direction which causes the female dragon to be taken with it, and as the distance closed he gives her a powerful punch on the stomach, "GKUA!" She groanes.

She spits a mouthful of blood before being sent into the air, with the force of a hundred miles per second. Velzard gets up and wipes the blood off her mouth.

Massive blue-scales dragon wings appear on her back and she flies at Akira while being in a berserk state.

Akira pulls his hand up then speaks with a serious tone, "Your cheap tricks won't work against me" Velzard hears Akira snapping her fingers. And as soon as that happens, the all-colorful light beams surrounding Akira became completely gray, devoid of any colors, frozen in time.

Not only that, but her strength and speed decrease dramatically. She throws fast and strong punches at her adversary but he dodges without taking a sweat. Akira had deactivated her ultimate skill, temporally.

"I don't need to continue wasting my time" The primordial demons all line up in front of their lover, ready to strike the dragon at any moment. Velzard knows she doesn't stand a chance, Akira did not react to any of her attacks, and now that he's backed up with the power of three demon goddesses, she was at a merciful state.

"…" Velzard wants to speak but she fins nothing to say. She glares at the four extraordinarily powerful monsters she has to fight.

Her expression becomes calm and she starts cooling down. Taking a small sigh, she speaks with her normal voice, "Fine. I guess you win this fight, and I doubt those three would let me escape anyway"

Testarossa, Carrera and Ultima grin back at her because she was right, even if she runs at light speed there won't be a place they won't find her at.

"So, what now? What are your plans since you've defeated me and Guy?" Velzard asks with a neutral face and her hands crossed, "I don't really plan anything, I don't spend a lot of time in this world because we mostly visit other places" Akira replies.

Velzard is surprised by what Akira just said, its not the 'other world' part that shocked her but the fact that he wasn't going to try dominating the world or breaking the demon lords now that he's got rid of the 'strongest beings'.

However, what she couldn't help was her rage as she felt the constant stares from the three primordial whom she really hated, "You three will pay for what you've done to our friends." Velzard says in an annoyed tone.

"We'd love to see who will make us pay, dragon" Testarossa mocked her, Carrera rests her hand on the white demon's shoulder then laughs, "Yeah, I'd love to see you try!" Ultima was just silent but she emitted a very strong killing intent.

A sweat formed on Velzard's face. She was feeling very powerless because the three girls were right, who would be powerful enough to give them what they deserve.

Thanks to Luminous revealing herself as the true demon lord, she was able to resurrect Carrion and Roy back into life, but her mastery of that secret art was very weak. Their friends were back to life but still in a fugue and confused state.

Velzard remembers this sad reality which makes her very sad. She swallows her pride and accepts the fact that she lost a fight against someone stronger than her. She did not hold any grudge against Akira, in fact, she was grateful he pulled such an intense fight that got her blood again. But when it concerns the three arrogant girls facing her, it was a whole different matter.

'I think I know how to torture them…' Velzard thinks.

She jumps past them and towards Akira, she did not hold any hostility against him so it took them some time to realize it. Velzard catches the nonchalant Akira from both shoulders.

"What the…" the three girls say. But then their faces turn red and they scream in shock as they see Velzard hurriedly kissing Akira on the mouth while pulling him towards her to make it last.

"G-G-GET AWAY FROM HIM!!!" The three simultaneously shout while pulling her back. But despite their strongest attempts Velzard does not stop kissing Akira while holding his cheeks.

'HAHAHA! If I can't hurt you then I'll just steal your partner in front of you!!' Velzard thinks as she envelops her tongue around his.

Carrera, with blushes of embarrassment, points <Doom> directly at the dragon's head, "I SAID… GET AWAY FROM HIM!!" She yells while pulling the trigger.

'Oh shit!' Velzard and Akira jump in opposite directions and dodge Carrera's powerful shot that melted down the frozen ground itself. The huge golden beam pierced through the earth's crust and turned the weather upside down.

Velzard appears in front of the three girls with a grinning expression and blushes on her cheeks. This was her way of revenge, not to mention that she liked it a bit even though it was supposed to be only a provocation.

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" Ultima screams with teary eyes and frustration, she was on the edge of crying.

Velzard licked the drops of saliva on her mouth the spoke with a normal voice, "Revenge is delicious~" She says.

"WHY YOU BITCH!—" Carrera revolts but Akira stops her, saying that it was no big deal. Velzard celebrates this victory, he knew Velzard's calm personality and was fine with it.

Testarossa is the most angry by this. She didn't want anything else but to make her suffer for being so undecent, but if Akira says he doesn't mind then it's fine.

"Why don't you come visit my castle Akira? You will love it!" Velzard says. This gets the girls on EDGE.

"You mean the frozen palace where you live?" Akira asks, the dragon nods in agreement.

He accepted her offer, and the five departed towards the place where Velzard lives. He was going to visit this frozen masterpiece and he told Ultima to bring Esdeath because she wouldn't miss a chance like this one anytime.
