Chapter 24- Way Home

When I woke up I was laying on a bed. Though you really couldn't all it a bed as all of the feathers had left the casing and the wood that supported the mattress was all rotted away. The what used to be a bed was on the ground laying atop the rotted wood. This seemed to be a masters bedroom as the room was big and the bed had a canopy, or used to. That to had fallen over, showing just how old this room was.

Pulling myself from the 'bed' I got up to take a look around the room. All over the room was moss and decayed furniture. The remnants of a painting on the wall was of a very beautiful woman with silver hair and what looked to be green eyes, though it was so old and faded that I couldn't be sure. It seemed that she was the proprietor of this room, maybe even the Queen that used to live here in the castle.

"She's beautiful."

Continuing on I went to the door to try and leave, but I found out that it was locked and in strangely good shape unlike the rest of the room. No part of the door was rotted it only looked a few years old at most.

"Hmm, what should I do. Should I just wait for something to happen."

Deciding to do just that I went over to the broken window to se how high I was and what the view looked like. Trying to kill time. To my surprise I was only on the third floor, which also seemed to be the top floor. Outside the view was oddly tranquil with the decayed castle and wide open forest beyond. It was a very surreal scene.

That was when I sensed that someone else had entered the room without opening the door. Though it wasn't any Demon because I didn't recognize the feeling or smell.

"Are you the owner of this Castle."

"..."

"I'll take the silence as a yes. Which also must mean that you were once the Queen of this land."

"What are you. You aren't human and you certainly aren't a demon." The lady asked.

"Hmm, well I used to be human but right now I don't know what I am."

"You also have my blessing. I thought that I had burned all the copies of that ritual. Anyways you may call me Yue, Goddess of the moon. " She said.

That was a shock to me, I had never heard of any other goddesses or gods in this world besides the one that the humans fervently worshipped. The God of creation Entei. Which could only mean one thing, that the humans just like in my home world covered up or erased all traces of the other gods just because they didn't like the competition.

"My name is Alex." I bowed slightly to show my respect.

"Hmm come with me." She said.

Yue went to the front door and opened it, waiting for me to follow. Now wasting any time I quickly followed her out the door and down the flight of stairs. Past the second floor, than the first floor.

On the first floor she pulled the candle stick on the wall and a secret door opened up, leading down. Down, down, down we went until we finally came to the bottom after what felt like a couple hundred stairs.

I was expecting to see a dungeon or at the very least a torture room, but surprisingly it was a very well kept almost brand new room. Lights lit up with magic stones lined the walls, a plush well kept white couch was in the middle with an ornate table in the front. A very nice looking red carpet on the floor. A king sized bed with beautiful clean sheets was at the far end of the room with a sheer canopy around it.

Yue went to the couch and sat down, she motioned for me to join her. Joining her on the couch I waited for her to talk because it seemed like she had something important to say to me.

"Your not from this world are you." She said.

"... How did you know."

"Your smell, demons and humans all smell the same to me. They smell of the earth from this world. However you don't smell like this world."

"You are right I was forcibly summoned to this world by the humans as their HERO. I got caught up in it and was betrayed and tortured by the humans for months until the demons saved me. Now all I want is to be able to go home."

"Hmm." She just sat their thinking for a minute with a very adorable look on her face.

I almost got lost in that look.

"OK! I will send you home than." She said with a triumphant look on her face.

"What! Can you really do that."

"Hehe. Of course I can I am a goddess after all. I can send you home anytime you wish."

Upon hearing that I could go home anytime that I wished made me extremally happy. I had been stuck in this god forsaken world for nearly two years and now I could finally go home. Though I did make some friends with the demons I still wanted more than anything to go home, and to be able to stop fighting.

So I wrote a letter to the demons saying my farewells and asked if Yue would be able to deliver it to the Demon King. She was more than happy to oblige.

Then she asked me to stand up as she created a magic circle in an instant, at my feet. As I was being enveloped by the same light that brought me to this world Yue said one final thing to me.

"I will see you again my dear. Next time let us spend more time together." She said with a sultry smile on her face.

She waved goodbye and then I was gone from this world. I returned to my world and than lived in the slums because I didn't know how to face you guys with what I looked like. Or how to explain my mental change with everything that I had done.

When Alex finished his story everyone had tears in their eyes, not knowing that this was what he had gone through. They all just hugged again and stayed like that for a while again.
