Chapter 10: Birthday Party Part 1
Alei's POV (point of veiw)
My name is Alexis Laverdo or Alei for short.
A few years ago, I rescued a fat girl named... right I forgot to ask her name. Anyways, I heard that she moved to Doc Chariz' house. Doc plans to surprise her and throw a party, she invited me and my girlfriend, Pharcia Balvette.
We're currently getting ready, I finished putting on my tuxedo, and I look good.
I knocked on my girlfriend's room door to pick her up. She opened the door, and I saw a very beautiful woman. We met a year ago, when I was down in the dumps since I couldn't find my soulmate, it was raining and she lend me her umbrella and I fell head over heels for her. I confessed to her and she accepted. That's how our story goes.
We headed to doc's house, which was a mansion by the way, and arrived a minute earlier than expected.
Pharcia went to chatt with her friends, so I went to the food table and ate some shrimps. As expected of doc, her parties are always fancy.
The lights turned off and the spotlights turned on, I could see doc at the center of the spotlight.
"Today, I have gained a daughter, and I want to celebrate this joyous occasion with my closest friends and relatives. I present to you, Angela Rose, my new daughter" she said so proudly.
Then 'she' came out of the dark and surprised every single person in the hall. 'She' looks like the girl I rescued from the forest. Could it be that, she's her? She looks... beautiful.

Angela's POV (point of veiw)
A few moments earlier...
Doc, lead me to the hallway connecting to the entrance. She stopped and turned to me.
She smiled and said, "Angela, if it's ok with you, can I be your mother from now on?"
Tears dropped from my eyes, I was happy. I know that I can't abandon my aunt and her family but I also want doc to be my mom, being selfish isn't so bad once in a while right? After all, I'm still 9 years old. Well, 10 since it's my birthday today.
I wiped my tears and said, "YES!"
She hugged me and said "Happy Birthday".
She went to the center of the stairs. All the spotlights were focused on her and so was all the people.
"Today, I have gained a daughter, and I want to celebrate this joyous occasion with my closest friends and relatives. I present to you, Angela Rose, my new daughter" she said so proudly.
I wiped my tears and took a deep breath. I walked to the direction of Doctor Chariz, for her to accompany me.
At the end of the stairs were 5 men wearing white tuxedos each have different colors of roses in their chest pocket. They bowed when we arrived at the bottom.
"Angela, these 5 young men are my sons. From now on they're your brothers", the doc said, she leaned in a bit closer and said "they've always wanted a little sister" again and winked.
The man who seems to be the youngest of the five approached me.
"Would you like to have this dance with me dear sister?" He asked and bowed, he raised his hand for me to accept.
I looked up at the doc and she nodded.
"I would love to", he grinned.
Everybody made way for us to dance, the music started. It was waltz.
You may not have heard but I know how to dance.
We started dancing, I may not be as good as him but at least I can keep up. The way he moves is very gentle, I can tell the he's matching his pace with mine so that I can keep up.
"Are you enjoying your party lil sis, and is it okay to call you lil sis?" He said kind of nervous?
"Yeah I am and also you can call me lil sis but what can i call you" I asked.
"Hmm. I guess bro bro is the perfect fit for me"
"Hehe, then bro bro it is"
"Speaking of, my name is Carl Paladin" he pulled put the red rose in his pocket and put it on my ear, just so you know, the rose has no thorns.
The music stopped
"Oh looks like it's his turn. Happy Birthday lil sis" he left the spotlight that we shared.
