Chapter 40 :- Assualt on school

Hiro fell on his knees as tear started to drop one by one on the ground. He gasped for air and shouted from the top of his lung :-

" Nikoooooo..., Nikooo " shouted Hiro

Everyone rushed at Hiro and were in shock. Hiro looked around and saw Yuzi sitting with no emotion on her face. Her eyes were red as they were dried up. The smile on her face was turned into a frown and her hair were not tied. Her hands had big slashes and blood was gushing out of the wounds , but she was unfazed. Hiro grabbed the cat that Niko gave him before his way to the mountain.

" Niko , look I saved the cat , Niko sit up see the cat is happy she want to talk to you please wake up Niko " said Hiro as his voice stutter. Hiroshi tried to stop Hiro but Mimiko grabbed him and said :- " Hiroshi , wait just don't"

" But Mimiko " said Hiroshi

" Wait , trust me " said Mimiko

" Water.....water...." said a farmer as he crawled toward Kazuki.

Kazuki was a tough boy. Often taking control over his emotions , he rarely showed empathy or sympathy to anyone around him. The only emotion he ever showed were anger , rage grumpiness and laughter. For the first time ever , Kazuki felt a heat wave building within himself. A tear rolled down his cheek as he was confused and scared at the same time. He grabbed the villager and gave him his water bottle to drink. The farmer started to drink water. Kazuki sat down and kept the farmer's head on his lap. He looked into farmer eyes and saw that a baby , covered in cloth which was tied to the farmer chest was sleeping peacefully. In a last ditch effort , the farmer sat down and untied the cloth. He handed the baby to Kazuki and grabbed his hand.

" Please , take care of her , I beg you , please " said the farmer

" What , happened..... here " asked Kazuki.

The farmer took a breath as it seemed he was about to saw a word. However it was his last gasp for air. The farmer died in Kazuki lap. Kazuki never witnessed a death of a human in front of him. He used to think that emotions are just burden that weakens one purity and power. However, this time Kazuki sat still. No words , no tears , no emotion. The baby grabbed Kazuki finger and yawned.

" Wait a minute where's grandpa " asked Jetchi

No one wanted to think what would have happened to grandpa Gorosuke. They thought that they might have lost him. Scared , Mimiko, Kanako, Hiroshi and Jetchi went inside the school.

Gorosuke was standing in a still position as he was either meditating or knocked out. They saw hundred of men women and children standing behind him. Upon closure inspection, Mimiko noticed that Grandpa had used his animal spirit to guard the Villagers by forming a shield around them. Body of demon's were every where. Gorosuke hands were covered in blood and his hand shook periodically. Gorosuke shirt was ripped and his chest had slashed all over it.

" Animal technique Spirit unleashed:- Realm domain" said Mimiko

" Huh , what happened" said Gorosuke as he woke up.

" Children " said Gorosuke , however as soon as he said that he collapsed on the ground.

" Run .... " said Gorosuke as he fainted.

Hiro still in shock , went to Yuzi and asked :-

" Who did this "

Yuzi didn't responded.

" Kazuki " asked Ryo

Kazuki didn't responded as he tied the baby to his back and went inside. Ryo followed him inside the school where everyone was present. Hiroshi clenched his fist and smashed a near by bell in anger. It was a moment that no one expected ever in their life.

The monks came upfront and said to the children:-

" We shall explain you everything , but first we must save those who can be saved and conduct a burial for the deceased"

No one said a word , but Ryo , wiping his face nodded.
